“Great restaurant! Booked it in as a last minute birthday celebration. Had the avocado toast & added poached eggs on top. Loved the tent seating as I felt warm especially with Minnesota weather. Also ordered myself an iced latte, which was great. My sister had the seasonal French toast & loved them! Definitely recommend this as a quick, affordable brunch spot.“

“Stopped in for a late lunch on the patio. Was interested in a bitters & soda and the server recommended mixing the rhubarb and cardamom, which was delicious and refreshing. Followed that with the Chix Correa sandwich and a side salad. Wow! Really creative flavors and well-executed. Could tell everything was made from scratch and with high quality ingredients and care. Also the decor was fun and hip, the music top-notch, and the staff kind. I look forward to coming back soon!“

“This is an Ethiopian restaurant. There isn’t much English spoken here and there is no menu, but the staff and patrons are friendly. If you’re an adventurous eater, you might like it. The soup was delicious and the salad was fresh. I’m actually not sure what kind of meat was in my main dish. It was pretty good but a few of the bites were a little gamey tasting. The seasoning in the rice was good, and you get a generous portion, so you won’t leave hungry. The waiter rang me up for $17 which seemed a little high, but he hit “skip” on the tip screen, so I guess it was a fair price if you consider that the tip is “included”. If I go back I think I’ll just get two or three bowls of soup! ? Overall I’d give it 3.5 stars.

As a mom of a toddler, it can be really hard to expect my son to stay sitting while I try to enjoy a coffee with a friend but this place has incredible coffee and food, incredible customer service, and an amazing play area to let the kiddos roam while you enjoy time with a friend!! “This is a tiny place with big flavor! I had this oat milk gelato with espresso (affogato) and an egg sandwich on my 50th birthday to start the day and it was just the most wonderful way to kick it off!!! Do yourself a favor, and don’t wait like I did!“

“Beautiful spot. I spent the afternoon studying here and it quickly became one of my favorites spots. The inside is minimalistic with brutalist and industrial inspiration. The space is extremely clean and well kept. There are numerous outlets under the seats which are relatively comfortable and wooden. The tables might be my only complaint as they are quite small.. but adequate for most things. They play numerous records which Is quite unique and cool. The menu is small but all the items I tried were great. The pumpkin latte was recommended to me and was perfect and not too sweet. The entrance is located adjacent to the street in a small alley. They have one small gender neutral bathroom. Staff are kind and knowledgeable. I did not see a drinking fountain. Overall great spot!“

“I almost want to gate keep this shop - that’s how much I love it. The warmest service! Everytime I’ve went they have provided me with kind, genuine recommendations and explainations. They have unique lattes such as one with beetroot powder and even one protein. I haven’t seen options at other spots. I feel like I need protein in every coffee I have going forward. I didn’t feel jittery at all like I normally do. Life changing experience for real! They have special made empanadas by Boludo too, which are incredible. Other pastries I’ve seen in the case come from RMY patisserie. It’s not the biggest shop, but I’m so glad they are here.“

Although George Floyd square and the surrounding community have been impacted in so many ways, they have shown resilence and what it means to stand together. Bichota Cafe is a prime example of great leadership that have purposed in their hearts, that through all that has happened they believe something beautiful can be birthed. “My husband and I love this coffee shop! Very cute and local with parking. We love both of their mochas (white chocolate (iced noko) and the regular mocha). The price to size ratio is also very good! About $6.50 for a large iced mocha and it is definitely a decent size (and delicious).“
