“Enjoyed a dinner at Ladder 4 Wine Bar with a group of 5. The interior is modern, bright, and airy. It was a great setting for a cozy dinner with friends. We enjoyed the meal family style and were impressed by the portions. Very generous and shareable we were all able to have a good bit of each dish.
We had one vegetarian and one shellfish allergy in the group. Our server was helpful in guiding us on menu selections and making adjustments to suit the needs of our group.
I recommend the splurging on the steak and frites! Decedent and perfectly cooked. All of the salads were phenomenal and the bread and butter - simple as it may be was perfection. I would have happily enjoyed half a loaf to myself.
Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie options from starters to mains. The main on our menu was a chard red cabbage, it was rich and smoky and totally satisfying for veg and non veg guests.
Dietary restrictions: My friend with a fish & shellfish allergy was provided a menu hilighting what would be suitable for her. Since she is not highly reactive when our table ordered a dish smoked trout another simple dip sans fish was provided on the side so all could enjoy.“

“Our second visit to Bar Pigalle was outstanding. Our baked oysters appetizer was excellent. We considered ordering another! The seared mackerel and the duck confit were our entree choices and the were both excellent. Cocktails were fantastic. Both our selections were complex and delicious. We're looking forward to returning for the winter menu.“

“Wow. What an absolutely fantastic final dinner of 2023! After we managed to find a late dinner reservation for New Year's Eve, it was a relief to discover that our excitement about the tasting menu was well-placed. I would definitely recommend the drink pairings as well! The amuse-bouche featuring oysters from the West and East coasts was a delightful way to splash into the meal. The wasabi and the mangosteen featured in each of the oysters, respectively, complimented the beautiful brine of the oysters in such a wonderfully playful way. This first tasting urged us to pause the menu progression and order an extra dozen oysters to explore the other possibilities. Tasting from Vancouver to Prince Edward Island, they were beautifully prepared and of excellent quality. The first course of lobster salad felt like a summer in Maine. Not that I've ever been to Maine, but the imaginary scene flashed across my vision as I took that first refreshing bite. The grapefruit emulsion worked almost majestically with the light, refreshing flavor of the lobster salad. The tapioca chip was perfect for the crunch to fully bring the different elements of the dish together. A fascinating intersection of refreshment and comfort. The second course was the potato pavé. I'll be thinking of this potato often for the foreseeable future. It was one of those dishes that makes your eyes pop open a bit when you bite it as you realize how good it is. A beautifully layered and seared rectangle of flaky delicious potato resting with a lovely salsa brava speckled with trout roe, topped with tarragon, cured trout, and black truffle flakes. I don't even know what else to say. It was stunning. Sea urchin buttered ramen, the third course, will always be what I wish my at-home thrown-together ramen could be. It was rich, it was luscious, it was comforting. Growing up in southeast Texas, crawfish boils were always some of the most exciting times of the year. The crawfish tails in the ramen brought me back to those summer days eating crawfish with a cold beer. The duck breast for the fourth course was exceptionally cooked. It was juicy and flavorful and made a perfect bite with a bit of cauliflower, raisins, apricot, agrodolce, and foie-sauce. Each bite was such a symphony of flavor that kept me coming back. Last but absolutely not least was the gâteau ardéchois: the chestnut cream cake. Accompanied by cranberry coulis and crispy meringue bites, this dessert was a sweet but still mellow finish. While the coffee mascarpone ice cream was a robust and complementary flavor, we both agreed the vanilla coconut ice cream was the star between the two. Thank you again to the stellar crew at Mink! Happy New Year!“

“Stopped in after a Tigers game for a drink. Cozy atmosphere with library inspired storage for wine and spirits. Definitely recommend for a glass of wine or cocktail.
Recommended by @j_r0ze. Large Rose' selection with local wines featured. Had a delicious Lemoncello Spritz.“
“DTW - Detroit Airport - Great place to hang out before boarding. Wine, food, snacks and all other kinds of beverages. An oasis of sorts in one of the lesser traveled concourses at DTW, (Concourse C). Prices are not out of line for wine and food. Also worth noting is that the bartender is far from "awful" (as previously reported). The one that was working when we were there was exceptionally pleasant and working the entire front end all by herself.“
“Went to La Feria yesterday for some wine and Spanish Tapas. I was more than impressed with both! The Tapas were amazing - AMAZING. I don't even know where to start with how amazing the food was, but here goes. First thing I noticed is the freshness - the food was piping hot, and I could tell it came directly off the grill/griddle/stove to the table as it was being prepared. PIPING HOT - and not that fake, uneven microwave hot, either. Second, QUALITY. Everything was quality in terms of the ingredients. We ate about $80 worth of Tapas - the grilled calamari, the sardines, the chicken skewers, the mixed olives, the patatas bravas, the bacon wrapped dates, and some cabernet sauvignon. The quality of the food was impeccable. Just outstanding. The grilled calamari was the best calamari I've EVER eaten in life - you must try it grilled. Third - ATTENTIVE SERVICE and CLEAN bathrooms. It was just an amazing experience and I have nothing but praise for La Ferria. This was my second time to Spanish-style tapas (previously ate at Aventura in Ann Arbor). La Feria cannot be beaten!“

“Motor City Wine has become my new favorite spot for outdoor live jazz. They serve a variety of wines as well as non-alcoholic drinks. The staff is always courteous and friendly. They have a lovely patio at the back with plenty of seats where you can enjoy the music. The musicians are very talented and perform a wide range of jazz genres. Free parking adjacent to the building is a big plus.“

“STELLAR SERVICE I haven’t had the opportunity to dine at Table No.2. However, I would like to speak to the level of professionalism, integrity, impressive disposition, and good taste the owner, Omar , exudes. I attended an event held at one of his other restaurants last night in Royal Oak where I had the opportunity to observe his attention to detail and his interactions with guests. To say he is accommodating and pleasant is a vast understatement. He is the epitome of what doing “Good Business”entails--something to be truly appreciated and admired! Thank you, Omar, for facilitating an awesome experience! 5 STARS!“

“I didn’t get my tenders name but he was amazing my first drink was the French 75 and my partner had the champ ( pic not posted) he enjoyed his drink as well.
Being as my 1st drink was gin I asked for my second drink to be gin based with mint and whatever he decided it to be.
The craft that he showed I was mesmerized by it watching him place certain ingredients asking me is this okay and what I don’t like I told him im open to trying new things. Definitely recommend everyone to come here!!
To the tender I’m sorry I didn’t get your name but I never forget a face I will be back!!“
