“Okay so the food is delicious plain and simple, the inside decor looks like a right wingers paradise however don't let that out you off, there literally is a sign saying if you wanna talk politics go to a bar. If I had any real complaints it's that the venue is small and I won't be able to bring all my friends at one time“

“We were in town (from the Twin Cities) for the 2025 President's Day Classic, and had Hogtown Smokehouse cater a team (and parents) dinner for 30 in our hotel. Rico was fantastic in helping us out. Quick to respond to calls and emails. Gracious, and just wonderful altogether... and that's just the service. The food? The empty pans, told the story. Brisket, Turkey and Pork for meats. Mac & cheese, potato salad and beans for sides. EVERYTHING was amazing! I never right reviews, but Rico and staff deserve this one. If you're reading this, don't hesitate to give them a try. Thanks again, Rico!“

“I have been a customer of Salt N Smoke for the past 4 years and always have had a wonderful experience, however this recent time with a nightmare to say the least... I ordered on 1/12/2022 around 8:45 PM via a Call-In on a Debit Card. What I ordered was (2) Bestie 2 Combos, one with Sweet Ribs and Smoked Wings sides were Sweet Potato Chips and Mac n Cheese, the 2nd Bestie 2 Combie was Ribs, Smoked wings and for the sides it was the Fries and the Mac N Cheese. Total for the Order was $41.72 Charged to VISA Debit Card Ending In (4360) I recently moved away to Iowa in the past 1 year so anytime I come into town in Saint Charles to see my parents which is often I always get Salt N Smoke in Saint Charles, MO I wish I could get it from Delmar if it was closer because I have never had a bad experience at that location ever, however Saint Charles is a different story. When I got to my parents I noticed all of the food was cold, not even slightly warm, I was really confused on how that was possible because I arrived at Salt N Smoke in Saint Charles before my order was finished. I ended up warming up both dinners because I did not want to waste food but still could not get myself to finish the meal mainly because there was something very wrong with the chicken almost like it was spoiled, my girlfriend was trying to be polite and ate everything to her regret, 1 day later she told me she had the worse stomach pain she has ever felt and it was so bad where we had to rush her to the E.R Hospital at Great River Health Center in Fort Madison, IA where we currently reside. After waiting 2 hours, doing blood tests and urine samples the doctor came to the conclusion that my girlfriend had gotten "Gastritis" which is a bad stomach inflammation which the doctor recommended it was caused from the poultry at the BBQ place she ate which was Salt N Smoke on Saint Charles... Tried to write them via Email no response, they will be hearing from my attorney.“

“This guy has the BEST BBQ IN TOWN!! He has mastered flavor and tenderness and his meat falls off the bone! All week long I went to doordash looking to place an order so imagine my disappointment when I discovered they are only open on the weekends! To the owner, Your meat is in such high demand it almost demand you be open throughout the week! Your food is delicious and I can’t wait till tomorrow to place my order early because you sold out today!! I highly recommend this restaurant for the best experience in what St Louis has to offer in BBQ!“

One of the two owners personally hosted the evening, even taking the time to refill drinks, which added a personal touch to the experience. The intimate setting, with only 14 guests at the table, made the event feel exclusive and cozy, allowing us to connect with fellow diners and share plenty of laughs. The menu was a delightful journey through Southern flavors, featuring cheesy jalapeño cornbread with hot honey, a hearty seafood and sausage gumbo, smoked chicken with grits and greens, and a decadent peach cobbler with bourbon butter pecan ice cream. Each dish was served in generous portions, ensuring no one left hungry. The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly, contributing to the warm and welcoming atmosphere. “Jody B was recommended to me by someone that I really trust I went there and I got my food and I got it home and it was the best rib tips and snoots I have ever had, the sauce was just perfect, the tenderness of the rib tips was awesome and I love the way they did their snootsI will definitely be back there to try everything that they have on their menu because the food is awesome that I had and the rest has to be just as equal, to everyone go try it out it's delicious!“

“Our first visit tonight, it won't be our last. My wife had the shrimp platter with fried pickles and onion rings. I had the Big Beef Daddy burger with jalapeño mac n cheese bites. The room was packed when we arrived (7pm on a Saturday) and we only had to wait 10 minutes. Everything about the place, the food, service, atmosphere (including live band) was exceptional. Big portions, great flavors. Can't wait to come back and work my way through the menu. This big fat guy is happily bringing half my dinner home for tomorrow's lunch.“

“What a neat little spot! The food was amazing, great portions, helluva price, and they have the nicest staff! Christine served our family, it was our first time here (we’re from out of town). Christine made sure our food came out quickly and correctly. She never let our drinks get less than half full. She checked to make sure the food was as delicious for us as it looked. Christine was attentive, kind, funny, and efficient. Lester’s, you’ve got a GEM of a worker on your hands. Much love to Christine! And love to the chefs in the back thy made our delicious lunch possible!! Will DEFINITELY be back when we’re back in town :)“
