“This is the place you go to to be around friends. The service is casual but so welcoming and fun. The owners are absolutely serving you and treat their guests with kindness, silliness and joy. This is my favorite place in the cities.Usually packed (for a reason), food is great, whiskey is better.“
“The blues music dive bar of Minneapolis! Good bar food, great service, friendly patrons. Have had some pretty grumpy bartenders in the past (YEARS ago) but no bad experience now. The renovations are great - feels more open and brighter inside.I'm a huge fan of bar "pork tenderloin" sandwiches and couldn't resist ordering one during my last visit. It was really just a deep fried pork chop on a bun. Very delicious but not an actual pork tenderloin.Note: it is very loud when the band plays, do not go for a date night and expect to carry a conversation.NA option: Heineken 0.0“
“Everything was awesome - the games the staff and price to get in was fair for unlimited old school gamingOnly thing I would complain about at all would be the failure to accept cash.I do understand that - it reduces the possibility of theft however - cash is still good for all debts and tender public and private and it is very uncool to not accept cash for goods and services.“
“Great restaurant/brewery in the North Loop neighborhood of Minneapolis. Parking can be a little difficult to come by, but usually you can find a meter on Washington Ave. Food is fast and delicious, as well as the beer and cocktails. We like the breakfast options and usually have a hard time deciding since there are so many good choices. It was busy on the Sunday morning that we were there so the wait staff took a little longer than was expected.Vegetarian options: Lots of optionsKid-friendliness: Definitely a place you can bring the kids to.“
“This is a neighborhood staple that I’ve been enjoying ever since I moved here. Great food with a changing specials menu and affordable drinks! Plus tons of history. The bartender Connie is the best and knows everyone by name. Even the bus boy (Andy?) is always keeping the space clean and inviting. It’s a must in the Old Town area!“
“Our server Aiden was awesome. Another server put together an ice pack for my daughter who was feeling pain from her braces. They really took care of us!Updated April 2024:Still good, we had Easter Sunday Brunch with a bunch of teenagers. The server handled that well!“
“Love when I walk into a restaurant and I can see and smell the history! What a charming little neighborhood spot. Was so pleasantly surprised to see that they have a separate room with pool tables and a few different games. Thank you tooties for not renovating your restaurant to look like every other modern restaurant in the US. Keep the charm, keep the old, keep the nostalgia!“
“This was the first time my friends and I ate here. We really enjoyed the experience. The food was great. My guests had Ahi Tuna Bowls and I had the Thai Rice Bowl. We all enjoyed our meals and they were reasonably priced. Great cocktail selection and Mocktail. We did not have any, but will be back in the evening to enjoy one of these. The server was good . The lunch crowd kept them hopping. Nice ambience.“
“I have been wanting to try this place and I’m really happy I was recently able to. The best part? Absolutely loved the atmosphere. Even the bathrooms are cute! It was a really clean place with super adorable dog themed decor. My food was also pretty good. I got the chicken tenders and French toast and I was happy with it. The worst part? Service was a tad slow. Our food took a bit to come out and the bathroom paper towel dispenser in the woman’s restroom wasn’t working but it was overall a good experience. I must also add that parking is not easy. Some got lucky and were able to find a spot right in front of the restaurant but a few of us had to park a block or two away. I was told there was a lot behind the restaurant but someone said they weren’t marked so they didn’t know it was for the restaurant but I’m not too sure about this.Parking: Hard to find. Not many spots open near the restaurant but I’m sure this depends on when you go. We went on a Sunday afternoon and we had a hard time finding spots.“
“AMAZING! My boyfriend & I had brunch here & were shocked to realize that this place had been just down the street for months & we had no idea, which is nuts because the food was AWESOME. Great atmosphere with cool artwork. Super delicious. I had the Ethiopian sampler & my boyfriend had the breakfast burrito. Both were outstanding. The drip coffee was great too! This is a great addition to the Seward neighborhood & I hope more people check this place out, because this restaurants needs to stay put!!!“
“Bacon Burbon chicken wings!! Heck yeah!! Had the Bleu burger and it was great!! Onions rings and sweet potato fries were awesome! No issues here! Go and enjoy! Alot of chatty guys just standind chatting when we were there. Kinda weird upiddy vibes from customers-@standing-? NOT the staff.“
