“Just found this place recently thru an online Gluten free blogger. I am medically Gluten intolerant. There aren't many places around me that I trust for 1)my health and safety,and 2) fantastic food! Hidalgo's staff put me at ease with their knowledge about minimizing cross contamination. Everything I've tried there has been excellent. Took non GF people there too and everyone left happy!! After a week process of phone calls and finally going in person, I was able to get my proper refund. Food was delicious and the owner was apologetic. Will be back for another try.“

“We had brunch at Tikalito today and everything was fantastic! I had the huevos rancheros - the best I’ve had since I lived in L.A. twenty-plus years ago. My wife had a chicken tamale and it too was out of this world - the masa was thick and flavorful. And the refried beans… a hint of cocoa, flavored with molé, maybe? Super friendly service too. “Came in yesterday on taco Tuesday for carry out. The wait was long but they were super busy and seemed to be short staffed. The girls who were working were running around like crazy. I give them props. My inpatient son said the tacos were worth the wait! It was our first time in. We will be back. The food was yummy and the portions were great. 👍“

Not too much...just enough to make you want whatever it is they are cooking. The lady behind the counter was a sweetheart even though you can tell there was a slight language barrier. Particularly on my part cause she quite in her element. Just waiting for the food now...
Okay, got the food, sat down and ate it. One thing, she only gave me a spoon. Not an issue, just an observation

“My family and I had just returned from a long, exhausting flight, and we were not looking forward to a three hour layover. Upon hearing our growling stomachs, we decided to get a bite to eat, not knowing what would transpire. We found ourselves in a long line of hangry airport-goers and it was taking a lifetime. But the second Hamza stepped up to fill in, the line didn’t stand a chance. Hamza was a dream. He made me and my brother’s burritos lickety split and was incredibly friendly to us all. He cheered up our little brother who was having a bad day by calling him “King” (because his burrito was so full). I don’t know what else to say other than Hamzad changed my day for the better. He has inspired us in more ways than I expected. Even his humble smile and impeccable sense of duty—he gets the job done while making it fun. Hamza is a testament to the good in this world. Whenever I come back to Detroit International airport, my brothers and I will be the first to come to Qdoba, just to see him again. People like him give me hope for the seemingly bleak future.
