“Hands down one of the best dining experiences we’ve had locally. The ribeye steak was nothing short of phenomenal—perfectly cooked, incredibly tender, and packed with flavor in every bite. You can truly tell the quality of the cut and the care that goes into preparing it.

What made the night even better was our server, Scotty. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming without ever being overbearing. His recommendations were spot-on, and he made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. Service like that is rare and absolutely appreciated.

Between the amazing food and outstanding service, this steakhouse has earned a top spot on our list. We’ll definitely be back—and we’ll be asking for Scotty again!”

“Cannot recommend Buschman street cafe enough!!! We ate here for the first time last night for mine and my best friend’s 30th birthday. We had reservations made for 16, and they were perfectly accommodating. The food was amazing, the service was out of this world, and the atmosphere was top notch! We will 100000% be back!”

“We visited Logan's in Hattiesburg last night. We had an awesome waiter. Cole was working his tail off! Unfortunately, we had some wait on refills and sauce because he seemed to be the only person working. He was scrambling while a group of 4 or 5 servers (and maybe a manager?) stood at the to go/Doordash stand laughing, talking, and playing on their phones for most of the time we were there. Tables needed bussing, glasses were on the bar after people left, etc. Cole was running and scrambling all over the place helping people. Maybe he deserves a promotion to get some people to work as hard! Very happy with food. We'll be back, but hope to not get one of the lazy "workers." We're drove 45 minutes to eat and chose Logan's due to not having a long wait while other places had an hour. Now we know why it seemed slow on a Friday night.”

“2025 Update: After having such a good time at Nostalgia the last time I was there (May 2024), I suggested it to a family member who wanted to celebrate his birthday (June 2025). That probably wasn't the best decision. I was disappointed to see they have not only changed locations, but the entire vibe was different. This is no longer a place for mature people (30-45)who like to dress well, hear good music, and have a good time. This is now a place for the younger (21-30) people who like bottle popping, music you can't hear over, and twerking/standing on furniture. If I was 15 years younger, this would likely be my weekend go-to. But not now. Unfortunately, my turn-up era has passed, and I'm in my good, safe, fun era. So I probably wouldn't return. Just wanted to provide an update for those who may have seen my previous review and thought the vibe was the same.

Original review: I was invited to Nostalgia to celebrate a friend's birthday. It was easy to find (right off Main Street in Hattiesburg), but parking is scarce (through no fault of the establishment, as there are other businesses on the same strip). The bar downstairs is nice, neat, and clean, and there's ample sitting space. The VIP lounge upstairs is decent (it's the typical VIP: bar, lounge furniture, DJ, dance floor, and restrooms). There's also a really nice patio downstairs where you can enjoy hookah and a drink within earshot of the music. The vibe was great, and there was plenty of security patroling inside and out. No foolishness at all (which I was concerned about due to other reviews). The drinks were ok. This is not a bar where you're going to get mixologist crafted cocktails, but the bartenders do use a strong pour for the typical whiskey and coke or vodka and cranberry. All in all, the music was great (mix of old and new) and we had a good time!”

“We recently ate lunch at Tabella. I had the lighter meal of lemon pepper chicken, garlic green beans and garlic potatoes. The chicken was a thin piece of breast that had been grilled which is what I like but it was overcooked resulting in it being dry. The green beans were undercooked. The potatoes were excellent as was the service. This won't stop us from eating at Tabella in the future but it wasn't what we have come to expect when eating there.”

“The music is good, but they play it way too loud. The place gets very crowded and there is limited seating. They do have a sign by the DJ booth that says no drinks on the dance floor, but I continuosly saw people taking their drinks and cigarettes on the dance floor. The dance floor is a good size, but needs to be sanded down smooth because now it is uneven and is a trip hazard. For some reason there are regularly 6 or more people moving in and out of the bar/grill area. ???”

It was myself, my 10 year old, and my college kids, and since two of them are 21, we just sat at a high top table instead of the bar. Several TVs showing different games, Wasn’t too loud, the food was really good (not just typical bar food), and the service was fast. Even with the big and friendly crowd (It has a neighborhood bar vibes) before the game, everything ran super smoothly to make it in time to watch the team warm up before the game. I’m putting this place on my list of “gameday spots to eat””

It's called the southern Deluxe and I only happened upon it myself when I asked the lady one day I want the biggest burger you have. I assumed it was a double Big One since Wards is famous for having Big Ones! But the lady said that the Southern Deluxe is their biggest burger. That was about 5 years ago and not all stores have it, it wasn't on the drive-thru menu at the store where I got this one, but I just ordered it anyway and it was served to me no questions asked and it was by far the best Southern Deluxe I have ever had.
I wouldn't worry about looking for it on the menu I would just ask for it and they will tell you if they have it or not, if they don't then they should. The southern Deluxe has everything on it that Wards has to offer, the burger alone will run you about $12 but I guarantee you you won't need another one. Try it! While you're still young!”

This past Saturday night, October 4th we at Hattiesburg High School class of 1975 had our 50 year high school reunion at Brewskys and it was fabulous. We had close to 100 people and used their “in house” catering which I later found out was Sully’s and everything could not be beat! We had an absolute blast and the bartenders and staff did a great job! Since we held the event there we even got to stay for the band at 11! We might be older, but we ain’t dead yet! “I recently moved to Hattiesburg Ms. If I want a good burger with fries Five Guys is always my go to burger place. Everyone is so nice the employees greet you with a smile. The way the employees are with kids are amazing. When my nephew and niece comes they have them laughing and they're the same way with other kids. When leaving the employees always say Thanks For Coming with a smile. But I wish the owners of Five Guys would think about selling pineapple slices I love pineapples on my burgers. “My family and I flew into town from Los Angeles on 11/11/2021 and the next morning we decided grab a bite to eat at lthe Waffle House, in Hattiesburg, MS location 235. Our only expectation was to eat good food in a timely manner. However. The experience we received was hands down perhaps the best sservice we have ever recieved from iut of town. The food was just what I expected . However, the service and crew was above our expectation. They were prompt, engaging, polite, relatable and more. Our 2 year old who at times can be off and on about her eating choices determined this day she was only interested in bacon. She then adked for chips and i went to the car to get a bag of Gold Fish. Shebthen begin to song the world renowned jingle, " Baby Shark". This led to me singing along with her and soon after several other employees began doing the same. Someone began to play the actual song and from just about the whole resturant was singing along of clirse causing my daughter to become ecstatic and full of joy as she danced! This made my baby girl's day and my family as well. I must say that it's service like this that you miss when its not there and surley one you want to take with you wherever you go! If i had to sum the experience up using a simple phrase it would be one drawn from the 80's television show, Cheers!
