The wings are the best I've ever had, the beer is cold and the live music is great. What really makes me happy is the age of the patrons who frequent this establishment, 40-50 years old, not the younger crowd, my wife and I are regulars at the North Oak location“

“Going on 4 years and this place just gets better and better! While you can always find entertainment here the service stays on point! Very attentive. The outside patio is beautiful and gives some space while you eat. We love the lamb and wygau beef burgers. My kids eat the pizza and wings while I enjoy their yummy cocktails! From burgers to nachos and eveything in between you'll feel like you ate anywhere but a bar. Just make sure to get a side of ranch for yourself! Gaels is constantly helping organizations in the community with fundraising and support! A true beacon in kc!“

“🚨GUACAMOLE CHANGE! We’ve been coming to Ponaks for 30 years. The guacamole has aways been one of our favorites. Today we ordered it and immediately noticed something was different. We asked the server and he confirmed that they have changed their recipe, and it’s for the worst. They’ve added “filler” by putting pico and other ingredients into it. It’s not even close to what it was. I hope they don’t start changing their food and Margaritas!!! There is a reason people keep coming back year after year! Please dont mess with perfection Ponaks!“

“This place has been on our list for quite some time to visit, well we finally made it here today. We were the first ones in when they opened the doors at 4pm. Andi was our server, and she was incredible from start to finish. We started with an order of the original wings and ordered a 39th Street pizza. The wings were possibly some of the best I've ever had, the sauce was phenomenal. The pizza was also outstanding (the crust, the sauce and the toppings). We are already looking forward to our next vist and will bring along some friends to join us next time. Everything was OUTSTANDING!!!“

“The food was great but I wouldn’t come here on an evening of you want good service. My husband and I did a tasting tour near by and wanted something to eat before we headed back to the Air BnB. Immediately you could tell how the experience was going to be when we didn’t order drinks right away and didn’t see our server again for about 15 minutes. She was very obviously more interested in paying more attention to customers that ordered drinks right away. She didn’t give her name otherwise I would I mention here. We only got one water and she didn’t come back to us again. We went to go to the hostess to try to pay our bill, ended up stopping her as she was leaving the bar. I give 2 stars out of 5. That’s only because the food was really good. I don’t think I would come back here. Maybe during the day would be better but I don’t know if I’d come here again anyway.“

“Called ahead to make sure the patio was dog friendly. Catered to us and out dog so well! Food (Teriyaki salmon bowl and Baja tacos with blacked shrimp) was great so was the spicy bloody mary and beer (on Pubpass!). Nice cold water for the pup! Would return 😀“

“Played sand volleyball here for the first time for a fundraiser tournament. Was impressed with how organized they were. Love that they water down the sand when it's getting too hot.
The option for food and drinks at the bar is nice! And their rates to host a tournament are super reasonable!“

“The night we walked in, this place was dead. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our visit, and the underwhelmed bartender was right there ready to fill our glasses. I like the look and feel of this place, but wonder why it was so dead when the place next door was packed (and too loud for my taste).“

“Came here as part of a St Patrick's Day bar crawl. Kind of a neat place, but looks very run-down and dirty. They have arcade games, pool tables and just one single bar. The bar as a whole was packed so the line for a drink was pretty long. The bathrooms were very dirty and had a lot of broken items in them. Made me feel like I needed a shower after stepping inside. It's a cool bar so I do recommend it, but maybe after they've cleaned and not when there are like 150 people in there.“

“We got to enjoy this stop because of the the Pubpass and so glad we did! They had a front patio we could enjoy with our pup. Service was great. She was super patient with us, as it was our first time eating there. So disappointed they were out of impossible dogs, but what we got was superb! The Cajun Mac was delicious lots of well seasoned creamy sauce and since it was Wednesdays I got it for $3 off! The grilled Samlon was great and the Teriyaki was delicious. We were happy to be on the patio though as there was a odd smell (maybe a sewage problem).“

“I like to come on Wednesdays for Friendsday and this week I hauled ass to get there before 7:00. To my dismay Caleb was nowhere in sight and it sounds like he may have been 85'ed which is unfortunate because he's literally the only reason I rally on a school night. I love Brickhouse.
