“We had a wonderful date night here. First of all, LOVE that they pay their folks a living wage! Taylor was our server, and was delightful -- we loved her recommendations, including the scallop croquettes (ommgggg SO good). We also scarfed down the delicious combination of a salad, brussels sprouts, and fries. And our Paper Plane cocktails were top notch. So glad to have this gem here in Carrboro!“

“We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Iza. We had fantastic crafted cocktails and an appetizer of crispy Brussels sprouts which were the best we had ever had. Two of us have some allergy restrictions and they could not have been more amenable to creating us delicious and allergy safe foods. They even brought us out a few specially created dishes that were truly the best we had ever tasted. The customer service is impeccable, from the bartender to our server, to the owners making our dining experience one we will remember! We will be coming back to Iza very soon and highly recommend!! “Calming atmosphere and classy interior. Service was excellent. Shared two pizzas between three people, which made for a perfectly light dinner. I tasted the Funghi Panna and the Bufala. Both had very thin bases, which I prefer, and intricately baked crusts. I enjoyed the freshness of ingredients, and even spotted a couple garlic cloves on the Funghi Panna. The Bufala was classically flavorful and tasty, but next time I’ll reach for something special.“

I moved up from Florida which is covered in kava bars, so I was looking for a place to make me feel at home like I did at my favorite kava bar in Florida, Krave gives me the same vibes. I absolutely love this place, the bartenders are absolutely amazing as are the other customers!! Absolutely amazing.“

“This place used to be Vecino’s, and let me tell you, it is so much better now as Haw River Tap and Table! The staff is so nice, and the food is amazing. I have a high standard for food, and this place exceeded my expectations.

In January, I had the bbq sandwich and it was ah-mazing I wish I’d come back before they changed the menu! Next time I tried the fried chicken sandwich (with homemade pickles - perfect) with sweet potato waffle fries….and I’m not exaggerating when I say this is one of the BEST sandwiches I have EVER had. Truly mind blowing. The chicken was super crispy yet still very juicy, the homemade pickles were incredible, the bun was great/wasn’t dry at all which often happens, and the sauce they used just tied everything together. It was absolutely delicious.

“Guy Fieri should put this place on Diners Drive-Ins & Dives. Don't let the strip mall storefront fool you. Nor the kids working the counter. I am an Italian & ex-patriot Brooklyn native & this is the closest thing to my Grandmother's Sunday dinner that I have ever found in North Carolina. The house salad was all romaine no iceburg. The balsamic vinaigrette tasted homemade. There were even artichoke hearts in it. The mozzarella seemed to be hand breaded. The marinara tasted like it had been on slow cook since dawn. The garlic knots were very real. The penne was al dente & they seemed to give me a whole box of it. There was fresh shaved romano & fresh basil on top. It was like going back in time to the old neighborhood. My Southern wife special ordered the cheese lasagna with pesto & they even accommodated that unusual request. We did not have the pizza but for an authentic Sunday dinner it's the real thing. I wish they were not sold out of tiramisu I'm sure it's great too. If eggplant parmesan was on the menu it would be even better. The portions were so big we took half of it home in a box. Fresh sunflowers on the outdoor tables a very nice touch too. MOLTO BENNE!“
