We came for a late lunch (2pm) and enjoyed the place to ourselves (besides one other couple). Service was amazing; Pranitha was the sweetest! We ordered two entrees. The servers surprised us by bringing out a small sample of three of their dips which were delicious. My favorite was the black bean dip — amazing.

We had both a Chicken Shawarma Sandwich and Beef Kofta Sandwich. We enjoyed both equally. Great flavors and tender meat. I wish they had more sauce on the sandwiches themselves, but the garlic sauce provided helped cut the dryness. The fries were crispy as well.

They have some unique and different options on their menu. I wish they had gyros. No frills, but a clean and quaint dining room. We would totally return, mostly due to the free appetizers and Pranitha’s service ;)“

“When I was traveling through St Louis, a friend introduced me to this place. The frozen custard is amazing and dare I say heavenly. So soft and creamy. It was a true treat. I love discovering and finding out about those wonderful neighborhood gems. I also liked that they had bench seats along one side of the parking lot underneath the trees for people to sit and contemplate the wonderfulness of life and Ted Dewes custard helps to get you into that space.“

“The Crossing Restaurant did a remarkable job the other evening when we dined there. We had impeccable service and outstanding food. I loved being able to do the four course meal with some of the specials. It was wonderful to see the dining room full in this well-established restaurant in the heart of Clayton. “I have been wanting to get here for several years, and we finally made it, tonight, to Anthonino's Taverna, a short distance from Rob's place. (Fun fact, this place has been spotlighted twice on Guy Fieri's Food Channel Show. I can now see why. 🥰) Well, I wish I had made it here sooner. But, that's behind us, and tonight was a delicious, and delightful night. Our waitress, Bailee, had the excellent insight to know it takes awhile to decide on a drink, and dinner choices. It doesn't matter if you read the menu online or not. Changes are always added. She gave us the grace to settle in for a few minutes. She gave us enough time to settle in so we could make our choices. Rob had a Kona Wave draft, and I had a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. Bailee brought us bread made, and baked on The Hill with great quality olive oil, and herbs for dipping. Rob ordered the lasagna, and I opted for the Tutti de Mare with seafood, garlic, butter, and olive oil. My dinner was delicious, and made with freshly made pasta, and a perfect mix of perfectly cooked wild caught seafood of mussels,shrimp, clams, and squid. Rob's lasagna also featured freshly made pasta sheets, Anthonino's red sauce, sausage, ricotta, and mozzarella cheese. I tasted it, and it's your pick here if you love lasagna. Homemade taste that brought me back to my grandmother's and my mother's tables. 🥰❤️ I also felt welcomed, and comfortable as soon as I walked through the door. “I go to the Shack at least once a month. I was there recently and received excellent food and service. Jennifer was great server, nothing was too much trouble. She helped move all of our coats and bags in order to change our seats. She was cheerful and helpful. I bring my out-of-town guests here often. The menu includes healthy,creative, delicious entrees, and as well as gluten free options.“

They also have gluten free imitation crab that is impossible to find anywhere else. The large burrito roll is enough for dinner and lunch the next day, so great value as well!“

When we walked in Josh was on it, made us feel we were “regulars”, like he new us personally and Stacey, the hostess that seated us, was equally as welcoming and we were seated promptly. I don’t believe we got our kind servers name, but the beautiful young lady was on it as well. The chefs/kitchen were on par as well, hubby had one of the eggs Benedict with a side of biscuit and gravy, I had the Ranchers beef salad, one of the best beef and blue cheese salads I’ve EVER had, and believe me, I’ve had a “few” 😋🤫😊 Hubs also loved the huge coffee mugs his coffee and my Kahluah/hot chocolate(yum on this damp chilly day)were served in…this where my only complaint would be, my mug was chipped along the rim 😅 All that said, it was just a fantastic way to start our Sunday. I'm not sure if there was even a burger patty provided. what was om the sandwich was an over abundance of mayo and mustard like I guess I ordered a mustard and mayo sandwich. It was messy made the bun soggy and just all around gross. I was going to bring all my kidd back to eat and will NEVER EAR HERE AGAIN. A REFUND IS WANTED. 27 DOLLARS FOR 2 BURGERS 2 DRINKS AND 1 FRY AND THE PLAIN CHEESEBURGWR HAD ONIONS ON IT WASNT SUPPOSE TO. “We had a party of 6 on Saturday night. Great service. Outstanding food had by everyone. A few in the party ordered the Lasagna after they were out of Ossobuco. They loved the Lasagna, the Chicken Risotto was one of the best I ever had, although I modified it by adding mushrooms. We did start out with appetizers and the Roasted Wild Mushroom app and Toasted Ravoli were incredible. Highly recommend this place.“

I couldn't wait to get to this place. 5 Star Burgers - Clayton Last time i had the Bison burger and it has been in my memory ever since. I understand this location also won the best burger award last month. Think they might be in line for another one. Today i got the 5 Star Burger, Fries N Shake. They put a toasted marshmallow in the shake. I never had a toasted marshmallow before so that was a very nice addition and gave them some points on the wow factor. The burger is presented as what i would call a craft burger. The fries we salted nice and came straight out of the grease to my table. I do wish there was more shake but i find any reason to take points off for that. Liz was so wonderful, customer service was above and beyond!!!! Cant wait to get back here...

“I am pleased with my experience at Wasabi. Jae was my server, she was on it. It was Wednesday night, she was by herself but she was perfect. Seriously. My only comment is that the miso tasted weird? They had mushrooms in it which I usually like, so not quite sure what it was. It tasted like it was made with heavy mineral water. Everything else was phenomenal. The edamame was perfectly cooked. The poke bowl portion was great, each ingredient well balanced. The crazy roll was refreshing and very well done. All of the fish was very fresh. Parking is okay, there's a parking garage near by.“

“Favazza’s is a well-known and respected Italian spot on “The Hill”, St. Louis’ Italian Neighborhood filled with old delis, charming markets and upscale Italian restaurants. Our extended family is a big fan of Favazza’s, so we go from time to time with them. We went last week with my Aunt & Uncle, and it was great. The dining room(s) are charming, but getting a bit dated, in all honesty. Since it’s on “The Hill”, it’s not necessarily an issue, but in any other neighborhood, I think others would agree with me that it needs some sprucing up. Regardless, the ambiance has a fancy and classy feel to it. The service we had was fine. Everyone is dressed up and respectful, but sometimes the service lacks personality at these places because they’re so worried about being “ritzy”. This is the case we had last week. Regardless, also a fine experience in this category. The food was DELICIOUS last week. We started with the Toasted Ravioli. You can tell it’s the real-deal — the filling is excellent. Our entrees were also phenomenal. I got the Chicken Limone and it was tangy and luscious. Genuinely one of the best Italian dishes I’ve had before. The dinner salads, side pasta and phenomenal garlic bread were an added bonus. Favazza’s may be older and their service may lack personality, but their food is nothing to scoff at. A very solid 4 Stars from me.“
