“My wife and I went there for our anniversary. It was our first time trying Baldamar. We got seated in Nate aka "Nate-Or" section! Man what a guy! Our experience was amazing! His energetic lifestyle brought so much to our dining experience. All the staff was truly remarkable. We had the prime ribeye, filet, bread of life, lobster mac and cheese, thr mushrooms and asparagus/crab were do die for! Definitely one of the best steaks I've had in MN!“

“Came here for bingo and the bartender, bingo seller, and bingo caller were all so kind! $1 per game $2 cover all. Cash! It was packed and very much for reason. It was also sweet to see the owner around and she was rockin’ it behind the bar. I had so much fun :) highly recommend the dill sauce/pickle burger. SO GOOD!!! Great prices too.“

“We love the Sample Room - always have, always will! We had an excellent experience at the bar for Dine Out For Life - Richard took awesome care of us & the food was delicious! Highly recommend the lion's mane mushroom cakes, trout croquettes, & the mussels (personally we'd skip the sausage, takes away from the mussels). Overall, fantastic dining, thank you!“

“Absolutely loved the Camden Social. The owner was very professional and welcoming. Went there for Saturday brunch and they had a jazz band playing live music. Ordered the French toast, eggs, and sausage. The sausage was so well seasoned and full of flavor. And the French toast omg so good. Probably one of the best French toast I've had. Will definitely be back to try more of their menu. Thanks for a great experience.“

“We recently had dinner for 9 on a Friday night to celebrate my Mom's 80th birthday and our godfather's 90th. We brought along a menu that we had from the 1960's to show staff . . . prices have changed, but not much else except the carpet, which is as it should be . . . quality is quality! As my Mom noted, we had a DINING experience; we were not just quickly and mindlessly served. Because of that, us younger-fold will be back to JAX to enjoy that experience. But for one night, the JAX staff and owners helped our parents and godfather celebrate old times and again enjoy a "night out on the town" they will not soon forget! For that, we THANK YOU, JAX Cafe!!!“

“Great food and atmosphere. I have never had a bad experience. I love coming here and am always quick to recommend it to others. Their only problem is they have the worst, most generic pickles. With such great burgers it's a shame that's what's served with it. I would love to see them switch to something tastier.“

“Ok, I'm visiting Minneapolis to see my kids and grandkids, and my two sons and I decided to come to a new dinner and drinks spot. We were quite impressed by the food! OMG! I had the goat cheese toast and it was superb. I know what you're thinking...goat cheese toast??? Yes! It has the creamiest goat cheese with candied walnuts, thyme, figs, honey, pesto, and a balsamic reduction on a toasted ciabatta. Wow! All those flavors in my mouth made me want to sing!! Hahaha We also got the lemon Caesar salad, and the BBQ Brisket Melt. So good! BBQ flavor was rich and delicious, with a juicy and tender brisket. We also ordered ALL the desserts. LOL The pistachio cheese was, hands down, the best cheesecake I have ever had. What a surprisingly delectable taste combination. The pistachio with the creamy cheesecake, think graham cracker crust and the whipped cream and ice cream was so delicious, I made a scene. Haha! The pineapple Bundt cake was soft, moist , pineapply and so damn good. The chocolate torte was good, delicious but nothing super surprising. The strawberry shortcake was the dessert I was most excited about, but it was disappointing. We did not like it. The shortcake had a really strong bitter flavor. Weird and not pleasant at all. We sent it back, it was that disappointing. But...the rest of the food and beverages were absolutely a do-over! We will be back!!!!“

“RJ Riches is a local treasure that needs to be experienced by all. The food portions are legendary and I have never actually finished a meal here, so it’s a gift that keeps on giving. The diner used to be quite outdated in a cool retro way. Now it’s just a regular dine with blue decor. Stop in if you’re hungry, so definitely won’t leave hungry.“

“Wow!! I love finding wonderful new locally owned neighborhood restaurants!! Went here for breakfast, and got right in. We had the pancakes with a really good honey yogurt and blueberry toppings. And the breakfast burrito that came with some delicious greens that had a unique lemon vinegrette dressing. It was all delicious! They have different lunch and dinner menus that will swing back thru to try. Highly suggest!“

