“I visited the Ferguson location today w a friend who will be moving away from STL shortly. We were both first time visitors. Cathy was cooking and the food was amazing. My friend had the Friday Special (catfish, shrimp, and wings) while I chose the Thursday special of wings and shrimp. Both dishes were perfectly executed, tasty, and not at all oily. 10/10. “First time! Gorgeous evening to sit on the patio. Patio ambiance was upscale casual.

Service: Server (Mackenzie) was perfect - personalized recommendations, quick turnaround on requests, always there when needed and invisible when not needed.

Starters and drinks: My only criticism of the meal is that our caesar dressing was not chilled (as though it had sat out before being poured) but the flavor was perfectly peppery and the romaine was crisp. Our drinks were an old fashioned (garnished with cherry & orange and made strong) and an espresso martini (3-bean garnish but not particularly strong).

Entrees: one filet mignon with asparagus (cooked to just the right an of crisp) and baked potato and one peppered salmon on rice. Both entrees were the highest quality, prepared to perfection; I suspect that anything on the menu would exceed expectations.

Service (continued): Teammate - name unknown - kept our waters topped off and discarded dishes cleared from the table without interrupting. Five stars.“

“The Avenue came highly recommended and lived up to its reputation. I joined my siblings for lunch here. The staff was friendly and attentive. The lunch menu was expansive and delicious. I recommend the pear cocktail and manhattan winter. W enjoyed the French on Mon soup, beet salad, penne with mushrooms, schnitzel sandwich, and classic creme bruise.“

“Joe K is one of the bigger breakfast restaurant's in the Alton area. A lot of seating, usually busy but not overly crowded. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Food is good with a few exceptional dishes like the breakfast pony. Breakfast pony is a biscuit with your choice of meat & egg, hash browns layered topped with sausage gravy. Delicious. Only gave a 4 star because the food came out cold.“

“Visiting from Atlanta, I stopped in at this little spot on Woodson Road and it did not disappoint. The building itself is colorful and hard to miss, with the Vienna Beef sign proudly up front—so you already know the hot dogs are going to be legit. I ordered a Chicago-style dog and it came out exactly how it should: poppy seed bun, loaded with onions, sport peppers, tomato, and a big crunchy pickle spear. Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. No ketchup in sight (as it should be).

Also tried the burger and fries—burger was juicy with that classic griddled flavor, and the fries were hot and crispy, served in a generous portion. They even hit that sweet spot where the fries stay crisp under ketchup.
Overall, this place gives you everything you want from a true hot dog and burger stand: quick service, affordable prices, and quality food that tastes homemade but with that old-school Chicago stand character. “This was me and my sister's first time eating here. The food was great the waitress was wonderful she took care of us very well. I got two catfish and fries with okra with a side of mac & Cheese. The only thing that I did not care for was the mac and cheese. It did not satisfy my taste buds. But everything else was immaculate. I even enjoyed the ice tea. Great place to go if you want to watch the games and enjoy a good meal.“

“My hubs and I were delighted, nay, in awe of the converted DQ, Miami Grill. On our trip visiting all of the Chop Suey restaurants in St. Louis, We stopped by the drive-thru of the Miami Grill, and it was divine. Incredible deals with the best Miami dry rub wings ever! The service was exquisite, they even delivered the food directly to the car. They added a WHOLE LOAF of white bread and a 2 liter bottle of strawberry soda. My boo was very impressed with the two dollar bill that was provided as change. Such a great place!“

It was my first time there and I was impressed with the food and DEFINITELY THE SERVICE! She said we were the largest group she's ever had. The Smash burgers with the fried egg were really good. The fries were on point (hot & crispy with the right amount of salt). Interestingly enough, the pizza was pretty darn good as well.“