“Cecil was our server and they were very attentive and had great recommendations! The happy hour options are very broad and inclusive to food and drinks. The gluten free, vegan, and vegetarian options are unique and delicious. The artichoke dip is very flavorful and having different things to dip was wondeful! There are quite a few different seating options, we love the firepit outside.“
“In town for the Big 10 Basketball tournament - stopped in for Breakfast on Saturday morning!Highly recommend the Corn Beef Hash! Also, go for the Sourdough toast - really good.Atmosphere is that of a true Dive Bar - which makes the food even better.“
“Came here for the first time last weekend and super glad I did! The bar itself is super cute, it has a very chill and cozy vibe to it. I ordered the sweet potato fries and my partner ordered the wings and elote. He absolute loved the wings and elote. The food came out very quick and was really hot and delicious. We would definitely return! Great bar to hang out .“
“We attended a private birthday party at Brazen. It was such a fun and private space to host a party. The perfect size for a birthday. The staff was very attentive. We loved the Sweet and Spicy goat cheese flatbread! I highly recommend Brazen for your next small event.“
“Great food and many choices. Place was full at lunchtime, but it seemed nicely quiet. Everyone was talking quietly. Good acoustics. Highly recommend.Parking: The place was full, including the bar. I found a place and my friend did too but they were the last spots.“
“Mackenzie(yes the server’s name was also that), was the best server we’ve had in Minneapolis. Super funny and just made the whole experience a lot better. The bar itself and the drinks are great too! Mackenzie made Minneapolis a lot more “
“Best place for food & drinks...great atmosphere. Our server was a trained & she did an excellent job. Always great food & excellent service.Parking: It was 1 pm when we met for lunch. Parking lot is always full. Had to wait for a spot as someone was leaving.not unusual. Notice they were also parking across the RR tracks at gas station.“
“The pizza is fantastic. They used to house Red's Savoy Pizza, and they kept the pizza kitchen equipment when Red's moved out. They have very good pizza options on the menu, and the ingredients/ construction of the pizza is well done. The bar is what you would expect at a VFW, and has a decent selection of beer on tap. Very friendly staff and atmosphere.“
“Their food is always absolutely delicious. Although we had a small issue with an item, Chef Don reached out to us and genuinely offered assistance. That type of customer service and care is rare to find, today. It is very much appreciated. We have not been to the restaurant, but have only ordered through delivery services, but we definitely plan to visit in person, now.“
“We decided to spend Spring Break in the Cities instead of somewhere warm and then a terrible blizzard hit. We ventured from our hotel to The Bulldog for a snack with our two tween/teen boys because we saw they had a kids menu. Our snacks and beer choices (for mom & dad) were great. We would have left with a perfectly pleased experience and been good. But the bartender who was solo and killin it found out we were going to a T’wolves game the next night. She is a huge fan and season ticket holder and when she found out our boys were fans she gave us an absolutely amazing hoodie that she had just scored. We asked her a bunch of times if she was sure and we left in disbelief of her kindness and generosity with a usually surly teen who is floored by her act. Thank you!!! I’m so sorry we didn’t get your name but we will never forget. ? ?“
“This place is so fun! It's a cozy little bar where you can pack in without feeling too cramped. There's always some sort of entertainment here: poker tournaments, live music, or just great people watching. The clientele truly is a mix of all types of people, old and young. They have menus in Spanish. It really feels like everyone is welcome. The staff is really nice and plays into the fun. After just a few visits, they started greeting me with my usual drink. As far as the food, they have a lot of classic bar fare, but the wings are the best! I've tried all the flavors and the lemon pepper dry rub are my favorite. If you can't find your own table, it's common to grab a seat at someone else's to eat your food. It's one of the only places in the area where the kitchen is open late- often till midnight. Thanks Cedar Inn!“
