“I really enjoyed Sofra Kitchen. I ordered the Sofra Special Chicken Wrap with fries and a Turkish fruit tea. The food was very good, however, as someone who loves spicy food, I was a little disappointed that there wasn’t much of a kick to the wrap I ordered. I also ordered the pistachio and walnut baklava, which they served with fresh-brewed tea and a sugar cube. The baklava with the tea was a delicious end to the meal—and our waitress even gave us a second round of tea when we drank it all. The atmosphere of the restaurant was calm, and there were only a couple other people in the restaurant during the couple hours we were there. It was a Monday afternoon, though, which might explain the slowness. Overall, I recommend Sofra Kitchen to anyone wanting to get a taste of middle-eastern/mediterranean food, as there are many items on the menu, and you can probably find something to fit your taste.“

“We held our company Christmas Party at their beautiful restaurant and had such a great time! The staff were so attentive and wonderful to interact with throughout the whole evening! We ordered an array of food and our employees couldn’t stop talking about how fantastic the prime rib and KFC (Korean fried cauliflower) were! The talk around the shop about this event and the delicious food went on for days! We all had such a great experience from start to finish. They made it so easy to plan, set up, host and tear down. We would highly recommend anyone looking to host a party to come here! Now if you are just looking for a bite to eat for a date night or family night out, they also have you covered. “It's Taco Tuesday and I was craving Mexican food, but I didn't just wanna go to the type of place you think of when "Mexican" is brought up... I'm fancy, so I wanted something a bit more upscale. I did a little bit of research and wouldn't you know it... Colita came up. So here's how it went! Atmosphere/Appearance: Set south of downtown and a bit west of The Mall of America on Penn Avenue is this gem. There is no private parking lot, but plenty of street parking to leave your fly ride. But once you walk up to the restaurant you can immediately understand the message they're trying to send. Everything looks so modern, straightforward with straight lines, grey colors and light woods. There is a small outdoor section where you can dine if you get lucky enough to land a spot there. Inside carries a very similar style with a little nod to the pueblos and architecture of the southwest. The decor is minimalistic and the "loudest" thing in the room is the live plant wall seated directly behind the bar, which was super cool. Service: I can't remember who took care of us, but we had no issues whatsoever. Food/Drink: I was able to try so many different dishes and drinks here and the list is below... 🍹: Xochitl In Love 🍸: La Clandestina 🐟: Tuna Tostada 🌮: Chicken Tinga Tostada 🦪: Seared Scallops 🫓: Tlayuda 🥃: Colita Old Fashioned 🥩: Lamb Barbacoa Tacos 🫔: Duck Tamal However, my favorite things were the Lamb Barbacoa Tacos, Duck Tamal and Seared Scallops, in that order. The food here is phenomenal, the drinks are excellently crafted and things are served tapas style so you don't get too full off of just one thing! Order a whole bunch of stuff and share with the table! Value: As I mentioned earlier, I wanted upscale and the priced dddooo reflect that. Lol. This is a nice place so be prepared to spend... Like you're downtown somewhere. In conclusion, I loved this place and I will come back over and over. Check this place out the next time you're in the area!“

(although the music was a little bit loud for conversation). I shared the cauliflower tacos and hummus plate and we each had a glass of wine and took the yummy yummy yummy yummy yummy cheesecake home (the cheesecake seemed expensive at the time; but I will purchase it again and again. Every taste was Yum Yum Yum Yum.). a lot of times when I go out to eat I think; I could’ve saved money and just ate at home. However, I truly felt my money was well spent! The food was fresh. “Very no frills layout to the restaurant which I love because the focus stays on the incredible food. We tried several of the small plates and also an entree each. The service was fantastic, our server explained everything to us in detail and with enthusiasm which added to the excitement of the experience. The drinks were not only delicious but also very balanced. I would say that's a theme of the restaurant, great balance. I felt like the flavors for everything we had, from the charred shishito peppers with bonito flakes to the dungenous crab fettuccine, was very evenly balanced and everything complimented the other flavors well. This is definitely in the top 3 restaurants I've tried in Minneapolis so far. Highly recommended.“

They showed up on time, had pizzas out quickly and they were some of the best wood fire pizzas i’ve ever had! i cannot say enough good things about this business. We were a group of 4 and the restaurant has a family shareable experience with their entrees so we each got something different. We ordered the fried rice, French toast, wings and biscuits and gravy. It was super delicious! We also ordered drinks and my favorite part was that they serve a spoonful of their sticky rice as soon as you sit down. It was SO good that we raved about it and they brought us a second serving. The waitress was delightful and so kind. We had never been there for brunch so she did a wonderful job explaining the menu. We spent a few hours there eating and talking and we never felt rushed. The worst part? I don’t have really anything to add here. I’m not sure if I missed the parking lot but I found street parking easily. Prices are a little higher here but worth it in my opinion.“

When we stopped the sign was on but door locked as we were the first potential customers of the day...we waited and after about 5 minutes the door opened. We were glad we waited. The place is clean...the service ok...and the food amazing. My wife's lentil dish was the best Ethiopian food I've ever had. My beef dish was very good but hers was the winner! We will definitely recommend this place to others and will come back next time we are in the Cities.“
