“I'd just like to point out to everyone that the majority of the staff at this location are high schools kids. And this is likely their first job. They are trying. Cut them some slack, jeez. As well as is you're complaining about portion sizes, this is a restaurant, they get the supplies that are delivered to them, so they really can't control what they're given, if you have that big of an issue don't be a tightwad and go somewhere else.“
“I love blacksheep but tonight my food was just not good and it was so disappointing because we usually never have any complaints. I got the loaded fries and they were not very good which getting them to go happens but the "pulled pork" was just huge chunks of extremely tough meat I could barely chew.“
“I have no better way to describe Civil Kitchen than just a really cool place. The restaurant is beautiful decorating and has a hip, welcoming vibe. Food was delish and the menu had the perfect balance of classic comfort American and dishes with a twist. We didn’t have any drinks but pursued their drink menu and they seemed to have a really fun menu.Parking: Minimal street parking outside the restaurant but there is a large public lot about 2 blocks away“
“Upon arrival during Dinner . We were greeted by 2 people. Very pleasant and friendly. Seated immediately. We had 5 adults. Server was very knowledgeable and answered any questions we had. He had waters at the table within 1 min of seating. When we ordered drinks. The rest of the table ordered soda. I ordered unsweetened tea. He tried to steer me away from the “unusual” tasting tea. I said it was ok as I don’t drink sodas . He was right ? I drank it anyway.Ordered 5 appetizersRueben Rolls - most excellent taste just like a RuebenScottish eggs - unique flavor. Very crispy outside and the sauce made it even betterPanko Fried shrimp - can’t go wrong with perfectly cooked shrimpTriple dip - This was good. But could’ve been better . Queso was on point. Salsa was good. Was wanting more spice tho. Guacamole was my only disappointment. No salt or spice and had a very distinct lemon/orLime taste.Fried pickles Breaded fried pickles - so good . Im not a fan of the sandwich style pickles for fried . However these were top notch.Entrees includedAlfredo Mac with Shrimp x2 - So creamy and tender shrimp . - Huge PortionsPub Mac - The best Mac I’ve ever tasted . You can taste all the different kinds of cheese. Pasta perfectly cooked and enough to take home and enjoy later .Fish n Chips . This place Fried Cod rivals the best around. In a beer battered fish n chips competition. Hands down this would win. I love my fish. The show string fries are on fire. Perfectly seasoned and delicious. Slaw was slaw (not a fan of slaw) but was delicious, not too much dressing and not dry.El Dublin chicken and Chorizo with the house made queso . OMG . Served with tortillas.Overall the food is very well prepared . Service was top notch. He went above and beyond every step of the way. This place was packed and he never missed a beat. The young adults ordered soda floats for dessert. Very interesting combinations .Chocolate ice cream and Dr PepperCookies n cream with cherry cokeVanilla and cherry coke .We will be back. On top of everything. The seat we had was by the big window over looking the street. Dinner and entertainment ?Pictures are not the best. ( we were hungry )Parking: It is Downtown, during peak times it is hard to find Close parking. However, 1 block away is a parking garage.“
“I love billiards! The atmosphere is perfect for me and my friends and the staff is amazing! Jaden served us and he was so attentive, and quick. Not only that, but he made us laugh every time he came around. I will be coming back for more food, and will be asking for Jaden as my server!“
“I had my first burger from Red’s yesterday. It was a really good burger. They have plenty of options for add ons. My husband got cheesy fries and I got onion rings. Those were some of the best onion rings I’ve ever eaten. I definitely recommend the root beer as well. All was delicious.“
“I was quite impressed with their service. I don't know what they do to their fries, but I could not get enough. They were quick to serve and had a friendly smile to go along. I am kinda glad that the first place was too lazy to deal with the bus load, or we wouldn't have had the opportunity to be treated like we were appreciated.“
“Not a bad alternative pub restaurant in Downtown Springfield. I had dinner there after work yesterday.I had asked 417 Taphouse on Facebook Messenger if they offer coffee and if they require purchasing alcohol to order food. (Dublin's Pass, Early Bird, and The Pitch are pub restaurants that all offer coffee and do NOT REQUIRE purchasing alcohol.) They said that yes they do offer coffee, and no they do not require purchasing alcohol. BUT--and here's why I give this place a 4-star review, not 5--when I asked Hilary, my server, if they had coffee, she said that they do not. So I almost walked away. BUT Hilary managed to find out they did have coffee after all. They just had a K-cup, and only one kind of creamer. Despite the limitations, though, the coffee made the perfect alternative pub drink. After all, I am a coffee addict, and I don't drink alcohol. I really enjoy drinking coffee at pubs as well as more traditional restaurants.I had two appetizers, their Loaded French Fries and their Waffles, with some coffee. I had already planned to order their fries because I felt that they made good "pub grub". And sure enough, I really loved them, and the waffles. You see, Dublin's Pass used to serve buckets of delectable potato chips and French fries of their own recipe, but not anymore. I really miss that "pub grub," and I wish Dublin's Pass would resume serving them. One last thing, one of several flags hanging from the ceiling is the national flag of the Republic of Ireland. They are famously a European pub country, just like the United Kingdom.“
“The fried oysters tasted like grease, but the rest of the food was really good. I really liked the fish and shrimp. There was only one employee that evening, so our order did take a very long time to arrive, for 5 people. It had a nice small town southern eatery feel to it though, which was a positive note for it.“
“Hardee's is the best fast-food restaurant for breakfast. The biscuits and gravy are always delicious and for a reasonable price of 2 for $5.The workers are always a delight to see in the morning. (At least, I know this for the Hardee's located on the corner of Chestnut Expressway and West Bypass.)Especially Heather. She will make the start of your day pleasantly bright with her smile and happy attitude.“
“Exceptional! I ordered through the drive-through 2/23/24 around 6:30pm. The gentleman who took my order was kind and professional. Very pleasant. When I arrived at home I could see my burger was carefully prepared and thoughtfully wrapped. So many times orders are just sort of thrown together. Not so last night. My food tasted great, it was fresh and so neatly prepared. Well done evening crew at this location. Very well done.“
“Some of the most flavorful tacos in town! Very good quantity and quality of meat! Love the fact that you can stay in your vehicle and they will come to you take your order and bring it back!Parking: Stay in vehicles they come to you take your order and bring it back“
“Food here was great. Love the friendly staff and cozy outdoor sitting. Also while you eat you get to hear all and see all the peacocks there. So if you get a chance go vist Dickerson Park Zoo and try the café out.Kid-friendliness: They also have a playground out front for the kids to play at.“
“I ordered one of the new chicken ranch sandwiches. It was very good! I also asked for a specialty drink, hot latte with caramel and extra whipped topping. It was GREAT! The people working were really attentive and took care of my special request. Good job!“
