“I don’t get crab as often as I’d like but Babii Cajun has RUINED me. I can’t go ANYWHERE in the twin cities and expect the same great service with the same great tasting boil. Love the sauces, the spice level, the FLAVOR. It’s such a great price that sometimes I’ll even grab one of their cocktails. My sister love the Babii spice (aka the lost spice girl) but I prefer level 2 or 3 spice depending on the day🔥it feels like a more elevated experience and I’ve loved the service every time I’ve been. I live about an hour and a half north of Duluth. If they brought this type of food up by us, they’d be a millionaire overnight nobody is making quality Vietnamese food.!!!!!!!!“

“The meals are consistently fantastic. I’ve never had a bad meal at this restaurant over the last few years. The ingredients are high quality, fresh, and well prepared. The dishes come out delicious every time. It makes dining incredibly easy when I know I can choose anything on the menu and it will be great. The service is also incredible. Knowledgeable, prompt, and friendly staff. The dining and bar areas are equally beautiful in distinctive ways. Very pleasing to the eye. Zelo is a must try downtown, and if you do, it will become one of your go to restaurants for a nice night out.“

“Really good well rounded hot pot BBQ place. Better than others in the area. Very loud, and chaotic at peak dining hours. I don't particularly agree with a tip surcharge (i think it was 18%?) For a table of two when your order is taken via iPad, and a robot brings it to your table, and you have to get your own sauces and sides and desserts etc... very little hospitality in this style of service for the need to add that charge.“

“Great small sushi and ramen shop. We got the stir fry ramen, steak ramen, spicy girl roll and dinosaur roll. All was delicious. I ordered my ramen spicy, which was the perfect amount of spice, just enough to make your nose run. The spicy girl roll was indeed pretty spicy. The dinosaur roll was my favorite, though both were good. Definitely recommend.“

“We stopped here on December 24th looking for fresh lutefisk and were pleased to find we could buy a 5lb filet. The lutefisk was amazing I was told and in the future we will be sure to call ahead and place the order. The manager was running back and forth with several options before we decided to just buy the 5lb filet. I can say I was amazed, they cooked it in the oven and when I returned that evening I could hardly smell anything other than the usual air fresheners we have in the house.

So thanks again for helping keep a Christmas tradition alive and hope the girls hockey team does great.“

Hot honey chicken quesadillas with the best French fries 🍟 ever. Also came with ketchup, sour cream, and a spicy avocado salsa. Hot and fresh and will definitely go back.“

“Someone at The Capital Grille must have read Will Guidara’s Unreasonable Hospitality, because this experience was such a perfect example of what it means to make people feel genuinely special.

In casual conversation, we mentioned that we were headed to a show at the Orpheum that evening and that we had gotten married three weeks earlier. That was it. We weren’t there celebrating our wedding or expecting any special recognition.

But they listened.

Before we knew it, little confetti hearts appeared on our table, and later they surprised us with a complimentary dessert, beautifully arranged on a tray to acknowledge our recent marriage.

They were small gestures, but that’s exactly what made them so meaningful. They noticed something personal, remembered it, and found a way to turn an ordinary dinner before a show into an experience that felt uniquely ours.

The food was fantastic, but what we’ll remember most is how they made us feel. Thoughtful, unexpected, personal hospitality like this is rare, and The Capital Grille absolutely nailed it.“

“We stumbled upon "Barwaqo" as it's now called when we were headed to the Electric Fetus for a book signing event; apparently this place changed hands about a month ago (Oct 2023) so previous reviews under the old Cala name are not relevant. We felt very welcomed by the owner and staff, and had an amazing dinner of Somali chicken and rice, sambusa, and the spinach dish which game with roasted goat and a fava bean soup with glutinous rice cakes. Everything was fresh and delicious and obviously made with a lot of care, and all of the food we got only came to about $45. We were thrilled to have randomly taken a chance on an unknown place and we will go back in the future. When we talked to the owner outside afterwards, I asked one of the staff what "barwaqo" means in Somali and he said "gift" but when I looked it up, it means "prosperity." Take a chance on this place at the corner of Clinton/Franklin instead of the Wendy's across the street!“

“My husband and I have dined at Clay Oven at least 20 times. Very nice ambience and great service. But the reason we keep going back is because of the food. We generally order some combination of chicken makhani or chicken tawa, shrimp coconut curry or shrimp korma, aloo gobi, palak tofu, and baingan bhartha, all medium spicy. And, of course, some garlic naan. We are very happy to live close to such an excellent Indian restaurant!“

“The other week, I was in the northern metro suburbs and started to get hungry. I drove past Sarna's Grill in Columbia Heights and, judging by the building's welcoming appearance, decided to park and give it a try (though I know that doesn't necessarily mean the food or service will be good).\n\nThat said, my decision was bolstered by the spacious, inviting interior, wide aisles, booths filled with couples and families, and the waitstaff delivering trays of appetizing food.\n\nA friendly waitperson greeted me at my table and offered me a menu with a variety of options, from burgers and salads to complete meals, including pasta and hot turkey or beef.\n\nI chose the BLT on artisan whole wheat with a side of coleslaw. It looked so tempting that I took a bite of half the sandwich before realizing I hadn't taken a picture of the food. What you see in the attached image is the mouth-watering inside of the delicious BLT.\n\nAs it turned out, I had an hour to kill. After finishing my meal, I asked if I could hang out for a while. The friendly waitperson said I could stay as long as I wanted and brought me a cup of coffee to pass the time.\n\nThat kindness made my day and earned her a nice tip. Plus, I promised to return the next time I'm in the neighborhood.“
