“My wife and I recently had dinner at Lumen Detroit and overall it was a great experience. The first thing that stands out is the design! The space is gorgeous, with an open, modern feel and big windows that make it perfect for both daytime and evening dining. The atmosphere is lively and stylish. The service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, I tried the crab cakes and everythingbagel wings for the apps and the lumen burger with truffle fries which was cooked beautifully with full of flavor and the presentation and taste was excellent! I’m changing my rating of the experience based on Owen’s response, as most owners do not attempt to rectify a bad situation.

I have never had an experience as bad as the one I just had at Firebird Tavern. Needless to say I will never return or recommend this place to anyone. The visit started well and our server was very pleasant and attentive. Halfway through our visit, a full tray of drinks and shots was spilled on me to the point that a mop was needed and a wet floor signed was placed behind me. Not only that, but my white shirt is stained and not reparable. I was soaked. The server eventually did apologize to me and told me that she was personally comping ONE of my drinks. First of all, I would NEVER expect the server to comp any drinks. Second of all, I was never approached by the manager to access the damage or talk about comps, WHICH I would assume from the establishment itself. When we were brought our bill, I asked the server, ‘what is the establishment taking care of for my damages’. The manager eventually came to talk to me and did not seem aware of the situation, even after many servers explained what happened and I showed him my clothing that was still wet and stained. He simply replied that the server was comping one drink and he would see what he could do. The server came back with the same bill, no initiative from the bar or manager and I paid for the bill as it was. How is this acceptable from a bar that my table paid several rounds of drinks and food for the night? I have never experienced this lack of care in my life and cannot express my disappointment and frustration with the management and overall experience of Firebird. What an embarrassment to our city. As a resident of the downtown area, I would never expect such a terrible experience.“

“Originally from Michigan but now live in Florida. Went to Detroit for the weekend to attend Red Wings games. Looked for perch dinners and found Andrew’s. Absolutely awesome perch with a generous portion. Loved the atmosphere of the old time era. Staff exceptionally friendly as was the owner. Would definitely recommend this place and can’t wait to return. What I liked was the minimal breading so you have the true taste of perch. This is by far the place to go if you love perch.“

My only complaint was the staff could be a little more welcoming and enthusiastic. The lady at the door was on her phone on a facetime call when we came in (which she did appologize for but didn't get off the phone) and the waitress just seemed short and not really happy. She wasn't rude and got our order right, so I still gave it 5 stars. It just seemed with the atmosphere that they would be a little bubblier and more enthusiastic. But I would still definitely come there again. I still gave 5 stars for service because maybe it was an off day and like I said they didn't mess our order up and were quick.“

“Tuesdays are $1.50 coney island hotdogs. I ordered but the toppings of chilli mustard diced onion was REALLY what I paid for. Today I spoke to one of the delightful (and Gorgeous!) waitresses and told her I hoped to have EXTRA not OVER the top onions and mustard and what I got were THE BEST CONEYS!!! I paid a small UPCHARGE but boy was it worth every penny! Way to go Antonio's Coney Island STILL with the best Coney AROUND“

“Beautiful setting with amazing views of the Detroit River and the Canadian skyline. Courtney was my server and she was excellent. Paced the meal and drinks perfectly and left me with plenty of uninterrupted time to enjoy my book and the view. Highly recommended if you are staying at the hotel or even live in the area.“

“Only downside to this coney is how long the drive thru takes sometimes. But that means they're busy, which also means other people had the same idea as you at 3am like "dang, you know what would hit right now? Joe's coney."

Just make sure your whole order is there before you dip. I didn't get fries with my burger combo the first time, second time i drove off without my drink, and had also left my card in the drive thru. Guess i could ease off the pen.“

“Great spot near the people mover. The staff was 6 stars but I could only choose 5. We took a dip in the salt water hot tub down in the grotto and enjoyed some tasty craft cocktails from the library. Super cool historical spot with great rooms and amenities. This was our 1st stay but not our last.“

Then we moved to the dinning area where Keri was our waitress. Her suggestions for wine and dinner were spot on!! She was fun and very attentive to our entire party. Today, I found myself too lazy to cook for myself again and again I put my trust into passport pizza. I was not disappointed. This time I tried the bone in wings. Boy oh boy, when I tell you they were the best carry out wings I have ever had.. I mean it..I was unsure about the mango habanero sauce so it was suggested when I ordered that I get them with the sauce on the side. Well, I ate all of the wings and I still don’t know what the sauce tastes like. They were so good it never even crossed my mind to cover them with anything.. So, if anyone is new to the area (or not) and is unsure of where to order food from.. skip the big pizza chains you’ve been eating and try Passport Pizza in Roseville on 10 mile n Gratiot. You’ll be happy you did.“

“From the moment we walked in the door, we were greeted warmly, and this set the vibe for the rest of the night. Friendly service, excellent food, nice selection of wines... And did I mention the food? Yes, the food is amazing. Our table ordered the shrimp and Grits, Fried Chicken, Crab Cakes, salads, and a side of their delicious Mac & Cheese. Everything was shared, and we all left deeply satisfied. We will be back!“
