“When I moved to the area from the country, I immediately started looking for plant based restaurants to go to in Minneapolis. I had wanted to go to trio, but they were moving locations at the time. This past trip to Minneapolis, I realized they were open again and was finally able to go. I can’t even describe how amazing my experience was! The menu had so many options and was so unique. I love to tell animal eaters that I like to eat dirty vegan food and not just vegetables, and that is definitely what it was! My partner and I ate so much so fast that I couldn’t even process my experience before it was over. I have never had such amazing plant based food. Even better than the food was the people working there. I have been to multiple plant based restaurants but I have never been able to truly feel the passion that the workers have like at trio. We were helped by a guy named Boston who was super personable and kind. We talked to him about the difference between the terms vegan and plant-based, and I could tell that the business genuinely cares about the impact they have on the community and the world. I wish that I could post pictures of my food, but I was too excited to eat it and forgot to take them like I usually do. I look forward to going, and hopefully seeing Boston again, and I would make the hour and a half trip just to do so. I highly recommend, especially since I was informed that it is the first black owned plant-based restaurant in Minneapolis. Thank you so much Trio!!!!“

“The food was delicious and the owner is very kind and attentive. Wonderful all around and inexpensive! We got the coconut curry chicken and shrimp, curry lamb, curry goat, and garlic naan, all I would highly recommend. The bathrooms are spacious with a changing table and outside the bathroom in the basement in a box is a prayer rug, both of which are inclusive and caring touches for a small family restaurant. “We held our company Christmas Party at their beautiful restaurant and had such a great time! The staff were so attentive and wonderful to interact with throughout the whole evening! We ordered an array of food and our employees couldn’t stop talking about how fantastic the prime rib and KFC (Korean fried cauliflower) were! The talk around the shop about this event and the delicious food went on for days! We all had such a great experience from start to finish. They made it so easy to plan, set up, host and tear down. We would highly recommend anyone looking to host a party to come here! Now if you are just looking for a bite to eat for a date night or family night out, they also have you covered. “They have great food with tons of vegan options and a wonderful patio! Today I ordered my favorite dish a roti wrap and it accidentally came with chicken instead of the vegan chickpea version. That’s never happened to me there before. They felt really bad about it and made me a new one and comped my meal and that of my friend. That is above and beyond an excellent customer service. “My daughter and I were out one weekend morning. I decided I wanted to try this new to us bakery. I will say this is a great place who has phenomenal pastries. We bought multiple items. Each and every one of these we're as good as the photos. The coffee is nice and hot and strong. Slight drawback was it was hard to get somebody's attention to get a refill on the coffee. We will definitely be back.“

“If you need your party catered, this is the place to go. Staff: Easy to work with, on time, good prices, friendly and very accommodating. Food: Gorgeous/amazing presentation , fresh, hot, professionally packed. I ordered from Red Rabbit in Saint Paul for my work holiday party. Everyone LOVED the food and the portions are generous. I was able to easily and beautifully display it. The timing was perfect and everything went smoother than I had hoped. This is your one stop shop for all of your party food needs. “I have been visiting Emily's since I was a kid. The food is authentic, fresh and of high quality. Portions have gotten smaller and prices are a bit high but as is at most places now. We went this last visit with a large group of 18 for a family birthday party, so we reserved the seating area upstairs. Our waiter was accommodating and friendly. We weren't able to get every order complete because they ran out of meat pies but they did substitute to our liking. One meal was missing but the charge was taken off the bill. We did end up staying half an hour past closing but the staff did not make us feel rushed or unwanted. We did apologize, thank them and tip accordingly. So with a few mistakes we made due just fine and I will always be a returning customer. Excellent food as always!“

“The meals are consistently fantastic. I’ve never had a bad meal at this restaurant over the last few years. The ingredients are high quality, fresh, and well prepared. The dishes come out delicious every time. It makes dining incredibly easy when I know I can choose anything on the menu and it will be great. The service is also incredible. Knowledgeable, prompt, and friendly staff. The dining and bar areas are equally beautiful in distinctive ways. Very pleasing to the eye. Zelo is a must try downtown, and if you do, it will become one of your go to restaurants for a nice night out.“
