“So I grew up in the 60's and 70's right up the street in utica that made the best Half moons and Tomato pie. I now live here in NC and love to be able to get my fix without having to have a family member delivery it from NY. You have done a great job bringing these 2 items to NC. But I do have one suggestion on your Tomato pie 😊 I believe you got the sauce down pat 👍, but the crust needs to be softer and moisture and not so airy and dry. And reduce the size of the ends. Too much hard crust with no sauce 😊 Half moons are great but they could be better with the cookie part be thinner and more fudgie and the vanilla frosting be more creamy like the chocolate frosting. But all and all everything is great at the Utica Bakery. Thank you for bringing a little bit of Utica to Apex. Hope you open a little restaurant soon with Greens on the menu 😋“

“I recently took my kids to Cold Stone Creamery, and it was an absolute delight! From the moment we walked in, the kids were captivated by the vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. The wide array of ice cream flavors and mix-ins left them excited and eager to try something new.

The staff was incredibly friendly and patient as the kids made their selections, helping them to choose the perfect combinations. Watching the ice cream being mixed on the cold stone with their chosen toppings was a highlight for them. They loved the interactive experience and couldn’t stop smiling.

As for the ice cream itself, it was creamy, rich, and absolutely delicious. The kids enjoyed their custom creations, and each bite was met with happy exclamations of how good it was. “The Beyond Orange Chicken tasted really good, but the individual pieces of 'chicken' had a really tough, almost hard, exterior. My guess is that they'd been sitting there for a while because it's not ordered as often as other dishes? It was really nice to have a vegetarian entree option, so I'm not complaining overall, but there were a few pieces I almost couldn't get a fork into. Like I said, overall taste was good. Vegetable spring rolls also good.

Service was fine, nothing negative. Atmosphere was pleasant, we sat/ate/talked for probably 30-45min.

Vegetarian options: The only options I tried were the Beyond Orange Chicken and veggie spring rolls but both were good. Cream cheese rangoons are a good side option as well.“
