“Staff here saved my butt. I forgot to pick up my order and they made sure I got it in time to get all my coworkers fed. The food is always top of the line at Honey Baked Ham, but here at Olivette? The service is what sets it apart. Thank you guys so much!!!!!“
“"From the moment I stepped into The Crossing in Clayton, I knew I was in for a remarkable dining experience. The exceptional service began with Sunny, who skillfully handled my reservation, and continued with David's warm welcome at the door. My server, Joshua, was simply outstanding, ensuring that my visit was nothing short of perfect. What truly set this experience apart was the meticulous attention to dietary restrictions for both me and my guests. It's rare to find a restaurant that genuinely cares and accommodates with such grace. The meal was unforgettable, leaving me talking about it for weeks. But the cherry on top was a chance encounter with Joseph on the sidewalk days later. His genuine follow-up about my experience showcased a level of care and knowledge that is unparalleled in the industry. The Crossing in Clayton is not just a restaurant; it's an experience where the staff goes above and beyond, making it a must-visit for anyone seeking culinary excellence and exceptional service."“
“This has been the most exceptional dining experience in a very long time. Me & my friend came in for a quick bite. We were greeted immediately & told to hang on a sec & it was literally a second. Mike the waiter was very attentive & took care to our almost every need. Chef’s kiss to Yellowbellly!“
“This is absolutely our favorite place for breakfast. The fresh bags are incredible and the gooey butter is out of this world. On a nice day we love sitting in their outside area. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for an authentic St Louis dining experience.“
“One of my most enjoyable restaurant experiences ever. The service was beyond exceptional. The food out of this World. I got the Reuben special. Mouth watering and I tried a Greek salad. Delicious, but the coconut cream pie was the icing on the cake. Great and reasonable pricing. Food presentation exceptional. Service prompt, attentive, and extremely polite and personable. Beautiful location and a super darling place to visit.“
“The owner Mike, was a delightful man and walked my boyfriend and I through his menu. We ended up sharing a full rack rib combo with a quarter pound of brisket and homemade applesauce topped with cinnamon. I've always been picky with BBQ because it's hard to find good ribs, but this place really was probably the best ribs I'd ever had. Not only were they "fall off the bone" but they were perfectly flavored with their apple butter BBQ glaze. They close early too sometimes due to selling out so make sure you go early!“
“Everything on the menu sounded delicious so the decision wasn't easy. I ended up getting the biscuits and gravy with hash browns and sausage links. And a standard mimosa.Others in our party got french toast and pancakes. The food arrived quickly and everything looked and tasted amazing. The owner was making the rounds while we waited and is genuinely friendly and caring of their customers. And the host kept us updated on our wait time and how soon a table would be available. It was extremely busy the Sunday morning we went so I would highly recommend their online reservation service, which we used. This will cut down the amount of time you'll spend hanging out inside before being seated. Also note that parking is extremely limited near the location. They do have a parking lot across Gravois, if you're brave enough to risk your life against South City drivers. I would suggest parking on a nearby side street and walking a bit. You'll need to walk off your food afterwards anyway.Parking: The parking lot across the street has plenty of parking. But gambling with your life against South City drivers is a risky bet.“
“First time here. We made reservations in advance and found parking to be convenient. The restaurant's décor was warm and inviting, with white subway tiles behind the bar and blue banquettes around the dining area. The bartender was really knowledgeable and offered excellent recommendations. For starters, we had blue crab gratin and hand-cut steak tar tar, both for $12. The crab was spicy and creamy, and the tar tar was presented alongside warm dollops of slow-cooked egg yolk. They were both gorgeous. Our main dish was gnocchi with lamb ragu and goat cheese, which cost $18. The creamy goat cheese was the ideal compliment to the lamb ragu, and the gnocchi had a nice soft center. The portions were just right, and we left feeling satisfied. Very positive atmosphere, friendly staff, delicious cocktails as well. If you want to seal a good day with a good mood, head here.“
