“During our 6 month stay in the Saline, MI area, Sushi Dabu was easily the best and our favorite restaurant to eat at. The couple that own/ operate the restaurant are so amazing, wonderful, professional, and extremely friendly. They made us feel as though we all had been friends for years. I lived in Okinawa and visited Korea a lot over the years and can very honestly and confidently say their food is easily comparable to the amazing local foods I ate while in those beautiful countries. Thank you so much for being such welcoming hosts and please know, if/ when we can back to Michigan, we Will be coming by to say hi and enjoy your amazing cuisine.“

“I've only had sushi one time before trying AkI Sushi Bar and Grill. I had delivery service, ordered on line and picked my time of delivery. I had Seafood soup, Dynamite rolls and California rolls. Oh my! My order was delivered on time, my soup hot, my sushi cold. Very good. So good in fact I ordered again. This is now my go to place when I want a Sushi treat!“

“We had a wonderful dinner experience. Our cocktails were delightful and the food was delicious. Our food was delayed in the kitchen (something we barely noticed) and the manager gave us a discount on our meal to ensure we were satisfied. I’d call that going “above and beyond”. Highly recommend.“

“Looking for a place near BJ'S to grab a sushi lunch and this one came up just west of it. Easy to get to by interconnected parking lots or Sheldon Rd. In the strip behind IHOP and near Raisen Canes ( but much better food). It is in the corner. While it is a smaller store front with a much more limited menu than most Sushi places, they have the normal popular ones I did take my normal star off for not having fountain pop but they do have coke products.

I ordered my normal Shrimp Tempura Roll. While it was a little different than most, no cucumber or avocado, it was delicious. The tastes of the shrimp really came through.

The service was friendly and the owner so he cared about his customers. The prices are more than fair.

I will be back when I shop at BJ'S again.“

“So far the best Japanese we've found in Ann Arbor. The food was well prepared and the portions generous for the price. The Yotsuba Bento Box was a surprising amount of food and an amazing value. The sashimi option is only 4 pieces, but they're very thick cut and large in size. The teriyaki salmon option is also a very sizable piece of fish.

The sushi we tried was tasty and service was prompt and attentive. We will definitely be returning.“

“8/16/26: Came here to eat before a live show I was attending in the area. Got the Chicken Katsu bento, which comes with miso soup, and tried the raw tuna sushi, which is my first time doing sushi. Everything was pretty good. The chicken was tender with a crispy exterior, the noodles had a nice vinegarette sauce on them, the vegetable tempura was light and crispy as well. I was not fond of the rolls. And it took a while to figure out how to eat the edamame, haha. The miso soup was excellent though, I wish it had more tofu in it. The sushi was pretty good too; not what I expected to taste like, to be honest, so I'm glad this didn't sour me on the experience.

The only sad thing is they do not serve any alcohol. I've seldom gotten to try sake, but what I have tried has been great, but since they don't have any, that kinda sucks, if you like alcohol with your dinner.

The lady server was good. It didn't seem like she spoke english, so it was a bit of a barrier there, but she did help me decide what sushi to get and how to properly eat it, which she obviously didn't have to do. But I did greatly appreciate the service =0). I don't live in the area, but I'd recommend this place based on my experience that day.“

“Four of us came to this restaurant right after graduation. We were offered limited graduation menu. We ordered pretty much all meals on the menu. Drinks were good, food was OK and service was good. It was expensive and I felt like you paid for ambiance. Had heard a lot about this place but at the end it was disappointing overall“

“Amazingly good food and good value. You know it's going to be great when the free appetizers (miso and cucumber salad) are memorably good. The rest of the meal was just as impressive. Everything we ordered - rolls and bentos, seaweed salad and sashimi - was fantastic, and attractively served. We ordered a ton and demolished it all - we usually take home leftovers. “This is one of our favorite Japanese and sushi restaurants in the area. While we don’t go there often, we go to eat there every time we are in Ann Arbor. My favorite is the spicy tuna or salmon bowl. All ingredients are balanced with the right amount of the spicy sauce.“
