“The Meatloaf was exactly what I needed. I arrived without a reservation, but it was early...I was immediately seated. The wait staff was right on hand, and friendly. My Iced Tea was kept full, and flavorful! My dinner arrived very quickly. The gravy pulled the dish together with just enough tang and spice combined. Fresh Green Beans accompanied the potatoes, and frizzled onions. I splurged and topped off the meal with a small brownie sundae. The ice cream really hit the spot. Very nice place, bright, and energetic.“
“Kind of your traditional tex mex place. The food was fine. Classic endless bowl of chips with salsa. The queso was good. All dishes were served with rice and beans. Large menu, and lots a variations of same dishes between carnitas, pollo, pork and shrimp. Classic burrito, enchilada, chimmichanga, quesadilla, etc selectionsGood margaritas. “Food is very good, place is ok, never had bad service here. I recommend this place. Ambiance is a bar in the afternoon. IMHO, not really a "family restaurant", more of a meeting place for adults and business. Otherwise, as I mentioned, food is good!“
“This was the best meal I've ever had. I couldn't even understand how it was so good.It was the second time my husband and I have visited - the first time was great too. This time though, I got the filet and it was amazing. The asparagus was perfectly cooked. My husband realized at the end that he cut his whole filet with his butter knife! We got the Caramel Gelato at the end and I was thinking "this better be something special for $9.....". Oh my gosh. It was. I can't even express how wonderful it was - so so smooth and concentrated with flavor (the perfect hint of salt at the end of each bite).She's a good one. Spendy... but worth it.“
“Came here last night for dinner with 2 friends, I had the pan fried Walleye which was INCREDIBLE! We also had mashed potatoes (I don't think I've ever had mashed potatoes this good, no idea what they do to them but it was so hard not to eat them all!) We also shared Brussel sprouts which were 10/10 and I VERY much enjoyed my Maple old fashioned! This was a fantastic meal!“
“Food was excellent and service was great. We had our food within 10-15m of ordering. I had the flaming fajita and it was hands down one of the top 3 all-time best fajitas I’ve ever tasted. The wife had enchiladas and my son had mac and cheese with fries (bless his heart). We will definitely eat there again.“
“Decided to go check this place out yesterday before they closed for the season and it was a good idea the service was great really friendly and fast I really like how everyone help each other but it was really uncomfortable when the bartender started swearing when there's like a lot of kids around, it made my wife feel uncomfortable otherwise great place to enjoy some drinks, I'm totally going back next season“

The chicken was good but the Alfredo sauce was missing the cream, the garlic and the Parmigiano.I basically has a lightly seasoned butter sauce; I even had my wife try it to get her opinion. Her pasta dinner also was bland.It's possible that Axel's may Excell as a Steak and Seafood house but pasta is definitely Not their strongest meal choice.“
“First time customer ordered takeout boil. Not a lot of seating inside and they were pretty busy on a weekday afternoon. The people working there seemed happy and were all smiles. I ordered the peeled shrimp, head on shrimp and Cajun sausage with house seasoning, medium heat and extra sauce. The heat, seasoning and sauce were perfect, as were the shrimp, sausage, potatoes and corn. Be careful with extra sauce so none spills out of the tray while driving. Also be aware that if you like deveined shrimp you might as well get it peeled to begin with since the head on shrimp is not deveined. After it's been cooked you pretty much have to run the shrimp under water to devein it. Next time I'll get them all peeled. I'd recommend this place and will be back again.“
