All week long I went to doordash looking to place an order so imagine my disappointment when I discovered they are only open on the weekends! To the owner, Your meat is in such high demand it almost demand you be open throughout the week! Your food is delicious and I can’t wait till tomorrow to place my order early because you sold out today!! Ribs were tender but i was not blown away by them, sides were the same as well. Maybe it was bad Timing but this was a big let down. Consistency is the key to a good restaurant. “We were in town (from the Twin Cities) for the 2025 President's Day Classic, and had Hogtown Smokehouse cater a team (and parents) dinner for 30 in our hotel. Rico was fantastic in helping us out. Quick to respond to calls and emails. Gracious, and just wonderful altogether... and that's just the service. The food? The empty pans, told the story. Brisket, Turkey and Pork for meats. Mac & cheese, potato salad and beans for sides. EVERYTHING was amazing! I never right reviews, but Rico and staff deserve this one. If you're reading this, don't hesitate to give them a try. “I have been a customer of Salt N Smoke for the past 4 years and always have had a wonderful experience, however this recent time with a nightmare to say the least... I ordered on 1/12/2022 around 8:45 PM via a Call-In on a Debit Card. What I ordered was (2) Bestie 2 Combos, one with Sweet Ribs and Smoked Wings sides were Sweet Potato Chips and Mac n Cheese, the 2nd Bestie 2 Combie was Ribs, Smoked wings and for the sides it was the Fries and the Mac N Cheese. Total for the Order was $41.72 Charged to VISA Debit Card Ending In (4360) I recently moved away to Iowa in the past 1 year so anytime I come into town in Saint Charles to see my parents which is often I always get Salt N Smoke in Saint Charles, MO I wish I could get it from Delmar if it was closer because I have never had a bad experience at that location ever, however Saint Charles is a different story. When I got to my parents I noticed all of the food was cold, not even slightly warm, I was really confused on how that was possible because I arrived at Salt N Smoke in Saint Charles before my order was finished. I ended up warming up both dinners because I did not want to waste food but still could not get myself to finish the meal mainly because there was something very wrong with the chicken almost like it was spoiled, my girlfriend was trying to be polite and ate everything to her regret, 1 day later she told me she had the worse stomach pain she has ever felt and it was so bad where we had to rush her to the E.R Hospital at Great River Health Center in Fort Madison, IA where we currently reside. After waiting 2 hours, doing blood tests and urine samples the doctor came to the conclusion that my girlfriend had gotten "Gastritis" which is a bad stomach inflammation which the doctor recommended it was caused from the poultry at the BBQ place she ate which was Salt N Smoke on Saint Charles... Tried to write them via Email no response, they will be hearing from my attorney.“

“Went here for the snoot. Was the first customer on a Saturday at noon. Ordered the snoot and brisket combo. Both were hot and cooked perfectly. Snoot was crunchy but meaty and tasted fresh. Brisket tender and smoky. Sauce was great. Potato salad was actually good [everybody likes it different ways. :) ]. Portion was a little bigger than other bbq places I've been. Owners and Workers were so warm and friendly. Definitely a family/neighborhood shop type of atmosphere, just from observing the way the owners interact with all their guests. “The place is very unassuming on the corner. Went in and there was a half dozen of folks waiting and in line. Each order cam out and eyes lit up. My first time was great. A heavy plate of good rib tips, soft bread and great flavor and seasoning abound. We will be back. “Our first visit tonight, it won't be our last. My wife had the shrimp platter with fried pickles and onion rings. I had the Big Beef Daddy burger with jalapeño mac n cheese bites. The room was packed when we arrived (7pm on a Saturday) and we only had to wait 10 minutes. Everything about the place, the food, service, atmosphere (including live band) was exceptional. Big portions, great flavors. Can't wait to come back and work my way through the menu. This big fat guy is happily bringing half my dinner home for tomorrow's lunch.“
