India Gate had moved to the Homedtead Shopping Center on Hwy 54 and I’m anxious to visit the new location because I enjoy their food so much.

I’m a creature of habit and always eat the lamb curry because it is so good. I keep telling myself to try something different and I will (possibly).

Highly recommended.“

“We are from out of town, but we love supporting local businesses and going to farmer's markets! This one was fantastic! All the sellers were so patient, kind, and helpful. They didn't mind taking time to answer questions and a couple of places allowed us a free sample to try before we bought from them! There are so many little businesses there from produce to bakeries to meat to handmade goods to jewelry to clothes to food vendors!! Well worth a trip and several nearby paid parking lots! On Saturday, the one we were at said it gives an hour free if you scan a code. Just a wonderful space with lots of goodies!“

“We were there for a dog adoption event and I decided to try one of their ciders. I got the Tart Cherry Cider and it was really good. The location is great, but the parking is somewhat challenging to find. I love that they had a lot of ciders, since I have Celiac and am gluten free. But I would love it if some of their beer offerings were also gluten free/gluten reduced.

The space itself is awesome. They have a large game room with a pool table and arcade games, that one of my teenagers really gravitated towards.

And the dog adoption event with Freedom Ride Rescue was great! So many lovable dog options, from young to old, and the fosters were very knowledgeable about the temperament and backstory of each one. Overall, a great experience!“

“10 out of 10! The best freshest burger I have had probably ever, and I have access to very fresh beef as a farmer back home. Pastured grass-fed local beef and fresh brewed beer, you just can’t get better than that! Topped with house made pickles and pimento cheese!! 🤤 And Sam, the bartender was so friendly and such a good vibe! She recommended some good local spots and did not steer me wrong with dessert. Next time I’m in town I know where I’ll be eating. 👍 I love supporting local spots that support their local farmers and feed the community good clean food, AND it tastes sooo good!“

“I usually get my ninth street baked goods every Saturday at the Durham farmers market and every is always so wonderful and fresh.
This weekend for tomato day you guys made one of the best tomato tarts I’ve ever had I wish I’d bought a dozen more they were that amazing.
But I do miss seeing the young man that was there for so many years he was always so kind and personable. The new folks are very nice but us regulars miss him and his fun loving personality.“

“There is NOTHING like a Cosmic Cantina burrito with a side of chips and queso! I first had Cosmic Cantina in 2001 and it's STILL just as delicious as it was back then. I have never been disappointed by their food or their service. Even if you don't live in Durham, you HAVE TO give it a try. It's worth the drive!“

“We received the best service from Mariah this Sat. It was a party of 25 guests, she serviced use with 100% customer service. the food was great and we were leaving a funeral which was a bad day for all, we left feeling a littler lighter, due to the our server. She is a GEM.“
