“Stopped here before a concert at LCA last night - obviously busy, but wait wasn’t bad at all and we were able to get a drink at the bar and wait outside. I wish I could remember our servers name, but she was absolutely stellar! She was super friendly, funny and quick despite having a large section on a busy night. Got the shrimp tacos (AMAZING and filling - has a perfect amount of “kick”) and my husband got the hot chicken sandwich (the one small bite I was allowed was phenomenal) overall 10/10 experience!“

“The best burger (Smashburger) and french fries that I’ve ever had in one combination. Fantastic service, very reasonable prices and really nice atmosphere. But again the best Smashburger and french fries ever and I’m 64 years old so come down and enjoy.“

“I go here every Monday for open mic night. It is one of my favorite places to perform because of the fun atmosphere, the fantastic food, and the friendly folks who frequent it.“

“Originally from Michigan but now live in Florida. Went to Detroit for the weekend to attend Red Wings games. Looked for perch dinners and found Andrew’s. Absolutely awesome perch with a generous portion. Loved the atmosphere of the old time era. Staff exceptionally friendly as was the owner. Would definitely recommend this place and can’t wait to return. What I liked was the minimal breading so you have the true taste of perch. This is by far the place to go if you love perch.“

“Great place! As visitors to Detroit, we were welcomed and treated as if we were regulars that came in every day. A nice, straight forward place with good prices and new friends on both sides of the bar. Be careful of the Lot Lizard shots, though. ;)“

“Food is good. Don't get a pop though. They charged $5 for a full glass of ice with a splash of Coke. Will never order a pop from there again. She never came to ask about refill either. Ridiculous!“

“Mix depends entirely on the crowd that night! Sometimes its dope. Sometimes not so much. The bartenders are always on point though.
Its great in the Summer when they have the outside tent area for more room. It can get a little tight when its just the regular inside area open.
Its definitely worth checking out with your crew though. Id you bring a party there it will be great!“

“I went one time. Super chill bar, very friendly bartender who treated me like a regular. I went on a Sunday afternoon weekend at like 4 pm so there weren't too many people there, but those who were displayed an extreme of characters. The smoking area in the back had a lot of tables and easy access.“

“My girlfriend and meself stopped in randomly after the Eastern Market and had one of the best meals and experience we’ve had while visiting Detroit. The Tokyo muscles were the best muscles I’ve ever had. We had a classic Bloody Mary and their hot sauce really brought some heat! We got the Carmel cookie coffee as well and that was swell as well. The environment and staff especially made the experience even better. We had Rhonda as a server and she was very pleasant and helped give us recommendations that turned out to be very tasty. Overall we were glad we chose to eat at Vivio’s and will definitely be back next time we wander to Detroit.“

“Where do I even begin? The second we walked in the door, everyone was so wonderful! We took our twins out to celebrate their second birthday! Our waiter Nicholas was so kind and patient! He made sure our babies food was put in quickly and came out hot and fresh. (They were getting hangry. haha) Nicholas gave us some recommendations and they did not disappoint! 👏🏽 Everything we got was fresh, hot, and delicious, from the appetizer, to our meals, to the twins' meals. Even my mocktail was spot on! Their manager, Amanda, was who delivered our food. She was so sweet and cheerful!! She came back over later on to check on us and wish our babies a happy birthday! The entire restaurant was clean and well maintained. You can truly tell the staff enjoy their jobs. Nicholas and Amanda made sure we had a great first experience. My hubby and I have decided to come back, minus babies, and have a date night so we can further enjoy the extensive, and yummy looking, menu. 10/10 highly recommend.“

“We hosted my toddlers birthday party here last month. We had an excellent experience. The food was ready right on time and delicious. We had multiple servers who were so attentive and kind. I don’t think anyone had an empty glass at any point. It was a Saturday evening with a packed bar and we couldn’t even tell in the side room. We will absolutely host another event there in the future!“

“The most classic sports bar a sports bar can get. Some of the best pizza in town, some of the best wings in town, in the atmosphere is a classic sports bar. They even got the Jumbotron as a queer guy who likes sports And good food, This place is awesome.“

“My party of 2 got there at shift change for an early dinner and were seated right away.

Our server Allison was a bit hands-off after we got our appetizer and ordered our burgers but she was very friendly. Just had to flag her down to ask for a refill on my water.

Food was delicious as I’ve found in my previous HopCat experiences. Didn’t even have time to take a picture of our pretzel bite appetizer because it was eaten up so quickly (mostly by me, no shame here). By far the best pretzel bites I’ve had since I can remember.

I got the hangover helper burger which I had at another HopCat in Ann Arbor, MI and it remains my favorite. Definitely would recommend, especially for those who haven’t had egg on their burger before.“

“What a fun night out. The Corner took over the old Local Kitchen & Bar building on Nine Mile back in December 2017, and the same owners turned it into a grill, bar and game room with more than a thousand board games, plus Detroit Axe upstairs with its own throwing lanes. We grabbed food and drinks downstairs, played around with the games (yes, there was an Etch A Sketch on the table), then headed up to throw axes. The lanes are well kept, the staff keeps everything safe and easy for first-timers, and the whole place has a relaxed, friendly neighborhood feel. Perfect for a date night or a group of friends in downtown Ferndale. Can't wait to go back.“

“Patti the cook! OMG! Saturday night, all by herself, no help what so ever! Our waitress said she COULD be behind because she’s on her own so our may take a little longer, we said no problem. That was not the case , we had our food in like 10 minutes! I sat at the bar and watched her do the job of about 3-4 people the rest of the night! She’s amazing! This woman deserves a raise for sure !“