“I stopped in here while in the middle of a rail-bus transfer. Right away I was greeted by staff. There was a group circled around the bar but no where else. TVs everywhere. I was told there was a special that day: tomato-basil soup and grilled cheese sandwich at a reasonable price so I decided to try that. A tall glass of water with lots of ice they kept refilled. I was offered more food at one point but I can't eat that much these days. I took a tour around and found they had two Skee-ball machines in back. They do have a change machine. The juke box was ultra-modern. I found a bucket of bingo stampers on one table. Overall, I found this to be a super nice place and would stop here again.“
“Owner George will know you by name. Extremely supportive of local high school programs. Fantastic good. Much bigger portions than other area restaurants for the same price. Great value. Neighborhood bar. Many different theme nights. Supurb wait staff.Parking: Large strip mall parking lot. Surface parking.“
“They were very busy on Friday evening so there were 20-30 minute wait times for a table. We eventually ended up at a table inside that was in a super loud area. The host staff were able to switch us to a table by an open fire in their outside patio area. It was very nice out in the patio. As well as the fire there were overhead heaters. Not that many people out there, so not noisy at all. Our server Logan did a great job!“
“Very nice spot for huge portions of sandwiches and incredible sides. Fries and tots were excellent and an array of good sauces to go with. Highly recommend the jalapeño buffalo sauce and any of the roast beef sandwiches. Good selection of beers, and nice happy hour specials.Parking: Big parking lot behind the restaurant, separate spot for motorcycles“
“One of the best bars ever. Why? First of all: cleanest beer lines in the USA. Grain Belt Premium tastes like the cold fountain of youth.Also... Pool, popcorn, sports screens, amazing food (burger and fries are perfection). So cozy. Wood panel walls and bar. Love the servers. Love the patio. Classic historical bar. Truly the best“
“Definitely a diamond in the rough. The food was amazing! We got the duck bacon wantons, Philly Burger & fries, chips with hog chupcabra dip, chupacabra burger and sweet potatoe tots. Everything we had was spot on. The kitchen and menu is independently owned by the House of Gloor (HOG). I highly recommend checking this out. Can't wait to go back and try some other menu items.“
“I took my family to dinner Monday evening to Park Tavern celebrating my Daughters 34th Birthday. I knew everything would be delish as we have been coming to Park Tavern since 1998.?The Reuben is beyond.❤️❤️We ordered the cheese curds and boneless wings for appetizers. My Grandkids even ate all of their food which is rare. ?Family get togethers are a hit when I mention Park Tavern. I have never been disappointed with my food or service. I didnt win anything on pull tabs ? but hey cant win them all.Parking: Lots of parking.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly“
“A very fun and enjoyable experience at BarZia: the service was impeccable, the atmosphere vibrant, and the music was also phenomenal. I especially loved the choice of sauce and meringue. Spend an unforgettable night with very good energy. I also want to highlight Ivana, the bar tender who served us, she was exceptional, she provided us with friendly service and was very attentive and contributed significantly to the entire experience. I definitely want to go back!??“
“The Bulldog has my favorite wings and burger - the "Fear the Reaper" wings and "Stilton" burger are my favorites in the Twin Cities. The Reaper wings are the perfect balance of heat & flavor and the Stilton burger is full of flavor and heavy on the garlic. Oh, and when you get the burger make sure to get the cajun fries - baller combo.“
“First time here. Didn't even know where it was, hidden from the main roads. Dive bar atmosphere but I love dive bars. Nice menu selections. Pretty good beer selection. I had fish tacos, which isn't really a dive bar pick, but they were great. One of the people at our table had the chicken pot pie and it looked fabulous. Great server. I'm coming back here now that I know where it is. Hidden gem.“
“Great place right around corner from work. I had been following a strict diet and as soon as I told my waiter Chris I needed different meal options he was aware and knew what I would prefer on my salad and sandwich before I could tell him. I was not able to eat fried food but I was able to order the Walleye (Crowd favorite) grilled and it was delicious. Not too busy during the week, but probably a nice spot on game day or a downtown event. Will definitely be back!“
“This is my favorite non-fancy restaurant at 50th & France. The food is reliably good and the service is always friendly. I especially appreciate that the menu is so versatile, no matter what you are in the mood for, you can always find something to order!“
“Every dish is delicious and all the staff is wonderful!Vegetarian options: There's always vegetarian/vegan/gluten free options. Although not clearly listed in the menu. Just tell your server!Dietary restrictions: There's always dietary options. Although not clearly listed in the menu. Just tell your server!Kid-friendliness: They have at least 1 highchair in the dining room.“
