“I grew up in this town but left in 1985. I’ve lived in California since and have eaten at a lot of great restaurants including the Laundry, Chez Panisse, Slanted Door and Mr Chows to name a few. This without a doubt rank's right there. I honestly never thought I’d have a decent thing to eat in this town other than bar food but now I know exactly where it is. If you’re hungry for something exceptional look no further. I have never liked mushrooms, but the mushroom toast was my favorite dish. I can’t believe I’m saying it. “If you have to get fast food may as well be Culver's as it's better than any other drive thru I've been to. Great service and fair prices. Butter burger was delicious and made fresh. Onion rings were subpar- could have been thicker rings. Cheese curds were alright. Ice cream was great.“

“While staying in Traverse City, we ventured upon this delicious restaurant. The food was amazing, from the appetizers to the entrees,to the sides, and the drinks; everything was delicious! I would highly recommend their Smoked Cherry Sour, the Smoked & Deep-Fried Wings, the Sword Fish & Black Lentils, and the Smoked Pork Rinds. And the staff? They were friendly and accommodating. We just might have to visit again before we journey home. There were additional items on the menu I was curious to try.“

“Veterans Day lunch at Applebee's with friends, one of whom is a Veteran. Applebee's management stopped by our table a thanked my friend for his service, comped his meal, and gave him a card for a discount on his next meal. The meal was excellent and we really enjoyed the atmosphere.“

“A pretty good spot. Most menu items are between $10-20. We did not order a burger, but there are 10 or so unique burgers on the menu. The jalapeño popper items (omelettes, burgers) really stuck out to me. I had the Philly wrap, it was great. Portions are not super huge, which is just fine. Cole slaw quality needs to be checked, that or it is just not their best item. The interior is very homey and will remind you of your home town diner.“

“My Mom had the chili & black bean burger. She loved both! I had the French dip and I was great- the chips seemed homemade. A very quaint space too, but small so while we only waited about ten minutes, I would recommend reservations. Though there is plenty of shopping to keep you busy should you need to wait longer.“

“I stopped in for breakfast this past Saturday, May 18 and was so impressed with my server Nikki and the terrific Popeye omelet and cherry pancakes, I came back Sunday morning May 19 and had an equally terrific experience, courtesy of Rae, who served me an equally tasty Albuquerque omelet. Both Nikki and Rae were positive, professional, prompt and refreshingly upbeat. In an economy that is all too often focused on commodities, the service your team provided made the food, that much better. I'll definitely be back, the next time I'm in Traverse City and of course, recommend the Flap Jack Shack to people who are traveling there. Please pass my appreciation on to Nikki and Rae, as well as their manager, who has obviously been instrumental in creating a service-first team! ps. I asked Nikki for some chocolate syrup for my Cherry Pancakes and she cheerfully obliged. You should put it on the menu, it's the bomb!“

“Have been buying Asiago Roasted Garlic bread for years. Great Bread toasted loaded with real garlic cloves. However the last loaf lacked any Garlic at all. “This place was great! The bloody mary was delicious. We had the spinach dip with pita chips and tortilla chips. Tasted great. The wedge salad was so good. My husband had the chicken tenders and waffle fries which he thought were delicious. The wait staff were so friendly too. We will definitely be back!“

“The homemade ranch is amazing! The Cali club was great also. Fries are average, ghost pepper curds are good. Daughter had the pork belly special and it was really overcooked, and son didn’t really care for the chicken tenders. Overall “decent” food, but with a lot of choices, may not return.“

“I loved everything about this restaurant except the price. That being said, you get what you pay for. 2 very tasty beers, and 2 huge plates of crispy fish & chips for my girlfriend and I with some whitefish dip as a starter set us back about $100. The drive there is part of the experience so dont forget to look around and imagine the life you'll never have owning or working at any of the hundred vinyards. The service was stellar, for our large group + 1 baby we felt well looked after. The beer was delicious, but if I knew it was $10 for 1 glass and roughly $25 for a growler, id have brought my own cup. If I'm back in Traverse City, Ill definitely go back for the fish and chips and a growler of beer.“