“Solid menu. Food prepared well. Reasonable value. Sarna's isn't alone with the trend of crossing a sports' bar with a better menu, so the issue may be more with me for not embracing that trend instead of Sarna's for employing it. Food is very, very good.“

They don’t charge as much as others and They are always upgrading and redoing the felt on all the tables, getting new house cues, and the food is better and cheaper than mostly restaurants. “They're busy on weekends after 9 AM, but well staffed and prepared for it. There are lots of options on the menu. They have an attentive waitstaff. I never have to ask for a refill on my coffee or my check. The food is consistent and good. If you ask for crispy hashbrowns, you'll get crispy hashbrowns. And, the last time I was there, we got our food within 10 minutes of ordering.“

“First visit today. Only reason I went with just a 4 star review. Not really close to us, as we live in South Minneapolis area, Longfellow. Was looking for a new place for brunch, that we hadn't been to before. Good reviews on Yelp made it worth the drive North. It an old diner with a pretty complete menu. I typically go with a pretty basic breakfast when I try a new place, Doll always sticks to a veggie omelet. I went with the Polish Ranch. scrambled eggs, polish sausage, hash browns, and toast. All hot and very tasty, Doll loved the omelet. Great attention from our waitress, very attentive. Spoke to the owner before we left, really solid meal that we will come back for. Told him we dine out a lot, and his breakfast was a high winner.“

“Outstanding food, service, and atmosphere. Love the rigatoni. Specials are difficult to turn down. If you go after 4 pm, you can get a pannekoken. And they often have music after 5 pm. You may need reservations in the evening. When the weather is good, they have a wonderful outside eating area.“

“At first site the restaurant/Dive Bar was very unassuming but once seated & being greeted by the waiter the laid back yet friendly energy & bar vibe similar to cheers made our lunch visit worth it. The service was good & the food came out in a good amount of time. The "Sassy D" what I would consider a meat lovers pizza was enjoyably unique with the addition of Polish sausage as a topping. The "Mentally Unstable" breadstick appetizer was good nothing spectacular but definitely better than some chain restaurants. Would definitely go again for lunch.“

“Carol's is a place from another time. Everytime we go, I feel as if we've turned the clock back 40 years, and regained so much that has been lost in modern restaurants. The food is all perfect (we've ordered it all), exactly what you want in diner comfort food. But the real magic is in the friendly staff, the chatty guests (the place is never slow), and the warm atmosphere. The little coffee shop and dessert bakery, along with the nick nack store add to the community marketplace feel that makes Carol's so great.“

“We ordered their sampler platter, which was said to be enough for two. It is a good size to try their food, but not enough to be fully full. We also had the Mac bites. Overall, the food was good and flavorful. The staff was helpful on the phone with questions regarding their menu. The restaurant itself was small. There were six tables that seated 2-4 people. Overall, a good place to get wings, ribs, and other BBQ sides locally.“

“Great food. And apparently, I wasn't the only one thinking, so the cafe was packed, but I doubt we waited 10-15 tops from when we ordered to when we received our order. This was on a Tuesday lunch 12pm. I was impressed by how fast it came out with how busy it was!“

“I absolutely ALWAYS get the kindest, most friendly, (and of course efficient) service here at Culver's on Centerville Rd. in Vadnais Heights. This is where I bring my senior citizen Mom for our lunches because the food and service is great, the tables and booths are always clean, and we can visit as long as we want!. The acoustics are such that we can talk and hear each other, which is usually a problem for my Mom. Admittedly, I usually take home a kid's size burger to eat later so that I can eat a giant custard sundae, malt, concrete mixer, or something else irresistible as my "meal". Highly recommend!!“

