“Great prices on yummy food. It's rare that you can get a combo fajita (STEAK & CHICKEN) for $15.99. Seasoned nicely. I personally had a veggie quesadilla and it came with lots of veggies you don't normally get, so I enjoyed it. The salsa, while not spicy heat-wise had a great flavor. We'll definitely be going back.Vegetarian options: There are several vegetarian options, and for vegan you can request no dairy.Parking: Larger parking availability behind the building.“

“When they first opened up, I took my dad there. He loved it every Saturday Sunday or during the week. Him and I would stop to eat there. Then my brother started going with us. Also on my respects to everybody that works there and the great food that prepare in the hospitality, I miss the days going there with my dad and brother they passed away. Sometimes I go by myself and sometimes I meet my family there. This is my favorite place to eat. It feels like home. My daddy loved this place to eat. May he and my brother rest in Peace amen“

“I love this place! I have been going here ever since I was a little girl. It is one of those Mexican restaurants that most people don’t know about. Located in downtown and has a great view of Kauffman Center. There is not a lot of parking in the front. Food 5/5! Service 5/5! Food is delicious and watch out for the Volcanic Margs hahaha, they’re deadly.“

“If you're looking for a fast food place that has great fried tacos, this is the place. Yes it was fast, but it's better than your typical fast food... this is no taco bell. I ordered one beef taco and one beef and cheese taco; both with hot sauce. They came out hot and crispy. They're served with a bright cheese on top, think powdered kraft cheese. I wasn't sure about that neon powder cheese but it was a fun spin on traditional cheese and was rather tasty.“

“We enjoy this spot on Parkville, food comes our quick and hot. Service is always good and the staff is super friendly. I've tried multiple dishes and never do they disappoint. Tonight I had the pick two with a crispy beef taco and taquitos. My partner had the pick two with soft beef tacos. I love queso, my only complaint is the queso here is not thick, otherwise the flavor is on point! If you haven't been here don't sleep on this spot.“

“This place has a family-run feel that's so fun. Sometimes they just send you back to the kitchen and show you everything that's cooking, and you order right there. They don't have margaritas, but they have something better. Try the Paloma.“

“Awesome neighboorhood casual mexican eatery that is family owned and operated. Loved the fresh cooked chips and the fresh salsa is outstanding. Try the pickle salsa on the beef tacos, sounds different but was fantastic. Will be coming back!“

“Came here for a quick bite before a Kansas City game. A family run restaurant with fresh ingredients and friendly service. They have a variety of food options including sandwiches, bbq and tacos. We tried their pork tacos and the pork was full of flavour and spiced deliciously. You can also tell all the ingredients are fresh. A great place to try if you’re in the area or heading to the stadium as it’s not too far from it.“

“It's nice to have a more authentic Mexican restaurant up north. Food was SUPER quick, not too hot, but it was good. Most meals are $10. Quick and polite service. The place itself is pretty old and could use some updates, but overall a nice place.“

“This weekend my boyfriend and I were wanting some Birria tacos. We found GG's Barbacoa Cafe on Yelp. I'm so glad we decided to stop in. The service was great. We were promptly helped and was offered assistance. We got a plate of 4 Birria tacos. We also got the Horchata and both were so delicious. We would definitely come back.“
“This is a market/restaurant. The food is delicious. We drive 60 miles one way to eat here. They make their tortillas right in front of you. We always buy both the corn and flour tortillas. I've tried many of their food items and it is all delicious. I especially like the tamales and tacos. It's very casual. Around noon each day the place is packed.“

“Go here for the tacos not the atmosphere. The tacos are literally some of the best I have ever had. We have traveled several times to Mexico and my husband and I joked that if we want a cheap "vacation" we have to come back here because the food is amazing. The salsa was not but ask for the "green stuff" it is so much better. The tortillas are handmade by the way. YUM! The service was great. Go here to eat not for the ambiance.Parking: Easy parking.“

“We visit this food truck on a fairly regular basis. They have good food, they are fast and the staff is always friendly. The space is nice too as they added an umbrella in the hotter months to shade customers. We recommend. We always get the #1 with chicken burrito and either asada tacos or birrira tacos.“

“Heard good things locally and it's the rare gem where they're better than hyped.Chicken was perfect: smoky, tender, flavorful. Salsa is beautiful, rice is well over average, beans are plain ?♂️They serve a real deal half chicken, could feed two!Value is off the charts, it's such a good combination of delicious & affordable, I almost don't want to give it a good review so the line stays manageable ?Vegetarian options: It's chicken, and the beans have meat in there, but you can order rice~“

“Went here on a weeknight last month and it seemed very low key even though they have a full bar and plenty of seating. I wasn’t paying attention to prices but we got a variety of 8 tacos plus salsa, grilled peppers and onions for about $20. Would definitely come back again.“

