“Moved to Pontiac and this is just down the street from me. Ordered General Tso chicken and for $11 I got like 2 lbs. in a big white Styrofoam box (packed) They do NOT skimp on the portions and the Pork fried rice was amazing and the Egg drop soup was also good. I have their menu on my refrigerator and plan on ordering almost everything on the menu before the year is out.“

“This is that hole-in-the-wall Chinese spot your grandpa used to rave about and it still is. Been here since the early 90s for a reason! The sear and smokiness on the fried rice I got was to perfection and it was the old g-ma that cooked it, very legit American Chinese cuisine“

“My father and I stopped in for lunch at the PF Chang’s inside Somerset Mall, James was our server and took exceptional care of us! The food was delicious but the service is what really put this over the top! James was like a magician, here when we needed him and a ghost when we had mouthfuls of food (no one likes being bothered when they’re eating)… he made excellent recommendations and even brought over a sauce concoction, similar to the trio for our egg rolls that had spicy mustard that was fabulous! Overall you know what to expect from Chang’s and the kitchen delivered but James’s service was perfect and really made our meal an excellent experience! I’ll come here before I fight the crowds at Partridge Creek ever again! Cheers to the whole staff with an extra nod to our waiter James!“

“We had dinner on Sunday and Ethan was our waiter. He was very welcoming, attentive, and went above and beyond. Our food was delicious and we had a great time. Thanks!“

“Really weird atmosphere and vibe. Service was good.
The soup dumplings were pretty good! Spring rolls were ok and the walnut buns were interesting. We had the braised bone-in duck dish and we thought it was too
bony and didn’t have a lot of flavor. Got general tso to go and it was kinda boring - no broccoli, no rice. Just deep fried chicken with some sauce on the side.“

“Hong Hua is in an interesting position, in which it targets a luxury experience and great eats. The environment certainly meets those expectations as it feels more like a higher end, business focused feel with the refinement, yet everyone seems to be in street casual mode. Also food is offered in a a’la cart style very similar to a higher end steak house; you bill can scale up quickly because of this.
Food: The menu certainly has specialized dishes you won’t find in the average Chinese restaurant. Peking Duck is one of those things you should certainly try; it’s an broasted duck served with a unique pancake & sauces. I’ve been going here off and on for the past 10 years and they seem consistent. IMHO I feel leans toward the western taste, meaning heightened emphasis on certain spices such as salt. I’ve had the opportunity to sample authentic Chinese foods in China & other Asian countries. In terms of authenticity I give them an A-; it’s tasty
Price: Seems to be on the higher end; from 1-10…I’d say level 7 or 8.“

“I got the Mongolian Chicken combo dinner
Food was good and fresh. Good flavor. Egg roll was freshly made
Definitely a place worth trying again. It's nice to find a chinese restaurant in the area that is clean and the staff seem to enjoy doing their job. See you next time!“

“Best Chinese food in metro-Detroit, hands down! Nothing frozen, all fresh..they hand bread the chicken and it is fried to absolute golden brown perfection! The general Tao’s sauce is the best I’ve ever had. Egg rolls are light and crisp. Happy you is amazing consistent, I’ve been a customer for 10+ years and I’ve never been disappointed. They are also extremely friendly, portions are big and the prices are very reasonable! A+++“

“This is the best place for chinese. The prices are good. The portions are great. And the quality if i order on doordash or pickup always stay good. This is definitely mine and my roommates go to for chinese. I refuse to go anywhere else. I want to try more things off the menu.“

“I’ve been here a few times as it’s consistently tasty each time. While the menu focuses on noodle variations it offers other tasty treats. Watching the noodles crafted by hand is quite entertaining. It’s made in a similar way that pizza is made, instead of spinning dough into a saucer, here they perform fancy jump rope techniques into thin tasty noodles cooked in seconds. Adorned with various proteins, veggies, & spice levels there’s bound to be something you like. I find these flavors to border the authentic side vs. Panda express. Aside from the great eats I like the fact that there’s a ev charger in the parking lot (not free though).“

