“Unexpected excellence! Came in at 4pm on Friday, our efficient and friendly waiter Andy was taking care of at least 10 other tables-but made each customer feel well taken care of. The clam chowder soup was excellent, like from a fine seafood restaurant! The Cobb salad was presented beautifully, and I took about half of it home! We live 1 hour away-but will make plans to return!“

“Came here for a quick dinner with some of my girlfriends after my wedding dress fitting, and it was the perfect spot. The lobster bisque was absolutely delicious, and the menu offered plenty of variety with lots of great options to choose from. We each tried different chef selections, and everyone loved both their food and drinks. I especially appreciated the thoughtful mocktail menu for anyone not drinking but still wanting something special. The service was friendly and very attentive, which made the experience even better. “Just has a really nice sushi lunch here. Sushi lunch special well priced at $14. The food was great and served was appropriately attentive. Atmosphere cute and homey. Love that it’s in Rochester’s charming downtown. Would definitely come back.“

“It was a delivery and I was surprised at how small size chicken teriyaki sub was packed with chicken, mushrooms, and onions on multigrain(not common these days). I’m not a large person, but that made a for a good solid meal for me with their delicious fries. I will go to the restaurant now to try something else on the menu. This place is good value for money.“

“Last night my family and myself went to Grand Tavern for supper after a long day. Our waiter Xhorxh was absolutely amazing! Personally, I have dietary restrictions and explained to him that I am unable to have gluten, dairy, or egg. I had already pre-creeped the menu before arriving so I could find a meal that would be easy to hopefully adapt to my dietary restrictions. After explaining my restrictions Xhorxh was ON IT! He immediately spoke to the chef and the chef adapted my meal to my restrictions. Xhorxh did tell me that there could be a possible cross contamination with gluten on one of my sides and explained that they couldn’t guarantee that that one thing would be gluten free. Listen, not very often in the service industry do you come across a wait staff member or chef that made sure to cross all of the boxes. I ordered brussel sprouts as the appetizer without the cheese (I could have had three plates of that it was so good) and the cedar plank salmon and ordered two veggies as my side. IT was DELISH!!!!! Xhorxh also made sure that our drinks were constantly filled and took amazing care of our family. My MIL even made a comment after we received our meals how she really liked him as a waiter. I wished we had a Grand Tavern where we lived but unfortunately we are 8 hours away but we will absolutely be back when visiting family! ❤️“

“Constantly good! I order from this particular store pretty often because they don’t ever disappoint me. It is a good pie every time I place an order. I pick it up and have it delivered, both ways there is always a friendly staff member handing me the delicious pizza I ordered.“

“This is a great local brewery and restaurant. The turkey Reuben is fantastic. The outdoor seating area is spacious and has the ability to sit in covered or uncovered space. There is a great beer selection.

Afterwards, the Paint Creek Trail and the Clinton River trail are just steps away. Also, if you are wanting to shop, Downtown Rochester and Main Street are just a couple of blocks away.“