“The food was amazing, they cut the meat to pretty fine pieces, so it's very easy to eat as far as street tacos go.The service was great, very kind staff, you may need to know some Spanish to get by here. The payment is CASH ONLY. Don't forget to bring cash with you.The space looks like they've done well with a low budget. It could be better, but for what it is they've done their best.“

“Delicious as always. I picked up some lunch here. This might be my new favorite place. I was able to call and place my order over the phone. About 15 minutes later, I headed down to pay and pick it up. I was on my way in no time. They do have a dining area, but it is pretty small.“

“This is one of the top 3 best places to get tacos in Kansas City. They have a wide variety of options but I always get the lengua. Their chips and queso is perfect and I love that they’re open late. They have a condiment bar where you can dress up your tacos exactly how you like them. Highly recommend.“

“Food was very delicious and authentic to mexican cuisine. I had a torta and fries and they gave plenty of fries and not a small portion like some restaurants. The torta was exceedingly good, the bread didn’t get all soggy and fall apart and meat was seasoned just right. 10/10 recommend!“

“Food was good, not really worth the price though. It is a bit expensive but a unique atmosphere. Their flavor combination for most items are spot on... recommend the tostadas & the shrimp chorizo tacos ? ? ?.Kid-friendliness: The cashier was incredibly friendly to my 8 yr old daughter. Offered her a candy while we waited for them to package our food.“

“I attended a handball game in NKC and saw this restaurant on the back of the players shirts. I decided to look them up and they were only 12 mins from my house so I had to stop by. The food is fantastic here and the staff is very welcoming and friendly. Absolutely great service! (Which is hard to come by now a days)My family loved their entire meal. My wife had empanadas (which she LOVES and this is now her favorite place to eat them) and the kids had tacos (very juicy and flavorful; they’re very picky and they loved it). I had one of their delicious tortas (asada) and ever since, we make plans as a family to go at least once every 2 weeks.I’m happy to see this business is also invested in giving back to the community by supporting local sport teams. That says a lot about the people behind running the business. Highly, highly recommend!“
“I have been getting taco shells from Arts for at least 25 years. I get the restaurant size (50 doz). They are the best money can buy. We have regular taco fry’s with church and family friends. There is an on going contest to see who eats the most. So far my grandson holds the record of 19.“

“La Costa surpassed my expectations with its excellent food! I ordered through DoorDash, and the deliciousness of the authentic street tacos was a solid 10/10. The queso and fajitas were top-notch, making it a truly enjoyable experience. Highly recommend!“

“I can't say enough good stuff about this place. Even after their building burned down they continue to provide the same yummy food from their food truck right in front of the same spot. The family is so nice they just make you want to keep coming back even if you don't need to (as my waist keeps growing).“

“In a region of limited access to tacos, this truck has been providing a public service. The tacos are respectable. I would get the quesabirria much more if the disapproving face of my doctor didn't appear in my mind every time I eat them. But for us, the highlight is the al pastor burritos. They make a great pregame meal, and by that I mean we have eaten so many of these in the parking lot before KC Current matches. The tortas are also fun on occasion, but the burritos seem to be the best match of flavor and value. Staff is nice and they run an efficient shop, about as frictionless as you can hope for. My only complaint? I keep forgetting they're not open on Mondays and routinely disappoint myself. But even in the depths of despair I know that hope rises in the new day.“

“Best tacos in KC! I’ve had tons over the years all over town and in other cities. Most tender and perfectly cook meats. Lengua and Tripas are my favorite. Birria is ? also. Can’t go wrong w anything on the menu. And their presentation is so unique w pinto beans and grilled onion making for a complex taste sensation. These ladies have it figured out! A true gem and so worth the drive for me every time!!“

“El Camino Real is EVERYTHING I look for in Mexican food. This place brought me back to my youth Growing up around Hispanic families and eating all I could. The food is on point. The LENGUA is the best I have ever had in my life. The corn tortillas are TOP NOTCH.“

“My husband & I recently moved to the area & had a long day. We didn't finish moving until about 8pm and we're so hungry. The only place we know in the area that's open late is 'tacos el guero' so we headed over there. By chance, we came across El Chaparros a few doors down and they were still open! It looks to be a small, family run business. Very nice people and the food was INCREDIBLE! My husbandis VERY picky and he loved it. Went back today for lunch and still so so good.“

“I was driving by at lunchtime yesterday and decided to grab some takeout and see what this place is all about. The first thing I noticed was the bright, open and colorful dining room. I sat down at the bar and started reading their extensive menu and was impressed by the sheer number of entrees they offer including seafood and steaks. I found the lunch specials and ordered a #8 which is a burrito and a tamale served with a side of rice, bag of chips and a coupon salsa for $8.99. it was a generous platter and even though it was delicious I couldn't finish it. My kid found the leftovers in the fridge after school and asked if she could eat it. After the first bite she started asking where it came from and told me "You have to take me there!!!!". So it looks like we'll be going back ?“

