New American Restaurants near Maryland Heights, MO

“Typical bar & grill, with a relatively small bar space but large interior dining spaces plus a small patio near traffic along Dorsett Road. During our latest visit, there was an extremely loud Sunday evening football-watching crowd filling the bar whose shouts echoed through all of the dining spaces. My wife & I received very friendly and efficient table service from Kandice (one of two waitresses covering all tables), and she checked on us regularly. We each enjoyed our dinner choices from the extensive menu: Mushroom Double Smash Burger with fries for her, Prime Beef French Dip with au jus & tater tots for me. Portions were generous enough for us to take home leftovers. We will return to the Maryland Heights MillWoods in the future, with consideration of visiting when major sports events aren't being broadcast.“

“In town for a tournament for my daughter's hockey team and had a smashburger and a cold beer and let me tell you it was awesome! It is kind of pricey but you are paying for convenience. I don't mind paying extra money for quality food It was great“

“Our experience at Robin exceeded all expectations, from beginning to end. I was cautiously optimistic, particularly after reading an interview with the chef where he spoke about the intensity of the experience after the NYT recognition. It is clear that whatever rhythm may have been interrupted, it was definitely found in spades at our visit last night.

The service was excellent and our server provided some excellent advice on the menu that ended up being spot on. I was struggling to decide between two dishes and he took into account the heaviness/lightness of my other dishes, taste preference and the two preparations. It was much appreciated and well received.

The dirty martini was the best I’ve ever had. I had two and the second was just as good as the first.

We had both snacks and I am still dreaming about the Liver Corn Cookie. The play on sweet, salty, and textures was literal perfection. Everything was amazing, but that cookie was maybe my favorite bite at a restaurant. Ever.

We ordered the carrots, soup, dumplings, trout, mushrooms and pork steak. For dessert, I had the cheese plate and my husband ordered the ginger cake. There wasn’t a single miss. The skin on the trout was incredibly crispy and just divine. The carrots were lovely, the pork steak incredibly tender and the mushrooms were beautifully seasoned.

I cannot recommend this restaurant enough and can absolutely see myself at the bar on a random Wednesday, drinking martinis and begging for more of those cookies.“

“The Crossing Restaurant did a remarkable job the other evening when we dined there. We had impeccable service and outstanding food. I loved being able to do the four course meal with some of the specials. It was wonderful to see the dining room full in this well-established restaurant in the heart of Clayton. I remember being wowwed when I first dined at The Crossing 25 years ago and it is still just as fabulous! We cannot wait to return.“

“I had lunch at Halftime yesterday and the food was wonderful. The special of the day was a Smashburger, homemade chips and a salad. I also shared some southwest chicken rolls as an appetizer. The southwest chicken rolls are always great, but I really loved the Smashburger and homemade chips. The chips had a really tasty seasoning on them. Apparently, this meal was a special only and not on the everyday menu, but it should be. Everything was delicious and our server was great.“

When pulling into the parking lot, I was greeted by a darling building that was fresh and delightful. We each ordered our food, which I had previewed the menu ahead and decided on salmon and Mac n cheese. The salmon was cooked perfectly. It was tender and moist, which is important for salmon! The Mac n cheese was a little dry, but probably because we had a good conversation going and I may have waited too long to get to that. Lol I also had a fruit cup with fresh fruits. I should mention that I had a double chocolate almond brownie, that was tempting me at the ordering counter. 😜 The young lady at the order counter was very kind and helpful, especially since it was my first time. “I drove down to the Boind’ry last night ( June 10, 2022 ) for drinks and dinner and a great time because it’s not only an after work businessman v bar but a mix of wealthy and not so wealthy clientele and sadly it was closed with 4 or 5 guys sitting in the bar talking who I am assuming we’re the owners.Come on guys do NOT shut Boundry down forever because I can tell you better that anyone what made your restaurant / bar the “it spot” for so many years and standing room only most nights in the bar….it was the super cool bartenders like Bruce doing magic tricks and all the other cool bartenders and attractive wait staff that poured great drinks and bartenders were all very entertaining!A bartender can either make or break a bar environment!Any problems of lost customers can be directly attributed to losing colorful charismatic bartenders so hire some great bartenders and open again and word will spread like wildfire and the line of crowds will be down the block again waiting to get in!Some restaurants have free hors d’oeuvres or shrimp or taco bar but none of that matters! What does matter is your bartenders!Years ago at TGI Friday on Ellison Place they had the best bartenders in town doing juggling tricks with bottles the bartenders nickname was Psycho! LolWonderful memories … same for Boundry!So stop obsessing over the menu and get the best bartenders and friendliest and funny and attractive bartenders possible and the Biundry will be the now “it spot” again for another 20 years!“

