“A Californian and a Texan walk into a Midwest Taco joint… and are pleasantly surprised! Fun concept Tex-Mex menu with unique choices of sauces, meats, toppings, and shells to choose from. They have flights of special dips and signature margaritas, allowing for a fun and creative tasting experience starting with apps and drinks. For the mains, you can either build your own or taco/bowl/burrito or choose from one of their signature pairings from a large menu. They have several meat and non meat options to choose from, and our server Colby did an awesome job helping us navigate the menu to create a great Taco Tuesday experience. He took great care of us and made the fun but large menu even more approachable and enjoyable. Would definitely recommend trying it out, just keep in mind that if you are from CA/TX and like things SPICY, that the spice level on all items is geared towards a midwestern pallet aka on the milder side.“

“At a recent family birthday celebration, I needed appetizers at the last minute. I went to the right people for help! It was no problem for Kal and Ann! They cheerfully made fresh batches of delicious hummus (two varieties) which came with chips and pita bread. I served that, along with two kinds of their fabulous soup, to my dinner guests. Everyone complimented the delicious food Kal and Ann prepared. If you haven’t tried KAL’s Lunch Bowl, located in the Royal Oak Farmers Market yet, I recommend it. You won’t be a “just another customer” ~~ You’ll be a FRIEND!“

And the owner is an amazing young women who treats you as if she has known , I so recommend visiting but beware it will be your new favorite place !!!“

“ordered from door dash a couple of times and this will be my last. every time, there is something wrong with the order. today, half of the order was missing and packing was so careless that the driver showed up with a container full of food spilled in the bag. • Unexpectedly, very small, downtown location.
• When we walked in it was very busy and we were not greeted. Also, we were unsure where to sit due to tables being used or had stuff on them.
• Only had one guy working. He was very nice and professional. There was way too much expected from just one worker to accomplish. He was amazing, very knowledgeable, and did his very best.

Jim Brady’s in Royal Oak is hands down one of the best group hangout spots in the area. The location alone is unbeatable—right in the heart of the action, bringing together a lively mix of people and that unbeatable Royal Oak energy. Whether you’re posted up at the bar, grabbing a booth inside, or soaking up the sun on the outdoor patio, there’s always plenty of seating and even more good vibes.

Now let’s talk about the real reason this review is being written: the grilled octopus appetizer. As someone who’s traveled to more than 15 countries and spent time off the beaten path in Italy dining alongside locals—not tourists—I can say with complete confidence that this octopus is a 10 out of 5. Perfectly grilled, tender with the right char, flavorful in all the right ways… it instantly transported me back to the cobblestone alleys of southern Italy where seafood is sacred.

My best friend Janessa is a burger girl through and through (and yes, Jim Brady’s burgers are excellent too), but if it were up to me, I’d have five plates of grilled octopus in front of me every time I come. I haven’t found a single restaurant in the U.S. that even comes close to this level of grilled octopus perfection. If you’re even thinking about going, do yourself a favor: order the octopus—you’ll never look back.

“Walked in this morning to Starbucks and Was greeted by the young man working The counter Alex was great I got a sausage and cheese sandwich and everything was good. “I had a terrible experience with ordering on the app and being delivered by DoorDash. Long story short, the staff at the royal oak location went above and beyond to get me my food! They offered to refund me and remake my food, but the manager Kurtis was exceptional and offered to personally deliver my food to me while working at the hospital! He did not have to do that, he wouldn’t even accept a tip! They remade my food and smoothie to ensure it was fresh! It wasn’t their fault at all that DoorDash dropped the ball. The consumer service here was Amazing! Elliot was patient and kind and very helpful as well!“