“Local dive in the heart of Kansas City serving authentic Latin/Mexican food. They have a drive through food pickup lane in front. Screen in patio seating and indoor seating. Our first time here. We sat in the screen in patio area. Nice, clean with enough seating for about 20 people. We ate and watch several cars drive up for food/drink pickup. Price may be a little higher than other places but food is really good and authentic.“

“I enjoy eating at Dixon’s a lot. I have been going there for many years. The food is always good.Kid-friendliness: It is kid friendly. Several families dining there on my last visit.Wheelchair accessibility: Probably not the easiest place to access with a wheelchair. Due to the age and design of the building. But I have seen people in wheelchairs dining there.“
“I went here because my girlfriend insisted it was good. I'd never heard of the place, and after reading the one other Yelp review, I didn't exactly have high hopes. We arrived on a Saturday evening and while the taco place next door (Tacos el Güero, I believe is the name) had a line of folks outside, Willie's Burritos was dead. No customers, just one middle-aged gentleman hanging out and waiting for business. This did not boost my expectations. We went inside and asked what kind of burritos were available, since the previous review said he only had barbacoa when they went. He said they had ground beef, shredded beef, steak, pork, and chicharron. We ordered two steak, one ground beef, and one pork to go. The first thing he did after taking our order was step in the area just behind the counter and thoroughly wash his hands, right where we could see him. This was definitely a good sign. As we sat in the (very small) dining area to wait for our food, we were treated to the sounds of sizzling meats, followed shortly by the delicious scents our steak, pork, and beef being seasoned and cooked. In just a few minutes, our food was brought out, wrapped in foil and placed in paper bags. He asked if we wanted sauce, which we did. Rather than using ramekins, he squirted some of the creamy green sauce into sandwich bags and twisted and tied them off (like a dimebag of sauce). Overall, it needs a little work. They appear to be in the middle of painting the walls, they only take cash, their menu board has some issues, and their seating is VERY limited. However, the place is clean; the burritos are made fresh, delicious, flavorful, and reasonably priced; and their creamy green sauce is out of this world. This is a small business that I would definitely like to see stick around! Highly recommended.“

“Great food and welcoming staff. I could see this place as a franchise. The best way to describe it for someone who has never been here before. A Mexican Dairy Queen, from quesobirra's and sopes to banana splits and mangoneada's. It has a good variety on the menu. Support this place, once they invest more in that park and neighborhood this place will go far.“

“The ladies serve very reluctantly... it seems that one is going to order them on credit or for free... the food is excellent, I love the Juarez combo... but the service of the two tall thin ladies is terrible... I describe them that way because I don't know their names.“

“One of our favorite places that we frequent in KC. I've never been disappointed & food is consistently fantastic. If you are considering going, you've got to try it. Staff is very friendly and accommodating and can recommend options if you are unsure. Love all the cerviche options!“

“Best place to come to for street tacos. Recently they added an inside sitting area with quite a few chairs and tables. Definitely nice to finally be able to go inside. Especially when it’s raining or cold, so you can eat your tacos inside their space now. Their horchata is really good as well. My favorite is the tripe, with a little bit of extra crisp to it, their al pastor and asada are both really good as well. We live in Lenexa and will drive out here for some good tacos when the taco trucks out in JoCo just aren’t cutting it.“

“We got there at 7:30 in a Saturday night with a party of 9. They asked if we would sit "outside", we agreed. It was all enclosed. It was a dance area. They were doing salsa lessons. It was fun, even for 3 Gen X non-Hispanics! I really liked my street tacos.“

“My favorite Mexican food in KC, period. More "street style" than traditional restaurant style, and the food is just amazing. I've known the owner, Don Memo (Guillermo) for years, as he used to run the taco truck in front of Olivares Auto Garage, at Independence Ave/Denver on the Missouri side. His tacos were fantastic then, and are just next-level awesome now that he has an actual kitchen to work with. If you're looking to just sit down and enjoy some wonderful authentic Mexican food (antojitos) without the expense of a large restaurant, and without having to sit outside like at a taco truck, this is the place to go.“

“This place is unapologetically greasy, cheesy, and down right good. I understand why it has been around for so long. I loved my tacos and burger pocket. It is so old school, you know exactly what kind of food you’ll be getting as soon as you walk through the doors. I loved every bite I had. I can’t wait to come back.“

“What a spot. This a total hole in the wall locals only sort of spot. You have to know it's there almost, and man is worth finding. Flavor is paramount here. Spice is for sure. The Hawaiian torta was absolutely phenomenal, and the shrimp burrito was very spicy yet so flavorful and delicious we couldn't stop. The dining area was remarkably clean and well kept.Parking: Very limited.Kid-friendliness: They have a specific children's menu.“

“Let me start out by saying the food is really good but the customer service gets 2 stars. The door says one time and they close the hour before that. The online time is wrong she turns off the light at 8:55 not 9 o'clock and online it says 10 pm. The young lady running the register is rude I went twice to make sure I wasn't tripping the 1st time.? She has a whole attitude if you order after 830pm. So if you like good food with a dash attitude this is the place to go....“
