“Our favorite go to when we are in the area! Food and service is always the best. Menu offers many choices but you can never go wrong with the fish dishes. We have never had a bad meal here. We recently celebrated my daughters 40th birthday with a party of ten and going here was my pick. Everyone loved their food, Courtney was awesome! This restaurant is just the best all around!“

“The service was great and the environment was great. The burger is fabulous and the members of our party that got nachos and a thai beef dish really enjoyed their meals as well. We have come back several times since it is good food, a varied menu and you can find meals that range from very cost effective to more pricey options when you want to splurge.“

“I cannot say enough good about this place! I first ordered a few weeks ago and have ordered five or six times since because they are so awesome! Service is spectacular. Never a rude employee. Everyone is always friendly, and knowledgeable! The food is a match to the service! They had a buffalo chicken sandwich special that was quite possibly the best thing I've ever eaten before and everything I've ordered has been great! I have been placing orders for a group of people and we have not had any mistakes, it's ready on time and it's perfect! Even with our special orders! I am beyond impressed with Julienne Tomatoes! “Very nice experience for dinner. The restaurant has a unique feel with a step back in time. The chandeliers provided a very romantic setting along with some live music. The food was quite good and had a very nice presentation. Overall there were a couple of bumps in service but they were quite friendly and quick to set things right. They didn't know as much about the items on the menu that we hoped they would but were willing to check in with the kitchen to get the details we needed. We would be interested in coming back here in the future!“

“I am very excited this has reopened! I’d implore new management to stop playing a never-ending stream of local ads on the TV. I didn’t love seeing a slew of ads for hotels in Petoskey and golf courses for my whole meal. The TVs used to play the hunting channel, which was great.“

Not only were the daily specials highlighted for us in a detailed manner, but so too were the menu items. Her charm is an asset for The Bistro and was a nice way to have been welcomed. “Our family of 6 stopped by after a local recommendation on our way home from a skiing trip. The food across the board was delicious. My turkey sandwich on pretzel bun was literally the best turkey sandwich I've ever had. The service was quick and efficient, she kept our glasses full of water which i appreciate. We will come back on our next trip!“

“It took an hour and a half for our lunch experience. We ordered a crab cake appettizer which was very good but we did not recieve it till 40 minutes after we were seated. Another 20 minutes wait till we recieved our 2 half sandwiches, 2 bowls of chilli, a breakfast burrito and an order of biscuits and gravy. I will note that all the food was very good just the service was horrible. So after being there an hour and twenty minutes we were done and had to wait 10 minutes for our check. We ended up paying all in cash because we had no idea how much longer we had to wait to get our cards back. Our servers name was Nancy i believe.“
