“I first stopped here because I was on my way to Detroit and desperately needed to use a rest room! The interior blew me away how beautifully decorated it was. It’s a small space but the service was extremely friendly! I’d say it’s upscale Thai. Their Thai cold coffee is delicious! 🤤 it’s honestly one of the best ambiances I’ve had in a restaraunt even though it’s small. My only complaint is they did not ask what spice level we wanted our dishes to be (which is strange) so my friend and my food was a bit spicy to share with our kids. I’d definitely go back tho. Can’t get over how adorable they did with the interior decorating and attention to detail with the food and space! Thank you for being friendly to me even when I was not a customer yet. ❤️👌😀🌸🌸 and being patient with a table with two 4 year olds.“

“The new owners have improved the interior and it is now open on weekends, which is nice. They now encourage you to use an app instead of calling in orders, which charges an extra fee. Also, they removed the one item I've always ordered (since 2012) and liked most - Pad Prik, so I've mostly stopped going here.“

“Had been going to this place for a while before the hostess on the phone told me their spice levels. Mild, Med, Hot, then 1X - 10X extra hot. She told me 5X is about habanero and 10X is about ghost pepper level.

I tried 4X and it was close to the hottest thing I've eaten lol. Even got advice on what I could do if it was too spicy. Very pleased with my order, I don't know if I'll go hotter than that, but the food was very flavorful in its own right, disregarding the spice.

“Great Thai food, friendly service, in a little mini mall torn straight from the early 1980s. As far as I can tell, this is pretty authentic (though I'm not Thai, so take that with a big grain of salt). Provides a decent amount of spice, great flavors! They've got a good vegetarian selection.“

“I’ve eaten at Bangkok Cuisine several times, but this is the first time I have gotten takeout from the express location near my home. The order was ready very quickly. The food was piping hot when I picked it up, and the staff was very friendly. I don’t live far from the location, but even so the food was still piping hot when I got home and there was no need to re-heat. Food was tasty as always, and I would recommend this location.“

“I noticed Bangkok Sala Cafe while I was eating at another spot a couple doors down in the strip mall, and I’m really glad I decided to check it out. The Thai food options near my office within walking distance just haven’t been good, so I didn’t have high expectations—but this place completely changed that.
From the moment I walked in, I was greeted right away. The restaurant has a really cool, welcoming vibe. I ordered the lunch special Pad Thai with chicken (mild), which came with hot and sour soup. The soup came out quickly and was absolutely delicious. Not long after, the Pad Thai arrived—and it was packed with flavor, fresh, and cooked perfectly.
The service was top‑notch. The staff made sure my water glass was always full and checked in to make sure everything was great. I was really impressed with how fast the food came out without sacrificing quality.
Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent. This was my first visit, but it definitely won’t be my last. I’ll absolutely be coming back.“

“This place has the most authentic Japanese style feel I have ever been. The food, service, and presentation is the closest I've found to the experience I had in my last trip to Japan. With the soft spoken staff, to all the little sides they add to your meal, to the personal and homey inside, and to even the taste in music which seems like someone's personal playlist instead of stereotypical Japan music or modern pop songs.
