“My grandson and I were there for lunch Friday 3/8.Our server was a young man with dark hair and glasses.Although he gave us his name I have forgotten it.Anyways,he was the best server I have ever had.He was very friendly and we felt very comfortable with him.He brought us our drinks and took our orders, even helping by recommending entres.Brought our dishes asked if we needed anything else.Refreshed our drinks after checking a while later to see if we needed anything else Very attentive. When we got ready to leave we requested a take home container. He came back and put the food in the containers for us.Wished us a good day and to be safe driving home. I must say.the Alfredo Fettuccine I had was fantastic and my grandson said his lobster, spinach and Alfredowas excellent. The appetizers were great. The whole experience was top notch.I wanted to make sure you knew what an excellent employee you have.Good worker and very personable young man. Excellent food.I would highly recommend this restaurant.Seemed family friendly also.Parking: Plenty of spaces and good amount of handicap parking which usually doesn't happen.Very nice.“
“I've always enjoyed eating here and the atmosphere is such a great place to see. This place is a piece of yesteryear and to see the same people come here and visit and socialize is great. The wait staff is always super attentive, just don't forget to bring cash LOL!“
“Lobster pasta was underwhelming for the cost and two pieces of lobster per entree that we received. I've had the dish before and there was significantly more lobster. We were seated fast, the hostess was awesome and so was out waiter! Appreciated the well wishes for the birthdays we were celebrating.“
“We were on vacation from the east side of the state to see the air museum. I was in the mood for a Coney Island breakfast but they do not open until 11:00 a.m.. the parking lot was full as were all the tables except for a couple. We got right then. The menu was pretty extensive. After two cups of coffee I made my mind up. I'm not real big on undercooked hash browns and there's we're browned but I have to admit they have the best hash browns in the freaking world. Our breakfast was awesome and I highly recommend this place.“
“For fast food, these guys serve a quality burger at a fair price, clean dinning room and friendly service. If you go through the drive-thru and they have to run the food out to your car, tip the kid a buck they really appreciate itKid-friendliness: The kids meal is a bargain, decent quantity of food with the frozen custard“
“Love this place! Great breakfast at very reasonable prices, good portions, consistent quality and quantity. Friendly efficient service. Best little restaurant in the area with home cooked food. Open 7 days a week, serving breakfast and lunch. And lunch is good, too.Parking: Parking lot can be rough. Take your time because the food is well with it! Bring your hungry!“
“The food here is phenomenal. Their waffle selection is insanely good. Their freshly milled oatmeal is also the best oatmeal I've ever had. The biggest drawback is the service. The service can be super hit and miss, so be prepared. The food is so good that the service struggles aren't a big deal. This restaurant is definitely worth checking out.“
“We stopped here from lunch on the way home from a weekend getaway at the shore. Stopped here purely because of the high ratings about this place. The food didn’t disappoint! We both ate burgers and curly fries, all made fresh daily as well as homemade buns. You choose your food in 4 steps: choice of meat, choice of bread, toppings, & any special toppings you may want to add. You also have your choice of sides and can make meals out of choices. Full bar available as well.My husband got the meal deal of 1/3lb burger, fries and a pint. Two of us ate for $30.Definitely adding this to our future stops.“
“We came for brunch fory birthday today, and ordered the Dutch baby and the Reuben Benedict. Honestly, this is one of the best meals we've ever eaten! We can't wait to come back and try everything else on the menuWheelchair accessibility: I think it might be difficult to manage this in their indoor space, especially during busy times, but they do have igloos right now (January) that might be more accommodating“
“Very fresh and flavorful. Had the chorizo bowl and burrito. They were out of chorizo so we substituted bacon. Very good breakfast. Not your usual greasy spoon. This is my kind of breakfast! Green onions, corn, bacon, eggs, avocado w an amazing cilantro sauce. The place smells from fresh baked goods and chocolate. Very open and inviting. Server was very friendly and efficient. We will be back when we are in the area again.“
