“Recently got a carry out from the Clinton Township location I ordered a bowl. It was very salty which I can only attribute to the rice since it’s chicken based the rest was grilled pork and fresh vegetables. I gave up half way thru just couldn’t handle the salty taste. Maybe they should sample it before serving?“

I’ve never once had an order arrive wrong or missing an item, which is a huge plus. My latest order of chicken bites, a large hummus with pita, and their garlic sauce was absolutely delicious. The chicken was perfectly seasoned, juicy, and tender, the hummus was fantastic, and the garlic sauce was just perfect. Highly recommend!“

“I went to the Middle Eats on Eureka Rd in Southgate after the gym. My doctor put me a pretty restrictive diet due to my diabetes. I admit I was kind of apprehensive walking in because it’s been a real chore to stick to it when I have to eat out. I walked in and a young lady named Kayla R was at the counter. I apologized to her saying I need to ask questions about my order and I’m on dietary restrictions. She was incredibly nice and understanding. She asked me what I could and couldn’t eat and even made suggestions on how to make my meal that would comply to the restrictions. She even said she could make a phone call to find the exact ingredients of the sauce if I wanted her to. I was so impressed. In the end I got a bowl that complied to the dietary restrictions and it was very good. The other employees were also making suggestions and when I apologized for being a pain they all said they were happy to help. This wasn’t my first time there and it definitely won’t be my last. I can’t express my gratitude on how they all went totally out of their way to accommodate me. Thank you Kayla and staff!“

“We had a phenomenal experience at Lena. We sat at a high top right along the kitchen. The staff was truly exceptional. Nolan and Mike were great and the chefs were beyond knowledgeable and friendly. We had the tinned fish, perch and clams. Everything was fabulous! Unfortunately we did not take any photos but will certainly be back and would highly recommend.“

I ordered the chicken shawarma bowl online and it was ready when I got there. I arrived within 15 minutes of placing the order and it wasn't very hot. It is enough food for 2 or 3 meals. I will eat there again“

“Just moved to the area & tried them for the first time about a month ago and They have the BEEEESSSSTTT chicken shawarma EVEEER. Every time I get one it has the right amount of everything. Literally portioned perfectly. Garlic sauce in every bite, pickle and the right amount of chicken. You can tell it’s all white meat as well. I don’t too much care for dark meat in shawarma. Last night me and my boyfriend got a platter right before closing and it was fresh and hot !!! They have fresh puff bread too. Man o man was it amazingly good. My ONLY complaint is that I wish they put more shawarma chicken/steak.. they were a little stingy with that but other than that it was delicious. I eat here weekly now 😩😂😂“

“If I knew how to post a picture to this review I would. The food looked amazing but when I lifted the potatoes up from my breakfast bowl it was so much grease. Edit. After speaking with them they corrected the situation and assured me it was a one time thing. I appreciate the fast response and them taking the time to talk to me. “Ya know I can't really say alot about this place because I order the same thing every time...chicken shwarma. What I can tell you is its absolutely awesome. And the portions are incredible too. The young men, and young lady that I deal with on the phone and @ the counter are always friendly, helpful, and and accommodating as I personalize my meal. (No parsley, lol).

“The Ham Shop truly feels like a hidden gem in Detroit, and I’m so glad I stumbled across it! From the moment I walked in, the service was warm, friendly, and welcoming. The food came out fast and hot, and everything tasted incredibly fresh and delicious. And I HAVE to mention the lemon rice soup, SO GOOD, I had to make a request to have one to go!

“My husband and I love Lebanese cuisine so it was something we sought out when traveling to Detroit for a concert. This spot blew us away. The hummus was silky, the baba was top tier, the tabbouleh was lemony and delicious, the softest foldable pita, perfectly made grape leaves, and flavorful fried kibbeh! It is clear upon entering that it is family owned and the staff could not have made us feel more welcomed and at home- we were on a first name basis with all by the time we left. “I came all the way from New York and decided to try Jakova Grill, and I’m glad I did. The food was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The grilled meat platter was tender, juicy, and served with a delicious fresh salad. The portions were generous, and everything tasted homemade.

The staff was welcoming and attentive, and the atmosphere was clean, comfortable, and relaxing. You can tell they take pride in both their food and customer service.

“Now this place is amazing. It has everything you want. The food is fantastic. Lots to pick from and the guys behind the counter are not your typical store food chefs. They are making art with food. Your mouth will know the difference. Plus they have a full store of goods and drinks. It's a one stop shop for basically anything you need. The staff is very cool. One guy reminds me of Sal for Deadwood. It's fun just to visit. They also deliver if you don't want to go there. Reminds me of some southern cooking. One guybhas 25 yrs in the place cooking and creates some amazing dishes like chicken alfredo stuff potatoes. Or Lamb chops. Wingdigs are out of this world. Full kitchen with lots of choices.“