“I wasn’t planning to go here as I was driving on Central Avenue near Fridley. I was actually going to one of my favorite Korean restaurants about half a mile up. As I was driving, I a saw a big tent and a crowd of people. So I flipped around and wanted to check this place out. Looks like they were celebrating Ramadan. I’m glad I saw this place because the food was delicious ?The lamb, beef kabobs, kofta, fresh tabouli and hummus were amazing. There were a lot of other food that I don’t know the names but were equally yummy. It was crazy busy but I think it was because of the celebration they were having.“

“Grumpy's is a classic. It's everything you'd expect in a dive bar.You can't not like it. Yeah, the patrons can be annoying and entitled, parking sucks, the bathroom is not stellar, they sell Veggies pizza, and it's always loud. That's what makes it the bar that it is!NA options: I love that they have Guinness NA! I also love that the bartender served the beer in an actual Guinness glass!“

“First time here and it was a pretty good experience. I appreciate how the restaurant offers reservations... just makes it so much easier for everyone. Unfortunately, I did not see any staff at the hostess stand when I arrived however, my party was already seated. I've heard nothing but fantastic things about the all you can eat fish fry here, so that's what actually brought me here. Fantastic! Fish was hot, crispy, and not greasy; also served with tartar sauce. You also get a generous amount of fries which were great... I love a good zesty fry. Coleslaw was tasty as well. I had to get the mini donuts for dessert and those were delicious. Tasty, hot, and perfectly sugared. There were a few things I'd like to try on the menu... Buffalo chicken wontons, cheese curds, and the burger. I'll have to come back next time I'm in the area. I'd say our waitress wasn't very attentive and not too friendly.... Just kinda felt like she didn't want to be there. However, the food made up for it. Restaurant is large, well lit, and clean.“

“We have dined at Bricks several times and this most recent time we had them cater a large networking event with 35+ other businesses. Briana and her team were excellent to work with. They helped suggest food choices, prepared perfectly to serve about 60 in attendance. Food was excellent, delivery was included along with some set up help. I highly recommend Bricks Kitchen and Pub to anyone looked for a great in person dining experience or a catered event!“

“Ordered fish and chips for takeout. The order was ready promptly but pickup was a bit chaotic as it was Friday night during happy hour and all the servers and bar personnel were really busy, The portions were very generous for both the fish and the chips and the fish was flavorful and not overly battered. My main complaint was that the takeout containers were plastic and thus the food couldn't be rewarmed in the oven. Microwave makes the chips soggy which these were by the time I got them home. Styrofoam is equally bad for the environment but at least it could have been put in the oven to reheat. Price was fairly reasonable for the size of the portions.“

“A friend who use to live in White Bear suggested this place. So when another friend and I decided to have lunch we chose here.Upon arrival at noon, there were several tables filled but we were not spoken to by any staff for at least 7-8 minutes. Once we figured out who was seating us we realized the hostess/manager had walked by us multiple times. He should have acknowledged those waiting. All it takes is a quick hello and "we will be with you shortly". There was another party waiting behind us. Maybe short staffed. We chose to sit outside. It was very nice. Our server was fairly attentive and informative. It was our first time. She was new also. She was tipped very well since she did great for being new.My friend ordered the lunch special-Walleye Burrito. It was very good she said. Her fries were full length and warm.I ordered the Brickhouse Burger without the special sauce. I subbed BBQ sauce on the side. The sauce was bland. The burger was nothing phenomenal.I assume the white cheese was cheddar based on what the server told me. But it didnt taste like cheddar. My fries were mostly over-cooked and very small pieces.I wish I had ordered the Burrito since the burger was not better or bigger than a Culver's burger for twice the price. We both had water and coffee. The water was warm. Our bill came to over $53 for lunch. We both personally felt the quality and size of the meals were not worth the price. The building and atmosphere was lovely. Maybe they have high taxes and rent.“

“The atmosphere is fine dining, business casual. Our server was attentive, and enjoyed sharing his knowledge of the menu. The happy hour appetizers were a mixed bag. While the cheese curds were delicious, and the filling of the deviled eggs were mouth watering. The eggs themselves were overcooked and rubbery. If you get a chance to try Tria’s chicken pot pie, you won’t be disappointed. First time diners, and we’ll have to come back for more“
