“I was on lunch break was told food would be done in 10 minutes. waited 30. got back to work very late. To top it off the food was disgusting. I'm not sure if there was even a burger patty provided. what was om the sandwich was an over abundance of mayo and mustard like I guess I ordered a mustard and mayo sandwich. It was messy made the bun soggy and just all around gross. I was going to bring all my kidd back to eat and will NEVER EAR HERE AGAIN. A REFUND IS WANTED. 27 DOLLARS FOR 2 BURGERS 2 DRINKS AND 1 FRY AND THE PLAIN CHEESEBURGWR HAD ONIONS ON IT WASNT SUPPOSE TO. NEEDLESS TI SAY NO ONE ATE THEIR MEAL WE ORDERED ELSE WHERE AND I SUGGEST SKIPPING PAST THIS PLACE. NOT WORTH THE TIME IR MONEY WASTED.“

“The food is absolutely delicious! The burgers are huge and delicious, and quite well cooked. The barbecue sauce was tangy and delicious with the Gateway Burger. I was looking forward to trying the onion rings, but ended up not having room after the burger!
Some reviews have mentioned the service - the servers are not overenthusiastic in their greetings as other restaurants, but the service is damn good. They have a very subtle style of attentiveness, not always asking if you need something but noticing when you do, keeping an eye on you. They check in at the exact points - when the food hits the table, after two bites, and when your plate is just about done. There were two servers today and they were both multitasking and on top of all their tables, and their demeanor just happens to be more casual comfort. Definitely wouldn’t dock them any service points. If you do tend to prefer more enthusiastic service, it might not be the best match, but theirs is still a service style that will get you what you need.
I’m not currently living in STL, but will definitely be returning next time I’m in the city!“

“I go to the Shack at least once a month. I was there recently and received excellent food and service. Jennifer was great server, nothing was too much trouble. She helped move all of our coats and bags in order to change our seats. She was cheerful and helpful. I bring my out-of-town guests here often. The menu includes healthy,creative, delicious entrees, and as well as gluten free options.“

“Have been going here since I was a kid and to me this place will always be the best burger joint in town. Bacon chuck with cheese a curly fry and some cheddar cheese balls with a cherry coke , can't get any better just wish we could go back inside and sit down and eat because the atmosphere was the best!!!!!!! “We just went for the first time tonight & hate we’ve missed out on going sooner! We are from Southern Indiana & it’s going to be hard to find anything to compare at home! Greg, Louis, and Eddie who were working the smoker when we left were so nice, told us all the ins and outs of the place, and truly take pride in their work. That pride is reflected in the delicious meal you’ll get! 10/10 recommend!“

“First time at Mac’s tonight! We met Mac at the register and he was so kind and gave great suggestions! The food was delicious and while we are sad we didn’t get to try the onion dip (it was sold out!), we’ll definitely be back! The games to play at the table were a huge hit for our son. “The lady inside was SO NICE and personable. My fiance had gone in to get our food while I tended to our baby and he ended up getting my sandwich toasted. I can’t eat warm meat so I took it back in myself and explained to her about my issue and she fixed it no problem and didn’t argue at all even tho it was definitely our fault!
She said she has recently become full owner of the shop and she’s doing a fantastic job! Come support this small business!!!“

“I've been to the steak 'n shake numerous times and I've always had a pretty good service but the service that I had Thursday was outstanding in the afternoon the guy came to us and asked us of our food was hot enough and if there was enough french fries in the plates I had a bowl of chili with onions and he asked me if it was hot enough and make sure I want to crackers and came back and asked us if we were okay again afterwards just steak n shake does not take your order at the table and he made sure to take care of us I don't know who he was he was an older gentleman kind of balls I think he was the manager but excellent service and yes I will be back again“

“Pali grill is my favorite place to eat to lift my spirits. The decor in the restaurant is fun and beautiful, everyone working there is friendly and kind, everything on the menu is delicious (get. the. pali. sauce.). I truly can't decide if I like the chicken sandwich or the gyro more. They're both delicious. I tried the onion rings for the first time today and they were perfect. Favorite comfort food.“

“My first time there. we got it to go. It was a little above average, but not what it has been hyped up to be. My burger had hard edges, beyond crispy. Fries were hard and no salt. shake was the best part of the meal. $60 for three meals is way overpriced. And they initially packed the shakes in the sane bag as the hot food! I had them take them out and put into a drink carrier. Who puts cold and hot together? It is adequate, but I will not go back for those prices.“

“The quality of our local steak and shakes have significantly improved along with the staff. Much cleaner, tastes better, and even seems more filling than it used to. On top of that the new company policies like banning microwaves, beef tallow for their fried goods, and grass fed beef for the burgers. It went downhill a while ago but I can definitely say it has done a complete 360 and has honestly been one of our families favorite quick fast food locations now. Definitely better than McDonald's.“

“Seamus is always our go to place to take our 3 young kids. They even have newly updated kids menus that have plenty of kid aproved foods and come with drinks! The patio is perfect on a nice day. The buffalo chicken sandwich is gigantic and delicious and the ranch it comes with is worth the price alone- SO good! Their burgers are huge and really good as well. The servers are always nice and attentive and the beers are always cold.“

“Taste was on point hands down flavor profile of that bourbon bacon chicken sandwich is 🔥 but it’s tiny like smaller then a mcchicken at that clowns place with the big M outside. Oreo cookie funnel cake shake is the 💣 idk maybe it’s just me but o feel like I’d need at least 2 chicken sandwiches to equal the size of competitors pinnacle chicken sandwich.“

“I came by yesterday with a friend who had never been. I got a rib tip combo and potato salad. I ate some for lunch, went by a friend house, she ate some, ate for dinner and I will eat the rest for lunch. My friend couldn't stop talking about how fresh and food it was.“
