“A very unique place. The food was delicious! The white sauce was on point. They gave more meat than noodles! At first glance, you'd walk past this place but do not be deterred by the appearance on the outside. The inside is very simply put together but clean and inviting! The waitress was kind and very attentive. The whole experience was great! Priced perfectly for the quality of food.“

“Visiting from Montreal and Hubby wanted to visit a St. Louis Jazz or Blues bar/restaurant and this came up in several searches. We had a great time with a great meal sharing several dishes and topping it off with a flaming bananas foster. We went on a Wednesday night and there was music, but it was with a 70 and 80 vibes. Wasn't what we were expecting but was a fun time nonetheless. Would definitely visit again!!“

I ordered sweet tea - I am always hesitant about this when I visit a restaurant for the first time because I am a complete tea snob but it was perfect amount of sweet and most importantly home brewed! We had the seafood broil meant for 2 people - called Big Bend boil I think. Absolutely out of this world delicious Cajun flavor. We picked the “very hot” option because we have a high tolerance and it definitely had a kick! We will probably go hotter next time but that probably wouldn’t be for everyone, we are heat freaks. Lastly our waiter was wonderful, right amount of tentative and friendly. Wish I got his name. We will be back!“

“We came into Charlie Gitto’s on the Hill with no reservation, to celebrate my birthday. There was a short wait for seating but we got drinks and were checked on during our wait. “Stayed up late and made a reservation a month in advance for my hubby‘s birthday and it was well worth it. Wright’s has a romantic & moody vibe, perfect for a date night. We started off with the crab cake which was by far the most delectable bite we had. An absolute must have! For our entrees, we chose the potato-crusted halibut and 14oz New York strip. The halibut was delicate in flavor, but the lemon beurre blanc sauce packed richness. Unfortunately the NY strip was disappointing. It was cooked to a perfect medium rare, however the steak & crust itself was dry & tough. We would recommend future guests just stick with the seafood entree options, as they were absolutely delicious. The onions rings were good as is, but the tavern aioli made them great. The service we received was impeccable. Overall, we still had a 5 star experience at Wright’s and will be back!“

“Recently ate there, really by accident, we had tickets for an early performance at the Fox theater, but had no reservations. Had waited at another restaurant which was clear we would not have time to eat, and catch the performance. So we went across the street to try Gary’s. The 5 of us got right in, our waiter was fantastic, he was so talented, and great with my granddaughters. Ate a wonderful meal, everyone liked their selection. We did not have time for dessert so the waiter brought us each of us over a piece of chocolate cake with our meals.😊 we will be going back to Gary’s, because of the service and food. Please give it a try if you are in the area you won’t be disappointed.“
