“I went here because my coworker told me about their Wednesday special for 1lb of Jumbo shrimp for $15. He told me I would not be disappointed in the size and taste of them. He was spot on, too. He shrimp were absolutely delicious and the price of them were great to match.“

Yo, lemme tell you about this spot, manhattan fish and chicken on Woodward and Davison I hit them up last night, craving some serious Chicken wings. I ordered online, which was smooth, and my stuff was ready exactly when they said it would be. The guy at the counter was chill, even though they were slammed.

I grabbed a 3-piece chicken and some fish The chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside – not dry at all, which is a major win. And the fish? Flaky, perfectly fried. Not soggy, not too greasy, just right.

Honestly, this place is my new go-to. The food is fire, the service is quick and friendly, and it's exactly what you want when you're in the mood for some good ol' fried goodness. Five stars all the way!“

“I would've given 5 stars but that honey mustard sauce they use is awful. I don't know why they stopped using the krispy krunchy honey mustard. But the one they have looks homemade and watered down and taste worse. But the food is great!“

“Wow. What an absolutely fantastic final dinner of 2023! After we managed to find a late dinner reservation for New Year's Eve, it was a relief to discover that our excitement about the tasting menu was well-placed. I would definitely recommend the drink pairings as well! The amuse-bouche featuring oysters from the West and East coasts was a delightful way to splash into the meal. The wasabi and the mangosteen featured in each of the oysters, respectively, complimented the beautiful brine of the oysters in such a wonderfully playful way. This first tasting urged us to pause the menu progression and order an extra dozen oysters to explore the other possibilities. Tasting from Vancouver to Prince Edward Island, they were beautifully prepared and of excellent quality. The first course of lobster salad felt like a summer in Maine. Not that I've ever been to Maine, but the imaginary scene flashed across my vision as I took that first refreshing bite. The grapefruit emulsion worked almost majestically with the light, refreshing flavor of the lobster salad. The tapioca chip was perfect for the crunch to fully bring the different elements of the dish together. A fascinating intersection of refreshment and comfort. The second course was the potato pavé. I'll be thinking of this potato often for the foreseeable future. It was one of those dishes that makes your eyes pop open a bit when you bite it as you realize how good it is. A beautifully layered and seared rectangle of flaky delicious potato resting with a lovely salsa brava speckled with trout roe, topped with tarragon, cured trout, and black truffle flakes. I don't even know what else to say. It was stunning. Sea urchin buttered ramen, the third course, will always be what I wish my at-home thrown-together ramen could be. It was rich, it was luscious, it was comforting. Growing up in southeast Texas, crawfish boils were always some of the most exciting times of the year. The crawfish tails in the ramen brought me back to those summer days eating crawfish with a cold beer. The duck breast for the fourth course was exceptionally cooked. It was juicy and flavorful and made a perfect bite with a bit of cauliflower, raisins, apricot, agrodolce, and foie-sauce. Each bite was such a symphony of flavor that kept me coming back. Last but absolutely not least was the gâteau ardéchois: the chestnut cream cake. Accompanied by cranberry coulis and crispy meringue bites, this dessert was a sweet but still mellow finish. While the coffee mascarpone ice cream was a robust and complementary flavor, we both agreed the vanilla coconut ice cream was the star between the two. Thank you again to the stellar crew at Mink! “Im super critical as a red seal chef, but loved the service, small details to the cutlery and vibe. interior was nice too. The free garlic bread was yummy and plenty... then the 3 lobsters tails were fresh and juicy. My mom was full and very satisfied. alAnd the beef short ribs were soft, tender snd au jus, perfection. I do wosh for better side veg. It was a mixed veg but hidden under mushrooms. So looked like a stir fry. It worked well for my amazing beef. Only 2 dessert options, but the sticky toffee was yummy. I hope you guys continue and maybe more options, please! We want to come back!“

“Pretty good food and I enjoyed the atmosphere. Our server was a spectacular. Unfortunately the bar service was slow so our server had to apologize 2 or 3 times for not delivering our cocktails earlier. They took quite a while. My margarita was too tart for my liking but my hubby enjoyed his (some spin on an old fashioned)

It seems the menu selections are not really for your average Mexican cuisine diner. A bit pricey for no reason at all. I probably wouldn't come here again by choice but if someone else invited me, I'd return.

My husband got the half chicken and I got the steak, both were pretty good and came with veggies and house made corn tortillas which were great for making little tacos. Use the accompanying salsas on the menu, they boost the flavor of the entrees. Parking around this place is not the easiest.“

I really don't know or understand what's going on with the fish market these days, but the fish from other establishments I have frequented, are bad pieces of fish to sell to the market.

I won't name the establishment, but they serve fish for profits only. The quality of the fish is subpar at best .

Fred's has consistently served fresh flavorful fish, with choice pieces that were selected for satisfaction and to cure the hunger of their customers.

“New menu was amazing. We had the potatoes, the scallops, burrata, and mushroom with shiitake dish. Burrata was hands down my favorite, thing. Perfect combination!! Highly recommend everything I got and the service was perfect, I mean like I finished my water and by the time my glass hit the table it was refilled. This was actually my second time, I’ve been before for a friends birthday and we had a different menu…..the pomegranate ribs were mouthwatering delicious. Not to mention the atmosphere inside, I personally love plants and that’s the first thing you notice when you walk in the door. Check it out for yourself, you won’t be disappointed!!“

“Zukin's Rib Shack holds a special place in my heart. While I do genuinely think the food is some of the best around, . Growing up, my family got Zukin's all the time. My dad and I are pizza afficionados and would get pies from this place all the time. I remember having for my birthday, When my dad got sick, all he ever wanted to eat was a pepperoni and mushroom pizza from this place. Even as he lost his appetite and his hair fell out, even when he didn't feel like eating anything else, he'd eat his pizza and those brownies.

Unrelated, my grandma was a fan of the ribs and I agree with her opinion.

Next month, I'm taking a train across the country to start a new life in the New Mexican desert. Before I leave downriver, I have to grab me a pizza and maybe some ribs. And tbh with you, if you're thinking about grabbing food from here, you should. It's delicious, the prices are fair, and it's down to earth.“
