This place has been around forever (since 1977 I think) and for good reason. If you want a Chicago dog, this is the place to go. Also, the Maxwell Street Polish, the Signature Double Cheeseburger and the fries are great. I haven't tried the Italian Beef yet, but I'm confident I'll like that too. The inside is very small - I think there are 12 seats. And I wish it was open later than 5pm. But it is definitely worth a visit.

“I went to SA DQ just now. I was wanting $7 meal deal, which I've been seeing with multiple selections all 2 patty burgers. I got 1 patty. The menu board only showed 1 & girl said that's all there was - crispy onion. Then why are there others advertised? Anyway, I got burger w/lett, tom, must & ketchup. NO cheese, but I got cheese I didn't want. I was charged extra for lettuce & tomato. Most places chg you the difference of the drink & a shake. I was charged $3.99 for sm shake.. clearly not the difference. My $7 meal went to $12. Total ripoff!“

“The customer service, attention to details, and food that I received from the black taller young lady, the younger shorter young lady, and one of the cooks is top tier! These three went above and beyond and were extremely kind, patient, and professional (I am somewhat picky). The young black gentleman with braids needs some lessons in customer service as he comes across as rude every time - this was my third interaction with him. Because of the other three, I will return because the food has been consistently fresh. Thank you!“

“We come here once a month & have always had great food & service. Today we had a horrendous experience with an employee! My boyfriend found a hair underneath his chicken & fries, he took it up to the counter & told the guy working the front counter. His response was, "What do you want me to do about it, I'm not the cook!!!!" We then asked him his name & for the manager, but he refused to give us his name or the manager. He proceeded to "mother f***" us even. Then starts in on another customer. I could not believe he treated us that way! He wouldn't give us his name so I took a photo of him. Completely disrespectful & Canes needs to get rid of any employee that treats their customers like that when the customer has a valid complaint like we did. We did call corporate so they will be looking into it. Shame on that kid!!!!“

“Came in exspecting hot just fine on some chicken fish gyros salad with the Chicago flavor maybe,since I am from Chicago,not only did Malik and family match the Chicago flavor swag.they made me feel like a family member coming over to have a family meal. “Saturday night. The three guys tonight were working they're tails off with the drive thru queued onto the highway but still served us in the restaurant with a smile and patience. In town from London, England with my wife and friends from St Louis. My first ever White Castle. I'd heard good things having seen it in TV in UK and wasn't disappointed. After a night in a bar drinking it was the perfect food before hitting the clubs. Tasty and delicious. I hope the manager reads this because your staff tonight deserve a raise. Thanks.“

“Could tell drive through lady was just having an off night we were there pretty late though so it is kinda to be expected she remained very friendly and professional she did messy up the order but tried over and over to correct it we assured and the manager that was standing close by it was not a big deal she had simply for got to ring in some milk shakes we assured them we could just come back through the drive through and order them when we was ready to eat them maybe 5 or 10 minutes later a knock on the window and it was the manger with two complimentary shakes the kind we had tried to order earlier and never received we gave them a tip and was very appreciative of the shakes (I don't diner at Lions Choice but it was a great experience“

Before that, I saw her greeting all the customers and she seemed to know some regular people by name. She was a ray of sunshine and made everything seem less. “This is one of the best White Castles that I have ever been to. The customer service here is definitely on point, as they will take your order in a timely fashion and the food is always fresh and hot along with tasting juuuuust right! The dining room is very clean and well kept, as any restaurant should be. The restrooms were 90% right, as zip could use a bit of freshening up, but I have no complaints. I'm sure as soon as the employees have time it will be done, because they stay really busy near downtown and the Busch stadium location here. Go Cardinals! Thank you to the owners and employees for doing an excellent job of running this business correctly! My bacon cheese sliders, large (44 ounces!) chocolate milkshakes, mozzarella cheese sticks, and breakfast sliders were always absolutely perfect as far as the menu and fresh fast food guidelines state. “I came here on my lunch break to grab a quick bite, I was immediately greeted at the speaker by Alan who you could tell was extremely pleasant and truly passionate about customer service and his career! I was treated like family during our 2 minute interaction. Once I arrived at the window the great customer service continued with Johnny! He was kind, efficient and quick! My food was ready by the time I pulled around and everything was hot, fresh and correct! Thank you so much to these two men for restoring for my faith in society! Four for Service. I was the one who ordered first but I was the last to receive the order. I had 2 orders already seating on the counter but the lady forgot to call my number.

Atmosphere is kinda uninviting because there's not enough space to hangout and dine in with friends. Also, the ceiling needs to be cleaned up. There are webs and dusts on the counter.“

“I don't have an opinion on recommending them or not BUT first time trying them today. wanted to order one of each special box. the white box with fries and chicken comes with a ton of ketchup and hot sauce on it. I asked if I would have the box without the ketchup and hot sauce. The lady responded with a quick no. she wasn't that friendly at all and just blah really. I didn't get why I couldn't get the 3 wings and fries in the box without stuff on it. she def wasn't welcoming at all. So I got two burger boxes a nd a fish. wanted more but the lady customer service almost made me not want to buy anything at all. The burger was okay, fries where fresh and hot, fish was okay. Main issue def is the customer service. There was alot of confusion with customers and alot of orders not fully done correct. miscommunication. yes they don't really answer their phone frl at all. Called twice before going and got nothing. Just had a couple questions. one and done for me. least I got a chance to try it.“