“We were excited to try the Tavern tonight for the first time. We were a bit underwhelmed. I only got 3 scallops for a $45 entree (even Disney will give you 4 for the same price). Additionally, the fries and baked cookie had a burnt aftertaste from the oven. For $150, we thought it was significantly overpriced for what we got.“
“It’s been a while since I’ve eaten at Michael’s and honestly, I forgot what I was missing. Tonight’s dinner was incredible. We started off with toasted ravioli. They were delicious and the meat sauce was really flavorful. I ordered the filet mignon and it was cooked to perfection. I’m also a huge fan of the beer battered fries. The rest of our table ordered the gyro sandwich and gyro salad. Both were incredible-some of the best gyro meat I’ve ever had. The service was fast and friendly and I thought the prices were reasonable for the what had. I will definitely be back.“
“Five starts in every way! Adorable space, impeccable service, and delightful food and drink! I brought a friend and two older adults. We each had something different--biscuits and gravy, the stuffed French toast, and a burger. Everyone loved everything. We also had drinks. I love my gin and tonic and the black pepper and? Bloody Mary was delicious. I also took some sandwich cookies and some gooey butter cake home! Perfection! I can't wait to come back to the Blue Duck!“
“Great service and regulars with burgers that blow away many of the more mainstream competitors. Needless to say it is a bar with all that comes with that but don't let that sway you from tasting the simple but complex burges, pizza and cheezsteaks they cook up.Relaxing, fun atmosphere that could lean a bit more on the DB Cooper briefcase carrying suited criminal of lore.“
“Glad to see another place that helps people of all ages learn to cook. It's more than just a restaurant. It's a place to where people can learn how to cook, and if for some reason a restaurant or other place of employments wants their applications to think that the applicant is no older than 25 or 30, this way, through education, it's a way to make the applicant have more of a recent "schooling" on cooking. I was hoping that you could returning to dining in, but if the move to delivery or taking out has become permanent, we can see how people think it is so funny to play games with a dangerous virus as they believe it would only go away with a wave of a magic wand. I hope that I can someday stop in for a cup of coffee.“
“Food satisfaction is subjective. That said, I so appreciate the value and quality I get from King Grill. I am so glad they're in my town. I suggest you call ahead. My favorite and usual order is the rib eye sandwich. What a great value!“
“I tried their signature burger and it was absolutely delicious, with juicy patties and all the classic toppings. The onion rings were also a standout, perfectly crispy and flavorful. The service was prompt and efficient, making it easy to grab a quick meal on the go.While prices are affordable, the quality of the food is still top-notch.Chuck-A-Burger Drive-In Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone craving a taste of nostalgia and delicious burgers!“
“Really great food without all of the grease that you usually get with fried food. Not only do they have top notch chicken (probably the best in St Louis), but they also have really good fish and shrimp. They have frog legs! I haven't tried them yet but judging by their other food they're probably as exceptional as they look. They have good portions on the yummy sides, as well. The okra is prepared and cooked correctly- not slimy or greasy at all. The staff is super friendly and courteous. It's a nice atmosphere to dine in; adequate seating and eclectic decorations. Not fast food in quality and ambiance, but close to fast food speed getting your order.“
“It was a pleasant experience they were so professional and the food was amazing and that instagram video brought me out and from the looks of things it brought a lot of people out that peach juice tho? this most definitely my new wing spot?????????“
“The burgers and apps are very good. The fries are OK. The service was very friendly but a little slow. Plan for this to be a longer eating experience.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian patty could be subbed on all burgersDietary restrictions: Gluten free bun able to be subbed on all burgers.“
“I must have come on an off day, but my eggs Benedict was not good. The hollandaise was broken, and one of the eggs was undercooked. The sourdough bread was fantastic, and the cappuccino was delicious. The potatoes and salad on the side was fine. I would come back but get a different entree. The person next to me got pancakes and they looked delicious.“
