“I came in with my family to celebrate my new job and everyone at chevys was extremely friendly. The manager Curtis congratulated me and checked on my table frequently. Our server Abby was also friendly and made sure the night went great. The food was perfect and everything. Would definitely come back!“

Then we had the 12oz Australian Wagyu, cooked to perfection and just about as good as Japanese Wagyu for a lot less. Served sliced and placed in the middle. We love Wagyu and this is a special dish. We were thrilled they had it tonight. We also had the pasta special, spinach tagliatelle with shrimp and scallops and a cheesy delicious sauce with bacon, almost like a carbonara. “This is one of our go to places and has been since they opened. Their cocktails are TOP NOTCH and their service is unlike any other. Their menu is always updated with fresh new cocktails and they often bring back some of the previous flavors which we always anxious await. “So glad this place exists in St. Charles! The frozen cocktails are delicious and strong. Narwhal's has the best drinks out of all the frozen cocktail places I have been to which includes places in Colorado, Florida, and other places in Missouri. The 40oz fishbowl is totally worth it! You keep the fishbowl and if you bring it back then you get $5 off refills. The staff is knowledgeable about the ingredients in the drinks like what type of alcohol is in them, etc. They also let you taste flavors before ordering them! “Wow! This place was soo cool. I found it via Google search for a good Cuban sandwich. I realized that I came here as a child when it was just a bar. The atmosphere is soo cool inside. The food is the best part though. The Cuban honestly did not impress me visually, but when I took a bite... oh my! The pork butt was soo good. My mom had the famous Picadilly fish. She wanted to try the Mayfair salad, but didn't want the whole salad so they made her a side salad with Mayfair dressing. They make this dressing in house and its amazing. I had a cup of Gumbo with my sandwich and it was soo good. I forgot to get a picture of it, but I have to believe it was homemade. I will definitely come back. You should come try it too.“

“Can be a little loud when they are busy. Food is good and you get lots, won't leave hungry.Parking: Depending on how busy they are, sometimes parking is not great. Restaurant shares parking with a convenience type store/sandwich shop, and I believe a laundromat around the corner.“

“Awesome place. Love the ambiance and decor. Came in for burgers last night and we weren't disappointed. The bar was rocking! To start, buffalo chicken dip and Fritos were a large portion for 2. Dip comes cold and was loaded with chicken. Super good. Felt like I was at a Super Bowl party- heck yeah. For entrees we got the melt with rosemary fries and the bacon jam burger with sweet potato fries. Both came out in record time, I'm not joking maybe 5-10 minutes from when we ordered. Best service ever. Both burgers were killer. Fresh, large portions, tons of flavor. The fries were both excellent as well- love the rosemary on the regular fries. The garlic aioli that the sweet potato fries come with is delicious. All around 10/10! Didn't try the drinks this time, but have heard good things so definitely will be back!“

“I have been to Off Track Saloon a few times and have never left in disappointment. They have the best fried chicken and catfish I have ever eaten. Everything that I have tasted is so flavorful!! They do a lot of business so at times mistakes are made but they are very far and few in between... And always corrected. Small with some tables and a bar, pool table, a neighborhood stop with that Smokey bar ambiance. Menus at the table, ordering at the bar. Burgers, hot dogs, and some surprise choices on menu like hummus, falafel, chopped salad. Portions small, prices fairly reasonable, service friendly. I enjoyed a small salad with a requested change of falafel instead of chicken. No problem and tastey with a hot honey squirt on top.If you're in the area , a nice stop for a beer and a nosh.“

“The basement speakeasy under Grand Spirits had a very eclectic layout and decor and a very chill vibe; minimalistic with great music. A perfect hangout spot. Very few tables, so reservations are needed on weekends for sure. Your reservation gets you about 90 minutes of time on busy weekends; longer if there aren't reservations behind you. Cocktails range from twists on old classics (Manhattan, Daquiri, Sazerac) to very inventive / experimental flavors and textures. We had the Tunnel Vision, Daiquiri, Kitchen Sink, Sazerac among others. We enjoyed everything we had. Service was attentive and informative as well. We did not try the food. Would definitely recommend.“

