“Tried this place for the first time today! Rider was my server and he was absolutely amazing. Knowledgeable funny and sweet. Genuinely had such a good time just being in his presence and he was very attentive! Tried the flaming fig, although without the jam. Didn't personally find it too spicy without the jam, although my friend found it slightly spicy with the jam. Either way it was the most delicious grilled cheese ever. Great wine selection, and don't be afraid to try the espresso drink made with blood orange soda, it was very good! On the store side of things, there was a great selection of product and the service was great. Will definitely tell as many people as possible about this place and will come again!“

“Great night out. The food was terrific especially the salmon kabob and the white bean and arugula.
Excellent wine selection and the sommelier made the perfect recommendation for us.
For an open space restaurant it was well suited for a “quiet” meal and easy conversations.
The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and well timed attentive.“

“Update: New owners, but the same wonderful hospitality. It was a pleasure to meet Sam and Taylor at the latest Pick Up Party; they have great plans for MBTB! MBTB always makes us feel welcome. We're Sipper Club members and it's worth joining - special pricing, special events and early notification of our favorite wines from wineries throughout Michigan. Snacks are available to purchase, but we sometimes take our own meat, cheese and fruit tray with us to enjoy there with our wine. It's a great place to meet up with friends too.“
“Really delicious. The menu is limited, which I think is a good idea as it allows the chef to add and remove items. The Suppli de Teli risotto balls are not your typical Arancini floating in tomato sauce. Your first bite is a mouthful of flavor with a slightly vinegary, black pepper, delicately cheesey and risotto flavor. Don't miss the cheese smear under the Suppli. It adds a light sweetness to the peppery bites. Truly an excellent appetizer. We also had the Polpette appetizer with a deep meaty flavor in the meatball and a delicious tomato ragu reminiscent of Sunday gravy in it's depth of flavor. They offer a meatball sandwich with these meatballs; we will be trying that! For our meals we had Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and the Cocoletta (veal chop). The Alfredo sauce is made in the Italian style. Rather than cream, it is made with cheese and pasta water. Really delicious. The pasta was perfectly al dente with a great chew and topped with black truffle ?. The veal chop was cooked to your preference and huge! Mine was med rare and was seasoned perfectly. I never even looked for salt or pepper. Delicious! The baby potatoes were crispy and perfectly seasoned and the asparagus was baby finger sized and grilled well. We were too full for dessert. The wine offering is small, but well curated. We had no alcohol this time. Highly recommended!
Vegetarian options: The usual offerings: salad, margarita pizza, a pasta dish. Minimal, but you can find something to eat.
Dietary restrictions: They offer gluten free pasta. I didn't check to see if the pizza had gluten free options.
Parking: Parking on both sides of the building and on the street in front.“

“Attened a private wedding reception on Thursday night. It was absolutely an ideal place with ambiance, classy servers and the food was awesome. It was served with wine paring. We also enjoyed dancing into the late night. Perfect! K.Adam Events coordinated the event with Bar Pigalle and it could not have been more enjoyable. Highly recommendable.“

“Wow. What an absolutely fantastic final dinner of 2023! After we managed to find a late dinner reservation for New Year's Eve, it was a relief to discover that our excitement about the tasting menu was well-placed. I would definitely recommend the drink pairings as well! The amuse-bouche featuring oysters from the West and East coasts was a delightful way to splash into the meal. The wasabi and the mangosteen featured in each of the oysters, respectively, complimented the beautiful brine of the oysters in such a wonderfully playful way. This first tasting urged us to pause the menu progression and order an extra dozen oysters to explore the other possibilities. Tasting from Vancouver to Prince Edward Island, they were beautifully prepared and of excellent quality. The first course of lobster salad felt like a summer in Maine. Not that I've ever been to Maine, but the imaginary scene flashed across my vision as I took that first refreshing bite. The grapefruit emulsion worked almost majestically with the light, refreshing flavor of the lobster salad. The tapioca chip was perfect for the crunch to fully bring the different elements of the dish together. A fascinating intersection of refreshment and comfort. The second course was the potato pavé. I'll be thinking of this potato often for the foreseeable future. It was one of those dishes that makes your eyes pop open a bit when you bite it as you realize how good it is. A beautifully layered and seared rectangle of flaky delicious potato resting with a lovely salsa brava speckled with trout roe, topped with tarragon, cured trout, and black truffle flakes. I don't even know what else to say. It was stunning. Sea urchin buttered ramen, the third course, will always be what I wish my at-home thrown-together ramen could be. It was rich, it was luscious, it was comforting. Growing up in southeast Texas, crawfish boils were always some of the most exciting times of the year. The crawfish tails in the ramen brought me back to those summer days eating crawfish with a cold beer. The duck breast for the fourth course was exceptionally cooked. It was juicy and flavorful and made a perfect bite with a bit of cauliflower, raisins, apricot, agrodolce, and foie-sauce. Each bite was such a symphony of flavor that kept me coming back. Last but absolutely not least was the gâteau ardéchois: the chestnut cream cake. Accompanied by cranberry coulis and crispy meringue bites, this dessert was a sweet but still mellow finish. While the coffee mascarpone ice cream was a robust and complementary flavor, we both agreed the vanilla coconut ice cream was the star between the two. Thank you again to the stellar crew at Mink! “A very well curated selection of wines. I don't always come for the entertainment (unless it's Miguel Migs), but to purchase wine and every single time it's been superb. For example, MCW had Georgian wine, very few people know how good it is. I can't recall how much I spent, but the flavor was brilliant. I prefer MCW for wine by a parsec rather than a grocery store.“

