“The French Dip was maybe not the best I've ever had. I'm sorry to say it - there was nothing really wrong but it was just okay. But our waiter made up for anything was was mildly lacking. Was his name Marquis or something like that. I'm SO sorry I didn't jot down the correct spelling. He was AMAZING - personable, handsome, efficient beyond words. The atmosphere and decor are wonderful. This was the first I had been since the name change and all was wonderful. Can't wait to return - hope I can get the same waiter“

“City Coffee House & Creperie is a great place to escape, the vibe is that of a hidden cafe. The food is always great, I love their lemon curd crepe, opted for the waffle this time to celebrate National Pancake Day (a waffle is just a pancake with cups to hold the syrup I’ve been told). You cannot go wrong with any selection on the board. Fresh ingredients and great staff!!“

“What a lovely coffee shop! I am from Boston & have a pretty high standard for a good latte and ambience, but I was obsessed with this place. There was literal tiny trees inside and a super cool old bank safe room with a beautiful painting. They had some seating and big windows that let the light in excellently. Would recommend“

“Great atmosphere! I love all the colors and the inspiring vibe. There are lots of seating options to choose from—whether you prefer a soft, cozy seat or a taller, bar-height spot. There’s even a workspace that’s super soothing.

I had my usual vanilla latte, and it was delicious—no complaints! It came in a glass instead of a mug, but that’s not a big deal. The music was awesome too. I didn’t even bother putting on my own playlist because it felt like they were already playing my favorite songs.

When I indulge, my absolute favorite is their lavender honey latte, the most soothing and relaxing drink I've ever savored. I adore their avocado toast, which may require a pinch of salt and pepper, but paired with eggs, sun-dried tomatoes, onions, and their other delectable options, it's a match made in heaven. Their breakfast sandwiches featuring herbal cream cheese are a game-changer - incredibly delicious and deserving of accompaniment with every order. The service is exceptionally friendly, kind, and welcoming, with the female owner being an absolute gem. When we walked in Josh was on it, made us feel we were “regulars”, like he new us personally and Stacey, the hostess that seated us, was equally as welcoming and we were seated promptly. I don’t believe we got our kind servers name, but the beautiful young lady was on it as well. The chefs/kitchen were on par as well, hubby had one of the eggs Benedict with a side of biscuit and gravy, I had the Ranchers beef salad, one of the best beef and blue cheese salads I’ve EVER had, and believe me, I’ve had a “few” 😋🤫😊 Hubs also loved the huge coffee mugs his coffee and my Kahluah/hot chocolate(yum on this damp chilly day)were served in…this where my only complaint would be, my mug was chipped along the rim 😅 All that said, it was just a fantastic way to start our Sunday. “Nearly always busy here, but the team works hard and is generally quite reasonable in getting the orders out. Kaldi’s coffee is definitely one of St. Louis’s top roasters. Brevé Latte - Yum! On my last visit I enjoyed a breakfast sandwich (bacon, egg, and cheese on an English muffin) and it was very delicious.

Parking: Parking is tricky... there's parking in front of the restaurant, but it's difficult to get in a spot without getting hit. Leaving was also a little scary because it's right off of Gravois, which is always busy and I scuffed the underside of my car leaving.“

“Got my shaken espresso early morning before work. Was early enough I was having trouble even remembering what my order was and I don't visit Starbucks very often. Doug was my cashier and the way he treated me I would think that man could guide anyone through any problem. I'm just standing there trying to order a sweet treat to fight the dead tired feeling inside and Doug leads me through the entire process with the customer service patience of an angel. Would trust Doug to teach an older person some technology and not have them get mad. 10/10 experience“
