“So happy I discovered you guys. You cannot beat the prices here. I got an egg sandwich (on really good bread too), fries, and a salad for 12 dollars!“

“Ordered late lunch yesterday. Friend got the smothered chicken dinner w/cole slaw side, also ordered a patty melt w/broasted potatoes, and a chili dog. Not sure why we haven't ordered before, because EVERYTHING was simply deliciouso!!!!

Firstly, dinner came w/green beans and she hates them - but they were the 1st thing she gobbled down - nice and fresh! And, the smothered chicken was enuf for 2 days, it was a huge portion and 'smothered' very well.

The broasted potatoes were a pleasant surprise - didn't know they'd be huge wedges, and perfectly cooked (even gave us sour cream for them)!!

The patty melt was typical and was good, cooked as ordered.

Only issue we had was that the chili on the chili dog has seeped out of its packaging and was all over the inside of bag and other containers. And, the containers should have vent holes opened, otherwise bread/potatoes/etc get soggy.“

“The restaurant is a little smaller with a more intimate feel. We sat at a small high top table next to the bar and we couldn’t have asked for better service. Throughout the night, at least 6 different servers took care of us (sitting next to the bar, we were taken care of by the bartenders.) The food and drinks were amazing and the service was top notch. My boyfriend had the peach cocktail and then an old fashion with honey cinnamon syrup and I had the mule which all of the drinks were absolutely delicious. We both had the Steak frites which was cooked to perfection and the fries I just couldn’t get enough of. For dessert, we took home the banana pie dessert and the Dubai chocolate cheesecake special and let me just say, oh my goodness. Neither of us knew which one we liked better. Everyone was super attentive, professional, and welcoming, but Raegan really stood out. “My husband and I went for our anniversary. The atmosphere is amazing. It is right on the water and they have huge windows for a great view. It was very quiet, but it was only a couple days after Thanksgiving. Maybe everyone was still enjoying their leftovers. The food was excellent. We tried the steak and cheese egg rolls for the appetizer, the fish and chips and chicken marsala for the main courses, and a non- alcohol berry drink. All of it was fantastic. I brought home cheesecake for dessert. It was good, but a small piece. Everything was reasonably priced and the server, Jasmine was exceptional. She checked on us quite often and was very kind. We will definitely be going back.It looked like they had live music there, but not this night. Maybe next time!“

“Went there 30 minutes before closing looking for drinks and some apps and it did not disappoint! I had the winter special old fashioned and it was wonderful! The food we ordered was also excellent, however, our bartender made the experience truly great! Rob was such an engaging and entertaining bartender. We had such fun conversations with him and he kept the bar open for us after closing time! If he’s there, we’re definitely headed back.“

“I got their breakfast burrito & personally that’s one of the best I’ve had anywhere! The salsa they serve on the side is delightful & the server I had I believe her name was Katie, she made my husband & I feel very welcome as it was our first time & we weren’t sure what to get, she didn’t rush us into anything & even recommended a few items that she likes, the breakfast burrito being one of them which I can’t thank her enough for. I also love the look of the place the windows make it feel so open & when the suns out it’s a very pretty little cafe aesthetic to dine at. “Grand Trunk Pub is a classic spot in downtown Detroit with a lot of character. The building itself is historic, and the high ceilings and old architecture give the place a really cool, vintage vibe. It feels like a mix of a traditional pub and a local Detroit hangout.

The food is solid pub-style comfort food. I tried the Reuben sandwich and it was flavorful and satisfying, especially with one of their Michigan craft beers. They have a great selection of local brews, which makes the experience even better.

Service was friendly and relaxed, and the atmosphere was lively without being too loud. Overall, Grand Trunk Pub is a great place to grab a drink and a hearty meal if you’re exploring downtown Detroit.“

“From out of town tried October 2025, had four different flavors for 20 bucks on traditional wings tried three. Cajun rub was decent not quite as spicy as Wingstop, but still recommended. Creole Parmesan was the second flavor this I did not care for. The last flavor was garlic Parmesan, which was very good just a bit over the top rich. The size of the wings were impressive, chose takeout 15 minute drive back to hotel, still crispy. Highly recommended.“

“We went for dinner on a weeknight it wasn't super busy. Our food was all very good. The mashed potatoes were very smooth and buttery. The fried walleye came out hot and flaky as did the country fried steak. Soup was good and we grabbed dessert to take home and enjoy later since we were to full to eat it there. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Overall a great experience and we will be back.“