“Very tasty Chinese food, which is hard to find for some reason. Ordered sweet and sour chicken with fried rice. Chicken was crisp and both the chicken and rice were well seasoned.
To the owners or management - please clean out the light covers on the ceiling. Thanks!“

“This is my favorite chinese dining in option. Been coming here since I was a young girl. Food is always delicious and the family that owns it is so welcoming. My sister lives in Texas now, but Wing Lauk is an absolute MUST for her to visit when she comes to Michigan.“

“This place is by far my favorite Chinese restaurant in Troy and is the only one that has come close to Kims since they closed. The food and service is always great. This most recent time we got carryout and they forgot our sweet and sour chicken. We called them and the main employee guy (the owners son? from my understanding) came and delivered it to our house HIMSELF. I have never had a restaurant offer to do this before, let alone a restaurant like this one that doesn't have many employees.
They also for some reason have pina coladas if you are dining in which seems quite unusual for a chinese restaurant but I'm 100% here for it. Who doesn't like options?
The only downside is the building itself is a bit shabby/suspicious looking, but the service and food make that easy to ignore.“

“One of my favorite Chinese restaurants in the area. Quick for pick up meals and friendly staff. Usually the chicken and rice are perfectly cooked, moist, and delicious. I've tried a few other dishes that have all been good too. Would definitely recommend.“

“Be careful when ordering online. They automatically tip themselves. (I always tip cash) They got double tip on a carry out. Food was okay. Not like when previous owners had it.“

“First time getting food from here. I had Sweet and sour chicken. They gave a large portion with a beautiful presentation. The only complaint I have is the food was very bland. It could have been seasoned better. I will go back for a different selection.“

“They were pretty slow when I visited. There was no brocolli beef ready though, which is what I wanted. They made a fresh batch for me though in just a few minutes. Not the best Chinese food but okay for a quick lunch. My fortune cookie gave me an underhanded compliment, "You are as beautiful as you are intelligent." thanks?“

“Mitzi is the name of the woman at the front counter and her restaurant has been here for 39 years and they are proud to have never raised prices. Eggrolls are one dollar, meals are about six dollars and so on. The food options are nice and everything I’ve had so far has been great.“

“Rating food is somewhat subjective, but I love & at times Crave Chineese food, especially Egg Foo Yung, a friend treated me that dinner & now I'm hooked on this tiny carry out restaurant. Super delicious, very generous potions & Best Priced menu, not to mention pleasant service too. This little place on M-59 is very busy, a needle in a haystack. My opinion, the go to place for egg foo yung, yummy!!“

“Food is great, fast and hot! Staff is super friendly at all times. Decor is a little dated but clean. Egg roll was a little hard and didn't seem fresh. The General Tso chicken is excellent, not very spicy but more sweet. Chicken was really meaty with no fatty pieces. Would definitely recommend.“

“This is our favorite takeout Chinese restaurant in Clarkston. They do a great job at cooking the food as requested (veggies cooked through) and have some gluten-free options. They work with you and will substitute chicken without the breading when requested. We will be ordering from them on Christmas - our tradition.“

“This is an interesting place. Seems they have the standard take out food and menu one would expect at an American Chinese restaurant but they also have another menu and serve some dishes family style. That is where this restaurant stands out. Go and try it.“

“Surprisingly good for such a small place. I especially like the hot & sour soup. Seems like every place makes it a little different, some good, others, not so much. Their version is awesome. Also, the pad Thai - very tasty.“

“We had an amazing meal, drinks and experience at Zao Jun. We were planning on heading through the area and checked out their menu online and it looked amazing. Our server was actually the bartender Jeff who was pulling double duty and did it flawlessly and with laughter. We had amazing drinks....the crab rangoons and sauce were the best we ever tasted and so was the miso soup (got more to take home). And the veggie lo mein and short ribs bao buns were outstanding and perfectly portioned for my daughter and I to try (and still have lo mein to take home). Her and I already plan to go back and sit at the bar next time because Jeff seriously won us over with his personality as well as the food and atmosphere!!“
