“My best friend and I went about an hour before closing, but were still treated as if they would be open for hours. We ordered as soon as we were seated since we were both starving!😅 Our food came probably about 20 mins later. For beverages, I chose the strawberry half & half and he chose the mango one. I didn't like the strawberry one and felt it was alot going on for that particular beverage so I ordered the regular one afterwards. I ordered the chop steak which has become my go-to here and he ordered a burger. Our server was pretty attentive as well even though they were all in closing mode. No complaints. We will be returning!“

“Got the peacemaker today! It is very rare that I enjoy restaurant bbq and even rarer that it doesn’t need bbq sauce and today’s sandwich was money! It was moist and flavorful and required zero sauce!!“

“We had the absolute best experience with Scotty’s smokehouse! We had to reschedule our event due to inclement weather and they made the process so easy and adjusting their schedule to accommodate us! Now to the food! We had a selections of their appetizers for our event and it’s not hard to please some hungry firefighters but the food we had from Scotty’s was absolutely amazing!! We would absolutely recommend and use them again for future events!! We can’t thank you enough for taking care of our firefighters!!“

“Super delicious food! Generous serving sizes as well. We were thrilled with our orders. The party wings, pulled pork, rib tips were ON POINT! Ordering process was quick and order was ready in a timely fashion. I can't decide on a favorite because everything was scrumptious! I think I will work my way through Reese's BBQ menu. “The Lunch Special has changed to the Rayford's Special. The price of the Special has increased and it does not come with dressing. If you would like ranch or blue cheese with your wings expect to pay extra. However, the chicken is still good. The service is mediocre. The fish is good. Be prepared to have your own hotsauce. They didn't have hotsauce packets for the fish. The cashier let me know I would have to pay extra if I wanted hotsauce in a cup even though they didn't have any. I paid extra because --how can you eat fish without hotsauce?“

“Bar bq pulled pork sandwiches with fries, beans, and potatoe salad was really good. I also got a pound of tip tips, dry seasoning with bbq sauce on the tip. All good tips, no hard dry pieces. A must try!!! Please bring back the CAKE! CARAMEL, STRAWBERRY, LEMON AND CHOCOLATE!“

“O-M- GEE! I ordered the ox tails with jollof rice and when it was delivered, it was still hot like it had just been placed in the container! well seasoned, meat so tender it melts in your mouth, and the rice was delicious as well! I had to call a friend and send her a pic! LOL! 10/10“

“I'm surprised that there are so many negative reviews of Vernon's. I don't consider myself an expert on brisket, which is what I had, but I have eaten it in a number of really exceptional places in New York City and in Austin, Texas and other places in Texas. Many places in New York City. And this brisket was just about as good as any that I've had. Really really delicious. Price was fair. Good portions. Good corn bread. Service was quick. Sides were good. I can't recommend it too highly. The only drawback is if you're going there just for the food, you may have to pay the $10 parking fee for Graceland parking lot... but it's worth it. Take all your friends! Highly recommended.“

“The rib tips are soo good !!! And the mild & hot bbq sauce is fye. However, best to go during the day tho bcuz getting the foods towards their closing time the rib tips don’t be cut into bit size pieces. The food is fresh and made to order. I love their fries and fried okra too. Worth coming back too. Can’t wait to try their smoked turkey legs and bbq nachos. Overall, highly recommend for good bbq in Memphis.“

“Hi I am the general manager whom this young lady is speaking on. I would like to first began by saying I am food safety certified and is very aware of cross contamination. I can't believe if this was the case why didn't you just say sir are you going to change your gloves? I am very professional and it is my desire to serve the public safe food. I am a little disturbed that someone would take a shoe tie this far. We always use tongs when handling food and change gloves regularly when handling raw food in the back kitchen. We have an A from the health department visit to the restaurant. Praises to God the restaurant is doing extremely well and present customers are very happy. Thanks!!“