“Very small indoor dining, BUT, amazing food and amazing people. Absolutely wonderful food and great customer service. Definitely worth Tetrising your way into a seat!Parking: Street parking and a decently sized gravel parking lot are normally available. Pretty short walking distance depending on what spaces are available.Wheelchair accessibility: Too small for a wheelchair, you could try but you'll have to bring a friend to spin you around. Austin Powers your chair out. Best to order it to-go.“
“Wonderful atmosphere, cool, simple, beautiful and chill all in one. Loved the original wood floors and brick inside. Staff was friendly and helpful without being pushy. Food and drinks speak for themselves in the photos! Will be back someday soon!“
“Stopped in today before work to try their new Italian beef sandwich and it almost brought me to tears. The meat was perfectly seasoned, juicy and tender. The bread held up beautifully even after being dipped in that succulent au jus. By far the best Italian beef in town, and I'm a portillos stan. So glad I don't have to drive an hour away for good Italian beef anymore, thank you Monty!!!! ???“
“Love this place! It has the best grinders in the county! And they're huge too so you get a lot for your money. There's tables to eat in and lots of people taking out food. Friendly staff and taste is great. They also have pizza but their grinders are my fav.“
“Best burger I've had. End of story. I lived in Chicago eating Small Cheval at every opportunity and didn't think I could find a burger its equal in the zoo, and I'm so glad to be wrong. No anemic smash burgers here. Special flavor combos, meaty patties, always juicy and well-made. Fast, friendly service. I always order the smokehouse and my husband always orders the kirby, both absolute winners. Try it.“
“I love worship music and they had amazing worship songs playing as I had lunch. This alone says that the young individuals working at 12:30 on Wednesday are the type of crew we need filling our customers service positions all around Mattawan and Kalamazoo.Great food also!“
“Felt like gatekeeping this great place! But we want them to flourish so... you HAVE to come and experience this fantastic joint! It was Restaurant Week here in Kalamazoo, and their menu looked good, so we decided why not? It's had a couple of other restaurants that somehow didn't make it in this location, but we were hopeful. I ordered a strawberririta, which is dangerously good. For the appetizer, we ordered RW's suggestion of the goat cheese flatbread. Very good! I ordered their salmon on the regular menu. That was SO NICE! Cooked perfectly and the potatoes were out of this world yummy! Husband had his heart set on a steak but their flame-stove was on the fritz so he got their Ruben sandwich. He loved it! The only thing he would've changed would've been some other side besides their fries. They were good, just too many fries. (Is there such a thing? Ha-ha!) To make our evening even MORE fun, they had Music Bingo going on! We played all four rounds but didn't win anything. That's ok, it was still a lot of fun! (They play this every Tuesday night with prizes!) Rounded off the night with their only dessert which was a chocolate torte with ice cream and strawberries. Our server was excellent and the MC for the Bingo was really fun. What a fun time we had and wonderful food! Great job, everyone!“
“We recently had the Park Club cater our donor event. The food was delivered on time, looked fresh, and was delicious! The staff who delivered were professional and laid everything out for us. Setting up the order and the follow up was easy. The Park Club continues to be a professional and great establishment to do business.“
“We brought in a large group of 16. We had made a reservation, which they confirmed, and set us up right by the playroom. It was winter so we can’t speak to outside but our kids had a blast. We could watch them play while we ate. The food was awesome. We had bloody Mary’s and they were fantastic. We will definitely be coming back regularly with the same group and other friends!“
“Food was good but a little bland. Build your own omelet was a bit pricey for eggs and cheese. No western omelet available. Good bacon. Wish the omelet came with American fries. A bit busy with a large group in the center of the restaurant, but it didn't effect the time of food.“
“Great pub and restaurant. Many good pubs don't have good food options; or they aren't really 'pub-like' if you get what I mean. Main Street Pub is a great pub AND a great restaurant. The food is great, the atmosphere is nice and the servers are very friendly. They also have cute towers in the corners with round tables.“