“Wow! This place was soo cool. I found it via Google search for a good Cuban sandwich. I realized that I came here as a child when it was just a bar. The atmosphere is soo cool inside. The food is the best part though. The Cuban honestly did not impress me visually, but when I took a bite... oh my! The pork butt was soo good. My mom had the famous Picadilly fish. She wanted to try the Mayfair salad, but didn't want the whole salad so they made her a side salad with Mayfair dressing. They make this dressing in house and its amazing. I had a cup of Gumbo with my sandwich and it was soo good. I forgot to get a picture of it, but I have to believe it was homemade. I will definitely come back. You should come try it too.“
“I am VERY biased as I work at The Barn... but I think this place is the bomb! The only challenge we ever have is sometimes there is a wait.... but that is a wonderful problem to have for us... and ALSO we now have a waitlist that you can join online... so having to wait is soon to be a problem of the past!PRO TIP #1: When I am working on Sat & Sun as the host... say the code-phrase "I go Coo-Coo-for-Cocoa-Puffs" to me and I will move you to the front of the list!PRO TIP #2: "Rutti-Tutti-Fresh-And-Fruity" also works as the code-phrasePRO TIP #3: This DOES NOT work on anyone else at The Barn, just me!“
“0 a+ rating I would just say that everything was on time and it was hot prepared immaculately and on top of that you could get no better in service or privacy so if you want to instrument dinner with somebody that you care about deeply this would be the place to have it so a+ double a plus in my book“
“I had lunch a Beyond Sweet and I would highly recommend you stop by for a delicious meal. The owner, Dallas, was attentive to the patrons, the ambiance was nice, the staff is diverse, and the food was delicious. This is a different vibe for STL so go out and support this restaurant.“
“I could go on and on about how great the food is, but what really sets them apart is the service. Every person that I've run into appears to genuinely like working there. Just makes for an overall enjoyable experience and obvious that the owners treat them well. And the patrons benefit from that. So happy to have them in the neighborhood.“
“Last night , I spent hours searching for the best restaurants in St Louis and I stumbled upon this one. The reviews were amazing and let me tell you, the reviews were correct. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. We tried the bulgogi and rice bowl, the charred wings, and cheese fries. We also tried a peach shot, they didn’t taste strong but the results were. I normally don’t visit a restaurant more than once but I’ll be a repeat customer anytime that I’m in town. I also loved the customer service. The woman taking my order was very cheery and made me feel welcomed. Many of the customers are repeat customers that were also talkative and welcoming. I’ve been to hundreds of restaurants and this one is definitely in my top 5.“
“Great brunch place. I appreciate the table service which was excellent. The menu selection was varied and I was very pleased with my selection of half a salad and half of a sandwich.Wheelchair accessibility: Zero grade entry. Tables and accessible bathrooms.“
“Austin helped us out this time, and I have to say he gave some of the best service we've ever got at this location. He was attentive, funny, kind, and overall awesome. I hope anyone who comes here gets him as your server. Keep up the phenomenal work my guy!“
“The sandwich was really good and there was a lot of it. It cost a bit more than normal but there was a lot of it. The waitress was very nice and we got our food fast, even though the place was very busy. In short it was well worth the visit.“
“Turkey ribs were awesome. First time having them, great with sauce or without. Smoke was excellent. Potato salad was like my grandmas. I didn’t get the turkey tips because they were out, I assume that means those are good too. This is a humble smokehouse with good people. Highly recommend.“
“By far me and my husband’s favorite place to get food hands down. We have eaten here many times and i have had just about everything on the menu at this point and I have not been disappointed with a single thing. By far my favorite thing here is the ribeye dinner meal for the price it’s wonderful and extremely filling. Being open late on weekends has come in clutch many times when it’s late and don’t want to cook for myself.“
“Sitting here soaking it in. Equal parts joint, hole in the wall, neighborhood icon. Clearly the locals know. You know?!My food was spectacular. Had the special. Smoked Corned Beef Ruben. PHENOMENAL! I'm a foodie at heart. Easily the best Ruben sandwich I've ever, and I mean EVER had. Accompanied by a proper pint and some of the yummiest Mac n Cheese. I really hope this is what heaven's like. Lol.Missus had the loaded pork sandwich. Solid. I tried it. Honestly though I could have replicated that elsewhere. My only regret is not being able to get all Jedi with my food capacity so I could have eaten/tried more. Incentive to come back I guess.I have a mileage rating I sometimes employ. I would say HogTown Smokehouse is a 75 miler. That is... if you're within 75 miles you be a fool to not stop by and enjoy.Say hi to Madison (Madi) our bartender while you're there.Cheers“