“Me and my wife and friend came here last night we had outside seating which was great due to weather. My wife ordered the blue cheese burger my server said it was not on the menu but she made it happen. That's what I call perfect customer service at 100% will go back when ever I fly back from Jersey.“

“Wife and I decided to hit the easy button after walking nine holes and grab lunch at Ruthie’s. Had been years since I’d eaten there, and certainly delivered! Sat on the patio overlooking the 9th hole, and bartender came to take our drink and food orders. Had the 2nd Shift Brooligan, which was a great IPA. We split a toasted ravioli app and the Crush Burger. Ravs we’re good, burger was absolute fire. Fries were hot and crispy, the way they should be!

Vegetarian options: They have a Black bean burger for the veggie in your life.“

“I have been here countless times and they've never been open. Today, for a change, they were open and I was waiting here for an hour for a colleague on a delayed flight.

It's a simple bar and they do have a kitchen. We had a round of beers. Expensive beers. I don't quite understand how a tin of local beer is this costly. I could understand it if the place was on the other side of security, but Missouri Vineyards is groundside next to the ticket counters.

Oh, and they only accept credit cards for payment. The bartender who served us was nice. She does accept cash for tips.“

“All the waitstaff, even the hosts and dishwashers, do a great job under pressure, in odd weather conditions where they led us to evacuate, suggesting menu orders, and keeping the place clean, harmonious, and hospitable. The chefs could do a lot better in pricing the menu, adding seasoning and larger portions, as well as not removing the popular dishes from the menu. The interior design is also eerie because the huge butterfly graphics do not suit the vibe but again the service here is unmatched.“

“Sasha’s on DeMun delivers exactly what a neighborhood wine bar should: confident food, a thoughtful beverage list, and an easygoing patio vibe. The standout at my visit was the French dip—served on a crisp, well-toasted baguette with generously seasoned, tender roast beef. The au jus had real depth (beefy, not overly salty) and elevated every bite. Portion size was satisfying without being heavy, and the plating was tidy.

Service was attentive and professional—waters stayed full, pacing was relaxed, and the staff knew the menu. The patio is comfortable for a leisurely lunch, and the marble-topped tables add a touch of polish. If there’s a quibble, it’s that the sandwich could use a small side (greens or fries) to round out the plate, but the quality of the main more than compensates.

Overall, a reliable, classy spot for a casual meal or a glass of wine with elevated café fare. I’d happily return—especially for that French dip.“

“Celebrated our grandson's 11th birthday at Bugatti's. Sarah (I believe I'm correct) was our main waitress. When she found out it was a child's birthday she came with balloons to put on the table to make it festive. She gave us (a party of 9) a great table kind of off by itself. The food was served hot and was very good. They had special child sized steaks with fries. The wait staff was very patient and attentive and made us feel welcome even though with three 11 year olds it got a little boisterous at times. We enjoyed our food and birthday gathering. The staff at this restaurant went over and above for us, especially Michelle and one other server, I am sorry that I couldn’t see his name tag and I didn’t want to be rude.