“Haven’t been there in a while but food was awesome!! Service wasn’t the best. Only saw her when she brought the food and brought our check…. Could have used a drink refill. We would definitely come back though. The seared tuna was the best!!!“
“Omg so we came here last year and it was great. I absolutely loved that we did not have to wait for an extended period of time. The decor was so cool. Very old school vintage soul to the place. The staff was super friendly and sweet. Definitely would like to come back next time we're in Kalamazoo. The food was super delicious we ordered so many different dishes, loved the biscuits and gravey as well as the cheese curds. Definitely highly recommend give these people all of your money it is well worth it!“
“I have been coming here my whole life. Every last day of elementary school our mom took us here to celebrate. Since then I have always gotten the same: one hot dog with just cheese, and one hot dog w/ everything on it (chili, mustard, onion), and a medium root beer. You drive up and park and order from your car. The girls are always quick to take your order and bring it out. I also love riding my bike over and sitting at the counter on a nice day. They are cash only, but there is an ATM. Be sure to tip your wait staff. And keep in mind that nothing here is very expensive, so 20% should be the absolute bare minimum.Enjoy your hot dog and root beer through the spring, summer, and fall. Closed throughout the winter.Parking: It is all parking. Rarely see it overflow.Wheelchair accessibility: 100% flat surface.“
“Very good food sandwiches, burgers, real fresh fried French fries, potatoe chips, cheese curds. very interesting building and layout of the bar. Wide selection of beers on tap, the prices of drinks fluctuate after 8pm. I googled the buildings history while waiting for dinner. It turns out the building used to be a Gibson Guitar factory and warehouse.“
“The beers were amazing. I had the cherry bomb burger and it was about one of the spiciest things I have even eaten but it was full of flavor as well. The poutine was not as good as we hoped. The environment and atmosphere were amazing. Kaylee was our server and she took great care of us. From out of town but like visiting the area so we will be back.“
“My wife and I were given a gift card to Bold. We went on Friday evening with reservations made the week prior. The martini's were amazing. My wife had the seafood trio and has not stopped talking about how much she enjoyed it. I had pork chops and they were so good. The staff was excellent, from the time I called for the reservation to the time we left, every employee was a pleasure to interact with. We will definitely be going back again soon.“
“The drink is just the start of this five star experience. Do yourself a favor and start with the pomegranate breeze then order nothing else until your meal to save room for every last bite of the bacon blue burger (pro tip - order the wagyu patty as a patty substitute). This drink and burger is the ultimate proof that simplistic and fresh ingredients are truly the way to your hearts desires. To enhance your experience, make sure you ask for Devon as your server“
“This place is such a little gem! If you haven't been here, GO! It was like a slice of my childhood. The service was amazing, the soda fountain hotdogs and chips were just right for lunch. The Mooville icecream was soo creamy and amazing. I cannot say enough about this place and the updates to the interior improved the place and THEY KEPT THE MURAL! I wi be back!Dietary restrictions: I am gluten free and they made me a hotdog salad and it was sooo good believe it or not!“
“My sisters and I meet here about 3-4 times a year. The service is always good as well as the food. A nice variety of items to choose from and they offer some gluten free items also. In the summer, it's nice to enjoy the patio and view of the lake. The best thing I've eaten there is the whitefish - delicious.“
“Went to D'Nicio's and it was very good! They have breakfast all day, which I really like. I had a great Pattie melt and a cheese burger (not in the same visit), and the big breakfast. All very good! They have an array of very fine ice creams, and the waitstaff is very kind and very good. It seemed a bit pricey to me, HOWEVER I sadly am notoriously cheap, so take that for what it's worth. But the food was excellent and I'd go back again. Highly recommend it!“
“A very under recognized eatery in Portage. Small but cozy, tucked away in the plaza across from Wedel’s Garden center. A wonderful aroma greets you as enter. Delicious sandwiches, homemade ingredients, hearty portions, friendly staff. Worth a trip over from anywhere in the Kzoo/Portage area. Give them a try.“
