“I'm a return diner, but I won't be coming back. The food was prepared perfectly and was delicious, the service was exquisite and I love the ambience. What I object to is the 20% service charge that was automatically attached to my bill. I'm a generous tipper and adequate service starts at 20%, exquisite service like I received is easily worth much, much more. I don't care to be forced into tipping, it's a gratuity not a service charge. As a result I won't be coming back...ever.“

“Visiting the area for work. I ended up working late and was craving noodles.

The place has a nice store front and the inside is a little small but has an intimate feel. The staff were very on top of everything. Getting drinks, orders, refills, checks, smiles, etc. Like clockwork. I had the Mountain Roll and the Nabeyako Udon. I like the Mountain Roll best of the two but both very good. Will say, on the normal menu, you may have to ask what certain things are. Very lottle descriptions, compared to the sushi menu, that's very detailed.

You do get a feel of being rushed when you are there though. It's a small place, so I understand they need to rotate tables in and out otherwise it would be very congested here. The staff are not pushy by any means, but you get the sense when you should probably get ready to go. Otherwise, good place to bring a date and would recommend anyonebl ooking for a good sushi/noodle place.“

“I normally frequent the brownstone location. however in my work travels sometimes I stop by the 14 n Woodward location. today I got a bowl and had a few problems. 1 the lid wasn't on all the way so now got food all over my clothes and inside my vehicle. also the pieces of meat were big and not sliced up. How tf is someone supposed to eat that with a plastic fork ? it would of took 30 seconds to slice that up for a bowl, instead it was left whole. normally the food is great, but today was not good.“

“The chicken was really delicious. There are a lot of stuffed animals at this place, which is a little odd, but they have a lot of modern decoration elements as well. Lovely grotto patio, wine display, and private event space. Again, the chicken was so well prepared, very flavorful, moist, and a considerable portion.“

“Delicious and flavorful food. Friendly staff. Mexican style/street tacos flare. Positive energy vibe, plenty of seating available. I had the California burrito and asked to add cilantro and had no issues, in fact the person taking the order loaded me up with additional toppings and sauces that the burrito was filling enough for 2 meals. Also had the trio sampler (guacamole, cheese, salsa) with chips. Very filling. Great flavor profile. Will definitely be adding this to my list to return again.“

The temp in July was around 95F outside but unfortunately it felt like 85F inside the restaurant. Their AC was on but the restaurant was not cooling off which made it a bit uncomfortable.

I would have ordered a salad but the Cyclosporiasis outbreak was taking place in Michigan in 2026 so I just ordered Chicken Quesadillas.“

One of my favorite menu items is the Alex salad, it’s always fresh, well-balanced, and consistently excellent. Overall, it’s a great spot with reliable service and standout food.

“I'm pregnant and was craving Chinese food really bad. I ordered the shrimp egg foo young. It was very good. The gravy that they make to go with that is so delicious that even one of my picky eater kids was sitting there with a spoon, eating the gravy. My kids got the shrimp fried rice and we also had egg rolls. The egg rolls here are large, compared to everywhere else. It was a pleasant surprise. We were all happy with our food. It was my first time here and I would come back again.“