“Fitz's menu isn't too big or too small. Everything I've ever ordered has been great. There are normally two or three soups a day. I've also noticed that the bar prices are easy to swallow. A fun reliable place to go for a meal.“
“Food is always good and usually great. Can't really go wrong with anything on the menu.Update 12/19/23: I went here for dinner and service was bad. It was embarrassing because I recommended it for our group. I think they are having issues with staffing. Food was ok, happy hour sliders were not worth it, apps were great (onion rings, cheese curds, and dill pickle fries), entrees were ok (French dip, and Cuban). This might be a sit at the bar only spot for me.“
“The staff are friendly and very nice, The baked potato I had was awesome. The grilled chicken was flavorful. The restaurant was nice and clean, which I liked a lot, they really take care of the dining area making sure the tables are clean/sweeping up crumbs. A great place to grab a bite to eat. The first time I went, the fries were overcooked and tasted terrible; Wont be trying the fries again!“
“I go to The Town Hall Tap frequently for happy hours. The drinks are good, the beer is excellent, and the food is above average for a bar. They do a nice job of having very attentive servers and a menu that offers gluten free options and some healthier alternatives as well. Go; you won't be disappointed.“
“We came before my grandson's football game. It was almost empty that early. Needless to say I got served right away. Good beer, decent selection. The Reuben Poppers are out of this world. My daughter's boyfriend asked if the food was any good. I said it is so far. He said why is it so cheap? He got a big wrap and fries, more than he could eat. He loved it and it was $12.95. The kids got a huge grilled cheese and fries. So much food two couldn't eat it. This is my second time here and it won't be my last. Good food and drinks and one block from US Bank Stadium? Doesn't get any better.“
“Dive bar feel. Chips and salsa were delicious with the cantina style chips and not too hot/spicy salsa as well as delicious cheese/queso dip too. Service was quick and friendly. Bathrooms were clean and accessible. Lots of drink and food options for a quick stop.“
“Love this spot so much. While it's attached to Masu it's totally different serving up American style foods eith Asian twists. The burger was delicious and the cocktails were outstanding. I really enjoy the decor and fun staff. Parking it tough in the area but street parking can be found or there are few pay lots around just make sure to plan. Entrance is on 4th street just east of Masu's . PS make sure to get the Secret Shot it's so good!“
“The Acadia on West Bank is finally OPEN AGAIN!The menu consist of only burgers and a chicken sandwich for entrees but some tasty apps. They are not open for lunch at this time which is a bummer as the menu is perfect for a quick lunch. The lighting always seems a bit too bright and the music can be excruciating in regards to the volume. It's under new ownership or management but my hopes are they prosper and maintain a much needed "local" space with.“
“Great place to stay - very cozy, modern, and rooms were fancy for the price you pay! STELLAR employees: Chelsea, Makeira, and Sue - who did a great job checking us in!! Made us feel welcome and gave us genuine attention! Kasam (our wonderful breakfast server) who made sure we had a great breakfast experience....thank you for a great stay!“
“Plums is retro, and I'm fine with this. A long time survivor in a diverse urban area, it offers a no frills refuge from upscale/pricey joints and artisan food boutiques. With dim lighting, and furnishings that are just a bit shabby, it's still a warm, comfortable place to get drink and food at very reasonable prices. They offer a wide range of beer and liquor, and the food is fine.....if unspectacular (Note: your fries are overcooked). You'll drink with a pleasant mix of locals, college kids and Summit Hill Elites, but the vibe is easygoing. I'm new to the Highland area, only been here 15 years, but this is my first choice for gettin' a beer and watching a game. I'm a fan of Plums. I recommend it.“
“Our first time here - and we WILL be back. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Food is surprisingly good for a small spot. Great atmosphere. We tried the Cajun dry rub wings. Highly recommend. The walleye special and Broadway burger were also delightful.“
“Went at 10:30 in the evening on a Wednesday, it was my first time there. The Big Mac Daddy was awesome, jucy, messy, and just all flavor. Fried pickles were great, and the wings were good, and the beer was cold. Our server was great, very funny. Our table was laughing quite a bit with her. It was a really good experience and exactly what I needed.“
