“The food was good as usual. The fried green tomatoes and crab cakes were so delicious we couldn't get a picture before they were eaten. Keyonte was the worst server ever. We placed our order upon arrival. However, she acknowledged hearing it but gave no valid reason for not putting it in. We had to request silverware multiple times. The royal reds were delicious as usual. However, Keyonte let the shells sit on the table for an extended amount of time despite there being little room for the oysters. We had to ask her to remove them. We asked her 2x for a to-go box. Finally, as we proceeded to self serve, Keyonte offered and delivered a box that was obviously too small for the oyster poboy and the check for $144.“

“I absolutely love Valley St Fish, when I have a fish craving this is my go to place. The only thing I dislike is that this place has probably been in business since before I was born and they have don’t no upgrades to the building or parking. You would think with all these centuries of being in business they would make some improvements to the place. You also have to have life insurance to park and cross the street to get to the building as traffic is horrendous. Other than this it’s the best fish place in the city.“

Music is mostly oldies and at level so you can talk to your partner while enjoying the restaurant - I have been eating there for over 30 years - nothing has changed - he has a 7ft security guard that can make you feel very safe. I have had their oyster Po boy, chicken wings, gizzards, livers and they were all delicious. I have moved to Madison, but I betcha I’m stopping today for my order of their house salad and gizzards!