“Great spot for lunch downtown. The bonus is students are learning to cook and serve guests. Menu varies week by week with different regional cuisines. If you follow them on Facebook they post the daily menu too. There's a hot food line, salad bar, to-go food and drinks, cookies and muffins, and produce from the Food Innovation Center.“
“I found Michelle’s close to where I was spending a working vacation. Liked it so much I went back 3 mornings in a row. The coffee was really good. I can’t say enough about the eggs! I am fussy about my breakfast and usually order 2 eggs over medium (whites cooked), soft bacon, light hash browns, grain toast. They got it right every time! Believe me, that’s rare. I also had a pancake stuffed with blueberries, almonds and walnuts that was so amazing. Prices are in line with the norm. Marsha is the best server!! 5 stars all the way!!Parking: Plenty of space.“
“I love this place, I used to eat here more often with my grandparents and recently ate here again and I will say it lives up to my memories, I highly recommend buttermilk pancakes it what I always get here, it comes with cinnamon butter (the best kind) and syrup, personally I think that the small stack is enough for someone who doesn't eat a huge amount but you can still stomach the large stack. oh yeah you can also get bacon or sausage with it, and at least with the bacon it was cooked really well.“
“New in town and met friends for drinks and appetizers. This was a gem! Great service- the staff was all very attentive from the moment we walked in; and happy hour on a Saturday?! Yes, please and thank you! Drinks were never empty and food was delicious! I recommend the mai tai, Mussels and polenta fries!“
“They have great service and are excellent at getting orders correct. They are quite fast for how much traffic they do get and you can tell that they are putting in effort. The Curds are one of my favorite foods period and the burgers are good. They've done really well this past year getting accuracy and quality up.“
“Food was great, drinks were delicious, overall great experience. Will be back. We had the calamari and banana peppers, their tartar sauce really complimented the appetizer well. We also did the French onion dip with chips, loved it especially their house chips. I did the pizza pot pie (Copycat) and the wife did the Mac n cheese with bacon and caramelized onions. I very much enjoyed the pizza, the pizza sauce is a little sweeter but worked great. The bacon in the mac was definitely the main flavor, even if there wasn't bacon on the fork. Wife wished the caramelized onions were cut bigger or there were more of em...but she still liked it. I had the new fashion drink and one of the boozy hot chocolates, both were a great choice. I definitely recommend this place.“
“Had a superb first meal at Cafe 36 this weekend. Had heard of it, but never been. It was eVerything we hoped for. Food was superb: from our appetizer (roasted cauliflower in a chili pepper sauce), to the entrees: beef stroganoff for my companion, (a creamy, delicious take on an old favorite comfort food), and the whitefish special for me (superbly cooked, tender, with a crispy sear, on a bed of corn and mushroom; a bright dish, with a hint of lemon in the sauce; really, really good.) Cocktails were very good, and the desserts were perfect. Really nice meal, and delighted by the intimate restaurant. In short, an impressive meal all around: our first visit, but it won't be the last.“
“Food is really good and the bar itself is comfortable and fun. You could bring and a date here for sure. Every time I have been the beers I want on tap they are out of. That's the only fault of the Tap House.Vegetarian options: There are a few vegetarian and vegan options. Since the menu rotates from time to time it's best to look at their menu online before going.“
“My wife and I had the most amazing shrimp Poboy from Cookies today! I can't even begin to describe how good it was - definitely one of the best I've ever had. The seasoning was absolutely perfect, adding just the right amount of flavor. And let me tell you, the shrimp were top-notch, so fresh and tasty. And the bread - it was simply excellent. I can go back again and indulge in another mouthwatering Poboy from Cookies.“
“Really great food. The service was good. We loved the atmosphere, it's very traditional old school. The majority of the client is the older crowd and it's kept really warm in there. I'm not sure they have AC, but if so it wasn't on. We met friends from out of town for brunch and loved how comfortable it was for talking other than the hear. Just too warm. We'll definitely go back, we'll just eat and go somewhere else to visit for a few hours.“
