“This place is magical. My husband and I stayed here 9 years ago and again this last weekend. And it was just as perfect. David, the innkeeper, is amazing! He really makes sure you feel special. The chef that prepared breakfast served a beautiful eggs benedict. Not to mention the lovely brunch with Santa event that we were lucky to attend, the food was awesome. Oh, and the wine is outstanding.”

“Fischer's locally known simply as "Happy Hour" is an absolute gem. Family owned it has an old townie feel to it, nothing fancy but everything works. The service is top notch, and extremely friendly. “We stopped in after getting our Christmas tree from Kolariks Christmas tree farm just before noon on a Saturday. Rookie parent move, we had promised our 2.5yr old a sprinkled donut however when we arrived the case had been wiped out by the busy morning rush. The sweet lady working overheard us talking and offered to make our son a fresh sprinkled donut. Her kindness and delicious donut made his day! Also highly recommend the pumpkin cream cheese muffin and lemon poppyseed muffin! Thank you Chimoski Bakery!”

“We are visiting from Fremont MI to a relative in Suttons Bay. He recommended this cafe; it is a great breakfast place. Outstanding food, great staff. Everyone is friendly. The owner came over this morning and talked to us for a while. Super place to go. Went back and had a burger this evening. WED-FRI 4pm - 8pm - evening burgers. Everything we have had is GREAT!!!!! “Truly a special meal. This was BETTER than the photos. Every single thing we ate (baked mozzarella, parfait, salmon Benedict, apple pancake) was so incredibly delicious. Honestly the best meal of the trip. Service was also wonderful. So glad we made the trip out here.”

“Green Bird is a little slice of Heaven! They even practice sustainable farming via their “flerd“ (flock of chickens and herd of sheep) who rotate through each row of vines. “Stopped in for a Sunday breakfast while vacationing in northern Michigan at this downtown Sutton's Bay eatery. There was comfortable seating inside and out on the patio. The ambiance was warm, with touches of humor incorporated in the decor (note the framed picture over the fireplace when you visit). We dined in the very relaxing atmosphere filled with quiet recorded jazz and happy patrons' conversations. The service was friendly and excellent. Our breakfasts were delicious! My partner's Eggs Benedict disappeared as did my Cherry Cream French Toast with fresh black and red raspberries crowning it off. We will DEFINITELY stop here again! Highly recommend it! Notes: While we did not order drinks aside from coffee, note the drink menu image. And, as we left, we spotted a notice of future live jazz combo appearances.”

“Melinda took such great care of our group. We are Fizz Club members but our kidults and their partners had never been. Melinda took lots of time to explain the various sparkling wines and made sure we had everything we needed. She was very attentive despite it being a pretty busy afternoon in the tasting room. We stayed way longer than our reservation but never felt rushed out. Such a great place!”

“The outside is inviting but the middle aged lady inside taking the orders was straight up rude and their ordering process is out of the whack. Basic sandwiches. Soups were phenomenal. Basic wine list. Overall not very pleasant.”

“I've been to a lot of breweries but I couldn't wait to leave this one fast enough. The place was very dirty and run down. I'm an outdoor person but I couldn't walk through the joint without nats flying up my nose. There were bags of trash next to our table. The floors were covered in dirt and weeds outside. They obviously take no pride in their bulding and land. The beer was good, but didn't mind the extra protein. I never leave reviews, but I had too. The two stars are for the beer and the pizza looked good. Although there were some definite health code violations with the food. It would take so little to make this place great. Definitely disappointed.”

“My parents and I had an amazing experience at 2 Lads today!

Personally, it was my first time there, and I was not disappointed. The decor and view from the building was fantastic. Terri took great care of us, and also shared some great wine knowledge. She had such an inviting personality and made my experience great. If you have the chance to go, make sure you ask for Terri.

I had a flight of wines, carefully crafted and recommended to my personal taste. I tried the 2023 Crisp Sparkling, 2022 Riesling - Fernweh Vineyard, 2023 Rose of Pinot Gris, and 2023 Late Harvest Riesling. All of the wines I sampled were exceptional in taste.

We also shared a charcuterie board which paired nicely with our selections of wine.

I highly recommend 2 Lads if you are in the area and want an awesome wine list and experience!”

“If you'd like to visit a winery that knows a great Pinot Noir, this is a must stop in Northern Michigan. The Pinot Flight is worth it and the current ownership is dedicated to crafting a great wine experience. The 2021 is on par with the best Willamette or Russian River has to offer. It's a don't miss in my opinion.”

“We are locals and frequent Hawkin’s Farm Cellars a lot. The service is friendly and the Thai food is exceptional. My husband especially loves the Pad Thai chicken and I am a huge fan of the Green Curry dish. You could literally close your eyes and just point to anything on the menu and never be disappointed!”