“It was wonderful birthday dinner from start to finish! We definitely felt like royalty! Candice gave us the warmest greeting. Chi not only gave us a dining experience but added some fantastic surprises. I even got a chance to see Stefanie & get some of her warn sunshine. Tha food was phenomenal! “Went here for our 11th anniversary. Was recommended here many times. We had the tableside tomahawk for 2. Sliced by the tableside by the manager and plated as well tableside. When i tell you, this steak was absolutely PHENOMENAL! Seared to perfection, excellently cooked, and very conservatively seasoned to bring out of every flavor of the steak. The house salad and dressing is unlike any around, leaving you wanting more. Our waiter (Joe) i believe was absolutely stunning. He caters like no other, but also lets you enjoy your meal, without interupting and still servicing. If i could rate higher, i absolutely would. I will DEFINITELY be back here. Well done The Brewery.“

“My only complaint was that we had to wait an hour to get our food. We had five young children in our group including a 2 year old and a 4 year old so things got pretty out of control at our table while waiting. I've been to Seasons 52 many times and have never waited anywhere close to this long so hopefully just a one time event. I love this restaurant!“

“Yes, but - the order and pay by phone ruins the overall experience of Mudgies. Can’t ask an app about the menu. Spent 10 minutes looking on the interface to order an ice tea. Figured it was my lack of finding the menu. Had to flag someone down to learn they were out of ice tea. All those things a server would tell you. But alas you don’t get. So good food, crappy experience! Lower your expectations, taking on the McDonald’s approach, sad really. Oh and if you want an item on the side they charge extra for that?! And with this order system no one asked me how my lunch was- or if I needed anything. So my sandwich was cold and sat awhile before it was quickly dropped at my table. I am so bummed - loved this place. The good news is there are now a ton of amazing options for lunch in Corktown. I recommend tipping much less because you are really on your own.“

“I visited this past Valentine’s Day weekend and visited again this past Saturday night. I didn’t have a reservation but still got seated very quickly. It was a hot, muggy night and the hostess said she had a seat on the patio which I was fine with. I had a magnificent server, Florence, who was kind, thoughtful to recommend a drink to the person I was with and even when our drinks were brought out within a short time, apologized for the delay (which wasn’t necessary). I wish I could give a review on the party next to us because they were extremely rude, not only not giving consideration to others being on the patio but were also incredibly rude to Florence. One woman in particular was grandstanding in front of this group and demanded to speak to a manager. Florence and the Manager were both composed and dignified in spite of a rude patron that was looking to get her bill comped (for a party of nearly a dozen people) going so far as to threatening to have everyone at her table write a terrible review. I have worked in the service industry and so have so many people I know and love so this situation had me worked up and I felt it necessary to write a review that our experience was magnificent. Don’t be an a-hole to servers of any kind just because you’re an a-hole yourself. If you give respect, you get respect. Go to The Sugar House. Be a good customer.“

“We had a really great first experience at Beppé. My husband and I stopped in on a weeknight for a light dinner. We shared the croquettes, the beet salad and the rabbit pasta. Wow! Really tasty food, the standout was the beet salad on olive oil whipped feta. Really beautiful, thoughtful dishes using high quality ingredients. Wait staff was friendly and attentive but not intrusive. We sat on the patio and had a really lovely all around experience. Will definitely recommend to friends.“

“My server informed me at the very end of my meal that the restaurant has lied to customers for over a year about having gluten free carrot cake and they have just been feeding people with intolerances gluten containing cake. So disrespectful. I got glutened after I spent $200 on my meal and was assured I had chosen gluten free dishes and precautions were being taken. Like look, I get it. Food allergies are a pain in the *ss but if you can't accommodate people with them don't lie to your customers. There are lots of other places in the metro area who do take allergies and medical conditions seriously. Way to ruin my birthday. Im going to be sick for a whole week because I have Celiac Disease. Thanks a ton.“

“Had an amazing evening!! We went with 2 other couples . It started out with Eve in the bar, she was so knowledgeable and made us the most amazing cocktails. Then we moved to the dinning area where Keri was our waitress. Her suggestions for wine and dinner were spot on!! She was fun and very attentive to our entire party. Dinner was 5 stars all around , as many of us are foodies. After dinner we followed up with Valerie who gave us a lovely tour of this beautiful Detroit Club!! All in all it was an incredible experience with our friends!! We will definitely be back!! Thank you to the entire staff who made our visit so charming and memorable!!“

“Went to FrameBar yesterday for the BirriaBar pop-up with chef Eddie Vargas. Food was excellent and a great value for the amount of food at the price point. I loved that the chef was making the rounds in the dining room to ensure every customer was satisfied. The birria platter and quesabirria were both great, as well as the salsas, queso, and aguacates. Lastly, the bar had good Mexican-inspired drink options, with the smoked Oaxacan old fashioned being my favorite for both taste and presentation. Great work all around.“
