“We had the absolute best experience with Scotty’s smokehouse! We had to reschedule our event due to inclement weather and they made the process so easy and adjusting their schedule to accommodate us! Now to the food! We had a selections of their appetizers for our event and it’s not hard to please some hungry firefighters but the food we had from Scotty’s was absolutely amazing!! We would absolutely recommend and use them again for future events!! We can’t thank you enough for taking care of our firefighters!!“

“The Lunch Special has changed to the Rayford's Special. The price of the Special has increased and it does not come with dressing. If you would like ranch or blue cheese with your wings expect to pay extra. However, the chicken is still good. The service is mediocre. The fish is good. Be prepared to have your own hotsauce. They didn't have hotsauce packets for the fish. The cashier let me know I would have to pay extra if I wanted hotsauce in a cup even though they didn't have any. I paid extra because --how can you eat fish without hotsauce?“

“We had been here once before and the food was good. This time the hushpuppies tasted old as if they had been reheated from the day(s) before. The slice of brisket came with a large amount of fat with less meat.
The servers acted as though they were being bothered as we made our selection of food. It is a cafeteria style restaurant and had been great service and food in the past.“

“I ordered the cajun wet mild wing 5 piece combo with season fries with a lemonade no ice with blue cheese dressing. When i tell you this was best wings i had in a long time.The wings had a great flavor everything was hot even the fries were hot and crispy. I ordered a lemonade no ice but ended with a arnold palmer half sweet tea and half lemonade it was soooooooo good. “Hi I am the general manager whom this young lady is speaking on. I would like to first began by saying I am food safety certified and is very aware of cross contamination. I can't believe if this was the case why didn't you just say sir are you going to change your gloves? I am very professional and it is my desire to serve the public safe food. I am a little disturbed that someone would take a shoe tie this far. We always use tongs when handling food and change gloves regularly when handling raw food in the back kitchen. We have an A from the health department visit to the restaurant. Praises to God the restaurant is doing extremely well and present customers are very happy. Thanks!!“

“LongHorn Steakhouse has always been one of those dependable spots where you expect a hearty meal and a relaxed atmosphere. Our recent visit had a few bumps in the road, but it still managed to be an entertaining experience—thanks largely to the bartender, Michelle.

To be fair, we did come in about an hour before closing, which is never the easiest time for any kitchen. Unfortunately, my meal arrived a little colder than expected, and my wife’s lamb chops were… well… let’s just say they were still auditioning to return to the pasture. It happens, especially late in the evening, so we tried to take it in stride and keep the mood light.

Now here’s where the evening turned memorable.

Michelle, the bartender, absolutely carried the night. From the moment we sat down, her energy was infectious. She was upbeat, engaging, and clearly working hard to keep everyone happy as the night wound down. At one point we even heard her passionately advocating on our behalf to the kitchen staff—which, honestly, was both impressive and a little hilarious. You could tell she genuinely cared about making sure guests had a good experience, even when things behind the scenes weren’t going perfectly.

Her enthusiasm turned what could have been a frustrating dinner into a genuinely funny and enjoyable evening. Good service can completely change the tone of a visit, and Michelle proved that.

So while the food may have missed the mark this time, the hospitality did not. We’ll definitely give LongHorn another shot—and next time, we’ll probably just sit at the bar and let Michelle run the show again.“
