“Stopped in for a late lunch on the patio. Was interested in a bitters & soda and the server recommended mixing the rhubarb and cardamom, which was delicious and refreshing. Followed that with the Chix Correa sandwich and a side salad. Wow! Really creative flavors and well-executed. Could tell everything was made from scratch and with high quality ingredients and care. Also the decor was fun and hip, the music top-notch, and the staff kind. I look forward to coming back soon!“

“On a bike ride off the Minnehaha Parkway, we happened upon Heathers on a warm end-of-summer day. We walked in and ordered a nice beer on tap and relished in their fresh-cut romantic flowers in vases on their outdoor patio tabletops.

The dilly ranch, savory and tantalizing, made the Blackened Salmon Dilly Ranch Salad, a delicate and sumptuous salad of gem lettuce, crunchy radish, fresh avocado and cucumber, sunflower seeds, and pickled onions.

The saucy sumptuous teriyaki made the Teriyaki Salmon Bowl, a piquant mouthfeel, a delight of bright green edamame, brilliant pink pickle onions, avocado, rice and fresh broccoli. Delicious!“

My biggest issue was the gentleman helping us had the dirtiest hands and fingernails I've seen in a long time. He was in charge of making our drinks and his hands were filthy. He did also forget one of our drinks.“

“This place is the “Cheers” of Lake Nokomis. The owners, Dennis and Mary, make you feel like family and remember everyone’s favorite drinks. The coffee, Nordic waffles, and Greek Chicken wrap, are personal favorites. Pastry choices include Kouign Ammans and chocolate croissants, also favorites. Every morning you’ll see the same group of retired guys, the baby play group, the old friends getting together, a few work meetings, and a couple of first dates. I love this place.“

The baristas were very warmly welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere was buzzing! Laughter, conversation. It was on the louder side on a Sunday morning so keep that in mind if you’re looking for someplace more subdued. There was a bit of a line but it moved quick. I got a light roast, black, and it was super savory if you can call it that—very drinkable, smooth, round with a ever-so-slight lean into the sourness of acidity, which I like. I wonder if it was their own brand of bean, which they carry. Overall, energizing vibes with the warm-colored walls, dark green mosaic tile, and vibrant Uptown clientele. I can’t wait to be back to try more of the menu and absorb the vibes here, whether it’s while working, meeting a friend, or just hanging out. I’m so glad to have them here in Uptown. “This is actually such a hidden gem. The employees were so incredibly sweet and were so accommodating when I asked for substitutions- just so friendly and quick. A little on the pricier side but a quaint hole in the wall off the beaten path. Their outside tables by the greenway has awesome aesthetic but I didn’t rate atmosphere because the interior isn’t to my tastes but still very cute if a little small. Can’t emphasize enough how nice and creative the staff were. There are such unique and interesting coffee combinations! Will definitely be coming back!“

“Really nice coffee shop with a well thought out layout. Has appropriate seating for many individuals as well as groups. Although I went here with a few friends I would enjoy going here to get some work done as well. The service was very quick and the people were very friendly which was a nice bonus. I ended up getting the regular latte which was pretty good as well as the chocolate chip cookie which was decent. My favorite part was the cup of seasonal drip coffee I got at the end which had a really nice flavor for those who like black coffee. Overall a really nice spot I just wish the location was a little bit easier to get access without a car. I almost forget to mention, there’s a ping pong table!“

“This place is not inexpensive; but the food is worth every single penny. It’s unique, it’s vegan, it’s delicious, and it’s healthy. The atmosphere is very comfortable. (although the music was a little bit loud for conversation). I shared the cauliflower tacos and hummus plate and we each had a glass of wine and took the yummy yummy yummy yummy yummy cheesecake home (the cheesecake seemed expensive at the time; but I will purchase it again and again. Every taste was Yum Yum Yum Yum.). a lot of times when I go out to eat I think; I could’ve saved money and just ate at home. However, I truly felt my money was well spent! The food was fresh. Very tasty. The arugula salad was phenomenal, even though it was very simple. I need to come back here way more often. Thank you very much for your dedication to healthy, tasty, vegan food. Also, their dedication to quality continues year after year. I think that’s wonderful.“

“They have good drinks, bakery and hot food is so-so, not the best. The only complaint I have is that it’s always cold/cold air blowing. Every seat feels cold, doesn’t matter if it’s farthest from the window, it’s cold. Hopefully they turn up the heat in the winter time“

My wife got the Tia’s Tumeric Latte (golden latte) and the vegan banana bread. I got the cardamom latte w. Almond milk with a gluten-free bagel. 10/10 Mocha Momma knows how to make a good espresso.

The owner is polite, friendly, and in general just a wonderful human being. We enjoyed our visit in the morning that we came back for a second coffee in the afternoon.
