I wish every restaurant was based like this it’s clean very clean no fried food smell. No sticky floors or tables and the food tastes fresh like the oil was just changed out. If you go you will see the freshness in the food along with their customer service.“

“I have only heard about this place due to the club that opens there at 10, and decided to try the dinner menu with my mom. I was not disappointed! We both got a beverage, appetizer and an entree. There was a slight issue with one of the entrees and our server and manager took great care of us. Will highly recommend this to other friends and family!“

“We stopped here on December 24th looking for fresh lutefisk and were pleased to find we could buy a 5lb filet. The lutefisk was amazing I was told and in the future we will be sure to call ahead and place the order. The manager was running back and forth with several options before we decided to just buy the 5lb filet. I can say I was amazed, they cooked it in the oven and when I returned that evening I could hardly smell anything other than the usual air fresheners we have in the house.

So thanks again for helping keep a Christmas tradition alive and hope the girls hockey team does great.“

“We stumbled upon "Barwaqo" as it's now called when we were headed to the Electric Fetus for a book signing event; apparently this place changed hands about a month ago (Oct 2023) so previous reviews under the old Cala name are not relevant. We felt very welcomed by the owner and staff, and had an amazing dinner of Somali chicken and rice, sambusa, and the spinach dish which game with roasted goat and a fava bean soup with glutinous rice cakes. Everything was fresh and delicious and obviously made with a lot of care, and all of the food we got only came to about $45. We were thrilled to have randomly taken a chance on an unknown place and we will go back in the future. When we talked to the owner outside afterwards, I asked one of the staff what "barwaqo" means in Somali and he said "gift" but when I looked it up, it means "prosperity." Take a chance on this place at the corner of Clinton/Franklin instead of the Wendy's across the street!“

“The cashier was really friendly. I asked about the juices and which would be the sweetest and he let me try it first. Ended up loving it. The food was amazing ! Hot honey chicken quesadillas with the best French fries 🍟 ever. Also came with ketchup, sour cream, and a spicy avocado salsa. Hot and fresh and will definitely go back.“

“Awesome seafood shop. I guess it's probably pricey but I grew up near the coast so I'm probably used to cheaper prices anyway. Everything is quality and clearly curated very meticulously with a lot of passion for food. They have some pretty cool luxury items like otoro and King Crab.

The kitchen is the back has one of the best burgers in the cities. I can't speak for any of the other dishes because I always get the burger anyway.“

Zelo is a must try downtown, and if you do, it will become one of your go to restaurants for a nice night out.“

“Wow!!! Went here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and the customer service exceeded all of our expectations. We arrived to a beautifully decorated table filled rose petals, received complimentary champagne, appetizer, and dessert. We ordered the ceasar salad, shrimp cocktail, surf and turf (tenderloin with lobster tails), kona coffee coated steak, lobster mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes. The steaks were cooked to perfection (medium rare) and the other dishes were delicious! Our server was knowledgeable, attentive, and very welcoming. We look forward to not only coming back but bringing our family as well.“

“Well, you ruined me. I can never go out and get a ribeye at any other restaurant. I have one to two ribeyes a week at high end restaurants. Yours was supreme! There is no second place! The service was top notch from the hostess to the server to the expeditor to the table clean up. I only wished they were not 240 miles away!!“

“The other week, I was in the northern metro suburbs and started to get hungry. I drove past Sarna's Grill in Columbia Heights and, judging by the building's welcoming appearance, decided to park and give it a try (though I know that doesn't necessarily mean the food or service will be good).\n\nThat said, my decision was bolstered by the spacious, inviting interior, wide aisles, booths filled with couples and families, and the waitstaff delivering trays of appetizing food.\n\nA friendly waitperson greeted me at my table and offered me a menu with a variety of options, from burgers and salads to complete meals, including pasta and hot turkey or beef.\n\nI chose the BLT on artisan whole wheat with a side of coleslaw. It looked so tempting that I took a bite of half the sandwich before realizing I hadn't taken a picture of the food. What you see in the attached image is the mouth-watering inside of the delicious BLT.\n\nAs it turned out, I had an hour to kill. After finishing my meal, I asked if I could hang out for a while. The friendly waitperson said I could stay as long as I wanted and brought me a cup of coffee to pass the time.\n\nThat kindness made my day and earned her a nice tip. Plus, I promised to return the next time I'm in the neighborhood.“

“Delicious traditional Chinese, the fish in bean sauce was exceptional. The apps were standard fare for good Chinese establishments and the got and sour soup was chocked full of food ingredients and was delicious. A bit on the pricey side of Chinese resteraunts but we were not disappointed.“

“This is my favorite restaurant. Get the pupusas with consomme as a recommendation but I get something different every time and I love it all. my wife enjoys the flautas the most.“

I'm only giving 3 stars for service for today -we have always had Penny as our waitress and she is fabulous, so friendly, polite and fast. The gentleman that helped us today never filled our coffee or did anything after repeated requests for things. We will wait to be sat in Penny's area (she is amazing) or sit at the bar if there is room next visit.“

“I orginally ordered two grilled chicken tacos and one shredded beef taco, then I was still hungry so I ordered three additional grilled chicken tacos. The chicken meat was not very flavorful or hot, and the chicken meat seemed a bit chewy and tuff. The shredded beef taco was extremely greasy and gross. I only ate what i ordered that was served to out of respect and because I was extremely hungry. I ordered a ice water with a lemon with my meal, so there was no charge for that. Although when the bill came I was in shock to get a bill for $36 for six tacos with absolutely nothing else. I brought it to another staff members attention and he did a slight adjustment on my bill to make it $32 although that is still ridiculous for six tacos. I will never give this restaurant any business ever again and I am going to recommend all my colleagues,friends and associates don't give them any business either.“

The wild mushroom and spinach ravioli was delicious. The ribeye steak was very flavorful. Even the French fries were super tasty, crispy outside and tender inside. We had one of the best dining experiences we've had in a long time.“