“Celebrated our 36th anniversary here. We shared the shrimp ceviche, truffle fries and a bottle of champagne. I feasted on the salmon pad Thai while my husband had the Denver Waygu steak. A complementary flourless chocolate torte topped off a fantastic meal. David is the best server! Thank you for sharing our special evening with us!“
“We came to St.Louis for a little birthday getaway and I had to check out this place and it did not disappoint! We started with dinner (with reservations) on a Saturday night. We found street parking nearby and walked a short distance. We were greeted by our server Antonia not long after we arrived. My partner ordered a NA cocktail made with NA spirits and I had the “plum blossom” cocktail- literally was such a great cocktail I wanted to savor every sip.For appetizers we got the krab rangoon and hush puppies with the amazing vegan ranch sauce (we asked for more). All of the food came out in a timely manner by the friendly servers. The flavors were perfectly balanced and sauces paired well with them. For dinner he got the “smoked maitake mushrooms” dish and I got the “mushroom ravioli with brussel sprouts.”My dish was served hot and the crispy brussel sprouts went well with the creamy and savory ravioli. My partner had his eyes closed and ate the slowest I’d ever seen him eat- he savored every bite (and he’s an omnivore!)For dessert we got the cinnamon roll bread pudding that was served with a cute birthday candle. It was served with a rich warm chocolate sauce. We scraped our plates clean! Our server Antonia was sweet, attentive, and personable with our experience. This place is one of my favorite restaurants I have ever been to and my (omnivore) partner said that was one of the best dinners he’s ever had in a long time.“
“The Food was really good exceptional even better than I expected. The rice was fluffy not dry with bean sprouts onion green pepper and eggs I got special loaded with meat. The wings were on point and I will def be back. The service was fast and friendly and the food was served hot and fresh. It's a smallish front bout who cares the atmosphere was good and they are serious about their product. We will be back and we will bring friends“
“I’ll probably finish writing my novel because of Black Mountain. Perfect spot to relax and get some work done on a Sunday. It’s not a laptop spot per they don’t make it weird if it’s not too crowded. Great select of wines, great fries - feels like you’re in northern france or Belgium or even central west end at duffs or coffee cartel (iykyk)… extra bonus for the literal wood fire aromas soothing everyone’s soul“
“Damn this place is fantastic. Date night, girls night, friends night...the atmosphere is sexy, the food great, and there's never been a drink that a single person we've been with wasn't completely wowed by. We love "Yellowbelly" on its own (especially for large groups/business lunches)- Lazy Tiger is a great addition to the place.“
“The chicken is really good, especially Nashville Hot! I love their fries the most, but unfortunately when I order they are often undercooked. Sometimes the fries are too big and they get undercooked, as shown in the pic. Chicken is great, but sometimes a little too chewy. The staff is very nice and the pickup is usually ready right around the time it says it will be.“
“Our first time here and it was great! Our server Genesis was sweet, bubbly, and attentive. The food was fantastic! Had burrata salad (off menu special), the Tiger rolls, and brisket dipper. Other than the au jus being a little too salty (which is prob normal, I don’t like things that are too salty) would eat it all again it was so good! And the servings are huge, we have enough leftovers for two more meals. The cocktails were also terrific- it’s hard to find a Vieux Carré outside the French Quarter but they make a good one! Sazarac was also delicious. Will be recommending this place to others and will definitely be back!“
“Wow! I can't brag about this place enough. A friend & I came for Happy Hour. The wings have a delicious sweet & spicy sauce, the brussel sprouts are cooked to perfection, the deviled eggs are so tasty, the burgers are chef's kiss & their drinks are legit. Our service was 10/10! The atmosphere is cozy & welcoming.“
“We tried the popcorn chicken fries sprouts and the cauliflower. Everything was well seasoned and tasted great. Just wish the sides of veggies were offered in a half size. The cauliflower was very very well seasoned. They had a live band setting up. Hudai was the name of the band. They sounded good ?“
