“So I’d recommend Coy B Que but I was disappointed in my order today. I always get the tips sandwich. I was disappointed in the presentation this time. Usually the tips are chopped in a uniform manner and that’s how I like to enjoy them. This time it was just the tip meat pulled and I couldn’t tell if it was tip or not. My husband confirmed it was tip but just ripped apart. We didn’t care for that at all.“

“Got the brisket with sweet potato fries and pickles. My friend got the ribs and corn. Both were good, very tender. The sauce was also really nice (I tried all four and we really liked the spicy one the most).

The lineup was long when we got there but it was pretty quick, I think we had a 20-30 minute wait so not too bad (I once waited for an hour at a different BBQ place).

Placed our orders and food came out pretty quickly. The staff was really nice and recommended the sides (was not disappointed).

The inside had plenty of seating and had cool decorations, I think newspaper clippings or some articles lined the walls.

Overall, had a good experience and would definitely come back.“

Quick to respond to calls and emails. Gracious, and just wonderful altogether... and that's just the service. The food? The empty pans, told the story. Brisket, Turkey and Pork for meats. When I got to my parents I noticed all of the food was cold, not even slightly warm, I was really confused on how that was possible because I arrived at Salt N Smoke in Saint Charles before my order was finished. I ended up warming up both dinners because I did not want to waste food but still could not get myself to finish the meal mainly because there was something very wrong with the chicken almost like it was spoiled, my girlfriend was trying to be polite and ate everything to her regret, 1 day later she told me she had the worse stomach pain she has ever felt and it was so bad where we had to rush her to the E.R Hospital at Great River Health Center in Fort Madison, IA where we currently reside. After waiting 2 hours, doing blood tests and urine samples the doctor came to the conclusion that my girlfriend had gotten "Gastritis" which is a bad stomach inflammation which the doctor recommended it was caused from the poultry at the BBQ place she ate which was Salt N Smoke on Saint Charles... Tried to write them via Email no response, they will be hearing from my attorney.“

“Went there tonight with my family on Valentine’s Day, and yes, they were busy and yes, the waiters were behind and forgetting things, but their customer service and their urgency were on point; they were just young and trying their best. Not rude at all. I had the ribeye and loaded potato (delicious— my ribeye was very fatty, but I LOVE THAT!!), my spouse had the Cajun pasta with sausage and shrimp (it was the best pasta she has ever had), our toddler shared the pasta, had French fries, and barbecue beans (she said they were the best beans she has ever had). The cashier was so nice and gave us free samples of the sweet tea and asked if we wanted to change the sweetnes and when the kitchen gave us green beans instead of collared greens she gave us both with no added price. The server/bartender was great, but he needed more help. The girl that came in to ‘help’ was mostly talking to one customer while he handled the rest of the place, bar and tables. We also tried the Fatty B, Meat me in St Louie, Magic Carpet Ride, and the Gyro. They were all amazing but the Gonzo and the Gyro were my favorites.
