“Found this little gem this morning with a friend and I think it’s my new go-to coffee shop with other moms when we have to bring our kiddos! As a mom of a toddler, it can be really hard to expect my son to stay sitting while I try to enjoy a coffee with a friend but this place has incredible coffee and food, incredible customer service, and an amazing play area to let the kiddos roam while you enjoy time with a friend!! Absolutely will be returning!“

“Stopped in for a late lunch on the patio. Was interested in a bitters & soda and the server recommended mixing the rhubarb and cardamom, which was delicious and refreshing. Followed that with the Chix Correa sandwich and a side salad. Wow! Really creative flavors and well-executed. Could tell everything was made from scratch and with high quality ingredients and care. Also the decor was fun and hip, the music top-notch, and the staff kind. I look forward to coming back soon!“

“On a bike ride off the Minnehaha Parkway, we happened upon Heathers on a warm end-of-summer day. We walked in and ordered a nice beer on tap and relished in their fresh-cut romantic flowers in vases on their outdoor patio tabletops.

The dilly ranch, savory and tantalizing, made the Blackened Salmon Dilly Ranch Salad, a delicate and sumptuous salad of gem lettuce, crunchy radish, fresh avocado and cucumber, sunflower seeds, and pickled onions.

The saucy sumptuous teriyaki made the Teriyaki Salmon Bowl, a piquant mouthfeel, a delight of bright green edamame, brilliant pink pickle onions, avocado, rice and fresh broccoli. Delicious!“

“What a breath of fresh air!! Way to get Uptown going again. So grateful for this innovative and yummy store carrying things from drinks and treats to skin care and toys. All affordable priced and interesting. The tea I had was stellar and just what I needed after a long walk. The staff were super nice and accommodating. I stop in as often as I can.“

“I didn’t think it was possible but I found what may be my favorite chai. The best part? I tried their apple cider chai drink and it was phenomenal. I had never had anything like that and it was so refreshing and crisp. I ordered it on ice but will have to come back and try it hot. The atmosphere was so comfortable and many people were there getting work done or just chilling. The worst part? I don’t live close enough to be there often but I’ll definitely stop by again when I’m next door getting my haircut in the future!“

“This is an Ethiopian restaurant. There isn’t much English spoken here and there is no menu, but the staff and patrons are friendly. If you’re an adventurous eater, you might like it. The soup was delicious and the salad was fresh. I’m actually not sure what kind of meat was in my main dish. It was pretty good but a few of the bites were a little gamey tasting. The seasoning in the rice was good, and you get a generous portion, so you won’t leave hungry. The waiter rang me up for $17 which seemed a little high, but he hit “skip” on the tip screen, so I guess it was a fair price if you consider that the tip is “included”. If I go back I think I’ll just get two or three bowls of soup! ? Overall I’d give it 3.5 stars.

“I have went to this place twice and already a favorite. The service is great. You are able to try two flavors I tried the mango strawberry sorbet the first time I went and that was the one . Absolutely loved it . The second time I went which was yesterday I had the ube vanilla and it was also great. You have the choice between a waffle cone or three different size cups which was nice.
I always do a cone. The seating area instead and out is beautiful. The outside though looks like a fairy house lol . Very whimsical. Overall this is a great stop in south Minneapolis. I’m sure I’ll be back soon.“

The bacon is crispy, the corn grilled which combine excellently with the avocado crema and pepitas and black beans to create a satisfying flavor and texture that is smoky, mouthwatering and fun to eat. “What a positively lovely space and place to get a delicious coffee 😊 Biking over on a sunny Sunday morning in November, my first visit here left a dazzling impression. The baristas were very warmly welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere was buzzing! Laughter, conversation. It was on the louder side on a Sunday morning so keep that in mind if you’re looking for someplace more subdued. There was a bit of a line but it moved quick. I got a light roast, black, and it was super savory if you can call it that—very drinkable, smooth, round with a ever-so-slight lean into the sourness of acidity, which I like. I wonder if it was their own brand of bean, which they carry. Overall, energizing vibes with the warm-colored walls, dark green mosaic tile, and vibrant Uptown clientele. I can’t wait to be back to try more of the menu and absorb the vibes here, whether it’s while working, meeting a friend, or just hanging out. I’m so glad to have them here in Uptown. “This is actually such a hidden gem. The employees were so incredibly sweet and were so accommodating when I asked for substitutions- just so friendly and quick. A little on the pricier side but a quaint hole in the wall off the beaten path. Their outside tables by the greenway has awesome aesthetic but I didn’t rate atmosphere because the interior isn’t to my tastes but still very cute if a little small. Can’t emphasize enough how nice and creative the staff were. There are such unique and interesting coffee combinations! Will definitely be coming back!“

Although George Floyd square and the surrounding community have been impacted in so many ways, they have shown resilence and what it means to stand together.
