“We stopped in by accident on a Friday night. The food is incredible. The cook really understands herbs and spices and is making everything from scratch. Not being familiar with Ethiopian food, we randomly ordered samosas, lamb tips, beets and lentils. Each dish was a mouthful of delight. The beets were my favorite and my friend who does not like beets loved this. Not at all convenient to my house, I will gladly drive for this food and sweet little restaurant.“

“We recently got married (October 2024) and Lake Elmo Inn catererd our wedding. It was absolutely AMAZING! We had the prime rib carving station and the walleye as well as the duck soup and salad. Our guests are still talking about the food. We decided to upgrade to the "LEI Experience" which means each of your guests get a warm hand towel, an intermezzo sorbet, and a chocolate covered strawberry!!! We were over the moon with the service on the night of the wedding and all our communication with LEI throughout the process. Special shoutout to Kayla G. who was the most patient, professional, and kind event manager! She answered every single one of my (many) questions and she did so with a smile! On the night of the wedding, we were SO impressed with how fast the servers were able to get to each of our guest tables and keep the flow going. It was seamless, seriously. We cannot recommend Lake Elmo Inn Catering enough. They've total pro's and just know that you'll be in good hands. Thank you again to everyone on the team for your hard work to make the dream come true!! <3“

“Of all the kbbq & hotpot place i had ever been to, this place is one of the best i ever had for now. If they keep their qualities or make it even better, im willing to bet this place will last longer than any other places. Services was also excellent I do not mind they charge the 15% auto gratuity (and i never like auto grstuity). I will be returning near future.“

“Our entire party of six raved about each and every meal. Ava, our waitress was exceptional, as was all the staff. Drinks and appetizers were excellent, dessert had us wanting more. Our group from Boston and Washington DC could not have been more impressed with every single aspect of the evening we spent at Acqua. Highly recommend.“

“Every single dish we had was phenomenal! We gave compliments to the chef on truly inspired creations. Our favorite may have been the Brussels sprouts, but we truly loved everything we tried. “Went in thinking it was going to be instant food but didn’t realize there was a wait. I asked how long of a wait and she said 25 minutes. I apologized and told her that I was in a bit of a hurry. She then said she could take my order and bring it to me right away and she did. I felt really bad but that was super sweet of her. If I could give more stars I would! Thank you!!!“

“We moved to St. Paul when I was a little kid over 40 years ago ago and my mom got a job as a nurse at the now long gone Mounds Park Hospital! My mom had to work nights a lot, and there was many many a night that we got takeout dinner from here! Years later as an adult I got my first apartment about half a mile from here and this was my number one craving during my first pregnancy. 10 more years later, I came back as a visiting professor at Metropolitan State University after moving to New England for school and I was thrilled to find Leo's was still standing. I am heading back to visit next month and I wanted to confirm if they were still here and I am thrilled to find out that you are! ❤️“

“It has been years since my wife and I have dined in at DC2. The hype after its first opening seems to have died down. Usually when asked about DC2's food, folks seem to have mixed reviews. So because we were around in the area yesterday, we decided to give it a try to see what has changed.The menu seems about the same, with a few less items. The biggest change is the prices, which definitely is dollars more than it use to. Understanding with economy/inflation, pricing up is eventually going to happen. But is it worth really spending about $5-$10 on dishes where you can go a few blocks over to Hmong Village for cheaper?We ordered the combination pad thai (big noodles), papaya salad (Thai med spicy), and hli xiab (fried pork with tamarind sauce). I was always a big fan of the pad thai sauce from DC2, which seems to be the same as I remember it. However, the noodles are a bit thicker, like chow fun noodles. It was soft, feels homemade, and paired very well with the sauce & meats. The papaya salad was not overly sauced, and tasted very fresh. It had just the right amount of spiciness, sweetness, and sourness for both my wife and I. The hli xiab was a dish we have not tried before, and did very much enjoy. You pick a choice of meat which is stir fried with a sweet tamarind sauce accompanied with bell peppers and onions. There is an option to add spiciness, which we did do. We chose pork which was first fried, then cooked with the sauce and veggies. If you love sweet like in orange chicken, then this is the dish for you!The service was great, much better then I remember it. We were seated immediately, and the waiter was attentive. They also have a call system button now which you can click to ask for something or add things too.Overall, I was very impressed with DC2 and will come again. To go back on my question, I would rather spend few more dollars here then go to Hmong Village.“

“Very professional, courteous & great employees. 1st time there my regular place is closed. They have excellent food. I will be back. Fast & reasonable priced. Great parking! Their chicken chow mein was like the old fashioned kind very flavorful! Love their egg rolls too! I will be a repeat customer. Very impressed with the guy who took my order over the phone! I am sure everything here is yummy!“
