“Now I have been going to these KKC places but this one has them beat, I just found my chicken spot , the main reason I was going was they have fried corn on cob and being from the south I was missing it. But I found it, if only they would make a restaurant, but theses little snack spots are still good. It's in a citco station on Jefferson, find it trust you will like it“

“I went to The Eagle for lunch and it exceeded my expectations! The food was truly delicious. The chicken just about fell of the bone of my drumstick and the mac and cheese was the perfect creamy, yummy side. It was also a cool vibe! As a Detroit resident I love that there's a new place to watch a game that's not just a "sports bar." The service was great, bathrooms clean, and just a 10/10 spot!“

“Had some really amazing food at this casual and friendly spot. Chicken papusa was one of the best I've had, I also had plantains and cream and the rotisserie chicken quesadilla. “We enjoyed this Dave's. We came because of the cauliflower sliders for my vegetarian boyfriend. I got a medium tender and hot sandwich to try both heat levels. The medium tender wasn't that good but I really liked the hot slider. The flavor of the medium didn't taste as good so keep that in mind. For my preference the hot was not too spicy at all. I don't like the Dave's sauce being mayonnaise based. There is little seating for how busy it is. We had one waiting for a table while the other ordered. The atmosphere is like a five guys or similar fast casual restaurant.“

“The chicken shawarma sandwich was good. The chicken was extremely juicy which is rare for a shawarma place. They only serve chicken! I was not aware of that before heading there for a beer shawarma lol. “The 5 piece chicken tenders were very dry and hard to chew, but I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt because it was also around 8 at night. The place itself wasn’t the most appealing but it also looked like every other popeyes (not much complaint there). The fries were bomb. I truly do adore Popeyes, but this location wasn’t a 10/10.“

I didn’t know at the time that l had found a hidden jewel!! “The fish was good though they were smaller than usual. Everything was well seasoned. The sides are odd. The coleslaw I do not recommend because it was DRY! The macaroni salad was ok and the spaghetti was spicy. I really like the shrimp and well as the chicken wings. Very good. I don't like koolaid but for some strange reason their koolaid was pretty good. I got the tropical punch. The inside was clean & neat which is a PLUS!“

“Our normal chicken and waffle spot so happened to be closed, and we stumbled upon Bella's chicken and waffles, and this was the best find! The sugar pearl waffle is thee best and the chicken was just so perfectly fried and juicy!!! This is now going to be our new norm chicken and waffles spot! 5 stars hands down! “I had never had broasted chicken until now, I was one of those morons thinking it was the same thing as fried chicken. My girl really wanted some broasted chicken, so we look where was still open, chicken shack was the only place that didn't close within ten minutes of checking, so we hop in the car, and head off into the night. I called ahead because I wanted to see if they would do an all dark meat order, and they said "of course". Great! When I got there I asked for a six piece dark meat box, the cheerful lady, unphased by how late we showed up said "oh you called a little bit ago" with a smile that went beyond the standard customer service pleasantries, it gave me hope for humanity. The guys behind the her dutifully filled my order in a flash all the while cracking jokes, and making the best of a closing shift. I get my food, paid, and left, taking my chicken home to see what the fuss was about. Now I wasn't enthused because I assumed, like a troglodyte, that it would be overly breaded, too salty, and overcooked like fried chicken usually is. I was wrong. I was so wrong I feel the need to atone my ignorance with every living god, and several forgotten gods known only to that weird guy that lives in the woods by the rouge. This chicken didn't taste like it came from the paltry bounties of this earth, it was the ambrosia stolen from on high, delivered to mankind to see us through the most tumultuous of tragedies. It was juicy, it was crispy, it made me angry that I wasted so much of my life not knowing this delicious creation was available just a mile and a half from my home. I was a fool, but this humble chicken has opened my third eye and will ultimately help me escape samsara. Also they didn't upcharge for an all dark meat order, which is neat.“

“I enjoyed the krispy chicken very delish, the servers are very, kind, patient, and know how to talk with the public specially when someone tries to be snippy the server remains calm and kind without speaking or lashing back out with the customer. I give Kudos to the servers for handling themselves with respect towards the snippy customer. “One of the best places in Detroit to get all your meat and poultry. It’s right across from Eastern Market and there is free parking lot within 50 yards. The selection and quality of food are great. If you have questions and want to pursue the selection, avoid going on Saturdays because they are really busy!“

“The Gentleman working told us we would be back once we mentioned it was our first time trying this place. He was ABSOLUTELY correct! The chicken was fantastic! Potatoes were amazing! Rolls were ok but not bad, will definitely try a different side. I would completely recommend this location over any other big chain like KFC, or Popeyes.