“So very glad this gem was suggested to us by a local! And we were very lucky to hit a quieter time in the afternoon following a lovey Botanical Garden visit. Such a unique twist of offerings and most, if not vegetarian already, could be adjusted to vegan and GF choices. The food was excellent, the mocktails delicious! A gorgeous outdoor patio with a most artistic fire pit to enjoy the S’mores dessert. I will be back as I can’t wait to try another menu choice!“
“I had a great experience at this spot! The food was absolutely delicious and staff were friendly. The owner is a humble, down to earth guy. He shared with us the care and precision that goes into finding and processing the best quality ingredients for customers, which blew me away. I would definitely recommend checking them out!“
“Just a heads up they do have a sign that says they can search you before entering. We came in a Saturday night and it was busy! They had two customers celebrating their birthday so the bar decorated the entire place! There is a DJ in a booth. There is a stage to dance. Outside there is two covered seating areas, fire pits and tons of room for at least fifty people. The bartenders were very nice. They made us lemon drops which were delicious. The atmosphere is very neat, laid back and fun. They promote for 35 and up for the "grown and sexy." It is a club feel.“
“This is not exactly a place to go for a meal . It's a place to go for a beer and if you get hungry, they offer some yummy choices to go with your drink. Small with some tables and a bar, pool table, a neighborhood stop with that Smokey bar ambiance. Menus at the table, ordering at the bar. Burgers, hot dogs, and some surprise choices on menu like hummus, falafel, chopped salad. Portions small, prices fairly reasonable, service friendly. I enjoyed a small salad with a requested change of falafel instead of chicken. No problem and tastey with a hot honey squirt on top.If you're in the area , a nice stop for a beer and a nosh.“
“The staff was really nice and inviting. I love how they create their raviolis where you can see them. You get 4 for $10 and you can try two different flavors so the price isn’t bad at allThe ravioli are stuffed to the max. I got the cheese ravs and the jalapeño popper ravs. Cheese ravs were yummy maybe a bit more seasoning needed on inside. The poppers were good and had a nice spice. I also got the maple pecan gooey butter cake rav. It was awesome! But definitely have some water on the side because it is sweet!“
“Another fantastic evening overall at TMH! We snagged the last Fish and Chips special thank goodness bc it's a new favorite you've got to try. The Salmon risotto special was delicious, as was the beet and butternut squash salad topped with salmon. Of course the Denver Wagyu was perfectly prepared. The bourbon smash is a must try. Addison, our server, is always delightful; the service at TMH keeps us coming back just as much as the food! Best place to eat and drink on Main Street!!“
“Was in St Louis for 4 days visiting a friend. We were trying to find a nice locals type place with a good selection of cocktails and good atmosphere. Thanks to Google we stumbled upon this place. It was nice just to sit the in the corner, have a drink, listen to quality music and play chess.“
“My parents and I always enjoy having dinner at Big Sky. The food and drinks are amazing. The service is always wonderful. Unfortunately, we had dinner reservations for Saturday evening. The restaurant was packed which was expected. Our server was triple seated and overwhelmed. Now as a former hostess I felt completely bad for the server. Also we were seated next to a loud group of guests. So my parents and I had a hard time making conversations with each other.“
“been coming here since I was a youngin' lol. I know of no other place in St Louis that even serves Vienna beef anymore so it's always a big tree whenever I get to enjoy a Chicago dog and some cheese fries from wolfies. my only criticism is I wish they'd stay open a little later, they usually close at 5 “
“I recently left a positive review for Fallon's, but my most recent experience was so good that I wanted to share again. When you order something here, you can tell there are no shortcuts. The salads are always fresh, and their homemade dressings stand out among St. Louis restaurants. The Reuben sandwich is generously stacked with corned beef, earning Fallon's a high rank for both quality and price. I tried a burger, and it was perfectly cooked and flavorful. Their variety of sides includes options like cottage cheese, coleslaw, onion rings, and, of course, fries. I particularly enjoy their pretzel and cheese appetizer; the pretzels are moist, and the cheese sauce is pretty good. The wings are also a safe bet--they're well-flavored and well-made. A friend ordered the corned beef and cabbage entree, and I was so impressed that I had to sample it. Dining here offers great value, and the service is always kind. I find myself coming back even more because I continue to be impressed with each visit.“
