“Mint is the best restaurant in the Boone/Blowing Rock area! The food is fantastic, most ingredients from India. Cucumber salad and hot cauliflower appetizer, the saag options are all amazing. The service is attentive, friendly and professional. Aman is the best. He remembers us and makes us feel special plus he makes the most delicious drink - Mango Mojito. Atmosphere is nice, and to top it all off it’s a great value.“

“Love their country sourdough. Best spot for brekky and lunch. The almond croissant is so good, it may qualify as a gateway drug. LOL. Super staff and one of my faves.“

“I asked the pink haired cashier to pick out 6 of her favorite cookies for me to try and they did not disappoint. Cookies taste rich but have a light, airy quality that are absurdly delicious. Favorite was the strawberry cheesecake cookie but all were great. More on me for not realizing and not a big deal but understand that they are baked to order so expect to wait while they are in the oven. Trust me they are worth it.“

“𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 - 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐧𝐞, 𝐍𝐂 ---- One of the hardest things to do is to find a local lunch spot that goes beyond your typical foods. After several recommendations we landed at this restaurant over in the downtown area of Boone off King Street. --- As an experienced traveler, having explored 68 countries and 36 states, I approach restaurant reviews with clear criteria: Ambience, Service, and Food (Quality, Taste, Presentation). My goal is to provide an unbiased perspective, highlighting both strengths and weaknesses. --- Ambiance – The restaurant blends the local cabin feel with modern décor creating an amazing indoor and outdoor dining area suitable for small gatherings including friends, family, business meetings, and groups, along with the ability to entertain larger setups for group events. They utilized modern touches such as large chandeliers and decorative lighting coupled with local artwork on the walls to create a culturally diverse space with a local vibe. --- Wait Staff - Our waitress was exceptionally attentive, offering insights into the diverse flavors of the menu. Highlights included Woodfired Flats & Pizzas, Handhelds/Sandwiches, Burgers, Tacos, and Soups/Salads. --- Food – In an area with plenty of traditional food options that provide standard burgers, sandwiches, and salads, this restaurant stands out by elevating ingredients and flavor combinations to new heights. Each dish showcases a commitment to fresh, quality ingredients and innovative flavor profiles truly brings their dining experience to an elevated level. --- Boone Philly: Deemed a customer favorite featuring tender chicken (or steak) paired with onions, peppers, mushrooms, and melted cheese on French bread. This seemingly simple dish impresses with its robust flavors and perfect harmony of taste, texture, and blend. It’s not your typical Philly. I would put this sandwich up against some of the local staples back in Philadelphia. --- Fig and Bacon: A standout dish, the Fig and Bacon grilled chicken sandwich on toasted sourdough is topped with applewood smoked bacon, whipped goat cheese, smoked gouda, and housemade fig marmalade. The fusion of sweet, savory, and creamy textures creates a truly exceptional culinary experience. My only small criticism is to be careful with the goat cheese. There were bites of the sandwich where the goat cheese overpowered all the other flavors. --- Side Options: Sandwiches come with a choice of chips or coleslaw, with upgrades available like Sweet Potato Fries, Mac N’ Cheese, Grilled Asparagus, and Fried Plantains. Do not just pass by the homemade chips, crafted with the same dedication to quality and freshness evident in every aspect of the menu. --- For those seeking a lunch spot that redefines classic dishes with innovative twists and exceptional quality, this local gem, open for lunch and dinner, promises a dining experience beyond the ordinary.“

“We decided to stop here for lunch, first time here, while visiting Boone. Rooted on King has a relaxing, calm and positive engery.
We loved the brick wall where we sat. Even the one bathroom had brick showing and really liked the sink and dresser/bottom of a hutch?
We were welcomed in by Sandra. She was very friendly and helpful! She explained how to order our food.
We looked over the menu and I ordered the chicken pesto panini. My daughter ordered the balsamic berry grilled cheese. We also received a side of microgreens. It did take a while to get our food, as they were busy, but it was worth the wait! The sandwiches were absolutely delicious!!!
Shout out to Chaya and Vincent who took our order and made our sandwiches. They were amazing. They were very friendly and helpful! You can tell that they love working there. They had great positive engery! If you are visiting Boone, we highly recommend Rooted on King!“

“Never ever have I had such a wonderful experience at a Juice Bar. I don’t visit allot of them, but truly desire to have a Juice Boone here in our home town. The juices, chick pea chicken salad, the soups, the taco dip. All organic and mouth watering. Truly wish I could order and have it delivered here like today. If only I was closer. Kudos to fresh organic deliciousness. 🙌❣️“

“This is THE place to stop every time you’re in Boone. Husband and I had the bison burger, waygu burger, fries & fried okra. Literally everything we ate was the best food I’ve ever had at a restaurant. The bison burger had avocado, salsa verde, and red onions. It was such a beautiful balance. And the atmosphere was a 10/10. Can’t wait to go back.“

“SHOUT OUT for your most recent 100 A rating! Proper, located at 142 Burrell Street in Boone, received an “A” grade and a final score of 100 on a recent inspection. Top notch and one of the BEST in BOONE! Everything I've ever had here has been incredible. Kudos Angela!“
“Very good west coast style IPA, called Booneshine IPA. Good food menu as well. Except French onion soup, don't get it. It comes without cheese on top and the toasted bread on the side has something other than butter on it, nasty tasting.“

“For me, Panera is a great healthy food option in Boone. The calories are shown right on the menu, you could swap out apples for bread if you’d like.
They also offer hot and cold sandwich options, as well as sweets and other accessories if you’d like those
I love the fact that they offer soup, so you can get a bit of comfort food on those cold or stormy days.
Another nice thing about Panera is that you could get in and out fairly quickly“

“I was happy with my Sedona bowl. it was good. my biggest issue it was, it claimed the ball was vegan, but I happened to find a possum bone in it.“

“We heard this place was good from locals - quick and easy. When you walk in there is a window to order if you are getting to go. Menu is on a table behind the window - only saying this bc no one really explains anything when you walk in other than if you are getting to go you can’t sit down. Bagels are good they go heavy on the spread
Parking: Small parking lot in front of the place or street parking
Kid-friendliness: Easy causal / indoor and outdoor seating“