“I ordered tonight for carry out and there was a small hiccup (no biggie) with our order they called right away to fix it. Picked up our meatball sub, a Naples pizza, a create your own, and garlic bread. This food was delicious, I’ve never had such a amazing white pizza (no red sauce) in my life. The meatballs were so tender and my picky kid ate all but one! The garlic cheese bread didn’t last long here it’s as good as home made (maybe better). We will definitely return and recommend. I hope next time we can dine it, from what I saw they have a pretty large dining room that can accommodate a nice crowd. The employees were incredibly friendly and warm. “I’m giving everything five stars because the food and beer were good and the staff excellent, save one a-hole manager. Basically we were there on a busy running club night, and as a family of 4 having just arrived to St. Louis looking for dinner, we popped into Heavy Riff to give it a try. We waited in line with everyone else at the “front counter” and a lovely female bartender waited on us and let us know we could grab a table and then she’d help us on the side of the bar where it’d be less hectic for us to order (since we had kids in tow). This was very thoughtful and accommodating of her in the masses of young runners. We met her there and she offered great advice on what to order for kids (spice levels) and as a vegetarian. We were about halfway through ordering when Rick (I got his name later since he ruined the vibe of our experience) butted in and told her she was supposed to be taking orders at the front counter not side bar (about 4 feet away) and said she had to get back there. By his command she had to leave us hanging to wait for the “proper” bartender to take our order which was a few minutes later. He didn’t offer to help. Meanwhile as the staff was slammed with orders this Rick jerk just stood in the back and reined over the staff. He didn’t lift a finger. Even later when I went to settle the tab at the bar he stood at his throne position in the back scrolling, messaging on his phone. (Super unprofessional) I was standing right next to him and he didn’t ask if he could help me. I sure hope Rick isn’t the owner because if he is I would hope employees would quit. Rather, to the owner, it is time to find yourself a new manager as Rick is useless and frankly ruined the good energy we had going. I felt for the staff that had to deal with his power trip. Though we are staying fairly close by, we won’t be back.“

“Stan's is a fun little dive bar with a following of regulars during the week and karaoke/party folks on the weekend. Karaoke is often loud and jam packed, so choose your nights wisely if that's not what you're looking for. Otherwise they have cheap drinks, pool, basic snacks (chips etc.) to help soak up the booze or you can bring in real food. Can also be a chill spot to grab a drink in the early afternoon and catch a game and you'll often find Stan hanging out at one of the high tops with his people. As others have mentioned the bathroom set up is strange..2 toilets close together, separated by a wall with no stall doors - so if you want privacy double check that you've locked the door to the bathroom itself. There's also a cool little laundromat down the street, so if you time it right..well, you get the idea!!!“

This was formerly The Drinking Horn and they have preformed wonders inside/ It's clean , roomy with new tables plenty of TVs for sports viewing and the best bartenders around especially Ronnie! They have Trivia at 7:30 on Thursday evenings and Karaoke on Friday They pour a respectable drink , offer pizza for purchase or you can bring in outside food. “We stayed at the Cheshire hotel and were fortunate to have Basso on the premises! We met a friend here the first night of our stay. The restaurant is in the basement. The atmosphere was inviting with gas lit wall lights, a center bar with booths and high tops. Autumn was a wonderful server. She was so pleasant and informative. We really enjoyed having her as our server. Happy hour is from 4 to 6. We tried the fried meatballs, which were great. The lemon ravioli and the shrimp pasta dish were both delicious. Prices were reasonable. When you dine, the food taste and quality are top priority, but when the food is phenomenal and the service and atmosphere are just as good, it makes the experience memorable. We ended up returning on our second night! Julie was our server and we really enjoyed her, too. She was helpful and interested in our satisfaction! “Great bar with amazing service, drinks, and atmosphere! The design of the whole place is so unique and I have never been to a bar that has matched its charm or character. The food looked great too but I have yet to try any of their items, I will certainly be back to give it a go. From the super cool 100+yr old one lane bridge on the road in, to the money stapled to the ceiling, this place would be equally at home in places like New Orleans or Chicago. “We hosted a surprise birthday party for my fiancé at the Rec Hall's private room and it was a perfect space! The room was huge and even had its own outdoor portion for guests to use as well which we did not know about at first! The private room had ample table space for setting up food and tables/chairs/couches for guests to lounge and eat at along with its own private games as well. We really enjoyed using the two tvs to display a photo slideshow and a big bluetooth speaker to play music which were all provided already in the booking package. In addition to the private room being a great space for everyone, what really impressed my guests and I were how attentive and friendly the staff were! They attended to the guests for drinks constantly and helped us with setting up for the event as well as answering any questions we had at the time.
